Ella POV

"Jake!" I yell going to run after him as he jumps off a cliff and Grace holds me back.

"We'll have to look for him later." She says and I glare at her pulling my hand from her.

"I told you he was my responsibility, good or bad I'm taking responsibility." I say before running after him and jumping off the cliff as well to see if I'll be able to find him. I fall into the water and start gasping for air as I got out. I walk out and look around not seeing him, I know at this point I need to stay quiet or else I could get killed so I just start hiding at the best of my abilities.

Night time came soon enough and I started looking around as careful as I could and just wow.. this place.. if it's beautiful during the day it's breath taking during the night. I smile and look at a plant just as a white seed or weird looking thing came flying landing in front of me.

"You're beautiful." I whisper extending my hand to it just before a whole flock of them came to surround me. I freeze standing as still as possible not knowing what was going on or if I was in any danger with these things and just as they leave a Na'vi is standing right there in front of me.

"You're not from around here." His voice is tough and his structure is intimidating to say the least, so much so I had to take a step back just to calm myself enough to even be able to open my mouth and then close it again when he started speaking.

"What are you doing here?" He says taking another step towards me making himself look even bigger and intimidating. He was handsome, taller than me, intimidating, but in his eyes.. in his eyes I could see he didn't mean me any real harm.

"My name is Ella.. I came here to learn your ways." I say in Na'vi surprising him as he looks down at me walking around me touching my tail making me jump and take a step forward before looking at him again confused as to what he's doing.

"The things that just surrounded you.. do you know what they are?" He asks looking at me up and down before looking into my eyes again.

"No." I whisper feeling out of breath for a moment looking into his eyes.

"Those were seeds of the Sacred Tree. They are very pure spirits." He says and with that I'm over his shoulder as he runs.

"Wait.. oh gosh what are you doing?!" I almost yell as he just continues to run and I hold on to him for dear life.

"Please just let me go!" I say now scared, I've heard the stories of what happened and know they're not very welcoming to us anymore. After some more running we made it somewhere.

"Another one?" I hear before I'm thrown on the floor.

"Fucking asshole!" I yell in English as I hit the ground before getting up and looking around, locking eyes with my brother.

"Jake?" I mumble before noticing where I am.. well we're dead.

"Why have you brought her here?" Someone who I am assuming is the leader asked.

"There has been a sign." The one that brought me here said before a woman walked closer and walked around me much like he had done only difference is she stabbed me with something small making me hiss before licking my blood off the small stick.

"Ella." I hear Jake call as I look at him a bit scared, I just got this avatar I don't want to die in it already.

"What are you called?" The lady asked in English and I swallow before answering.

"My name is Ella Sully." I say in her language making her tilt her head.

"Why have you come here?" She asked and I took a deep breath before speaking.

"I've come here to learn, to study how you live and hopefully bring back your ways and customs back to my planet and make it a better place." I say standing my ground.

"As I've said it is hard to fill a cup that has already been full, and unlike Jakesully you seem to be a scientist like every other sky people that we have encountered." She says and I stand straighter up.

"You are both right and wrong, I have no interest in science, but as soon as the opportunity of walking among you was an option to me I started learning all I could about you that is how I know how to speak your language. I can say with confidence that I am a fast learner with extensive space to learn more." I say making her nod before looking at the man that brought me here.

"My son, you will teach her our ways. To dress and walk as we do." She says as my eyes looked at the man who looked away looking annoyed.

"It has been decided, my daughter will teach you our ways." She says in English to Jake before looking at me.

"And my son will teach you. Learn well Jakesully, Ellasully. And we will see if your insanity can be cured." She says and just like that I'm being pulled away by the guy again.

"Could you take it easy on the pulling? I'm just a girl you know?" I say as he pulls me into a room.

"You are a sky walker." He says as he starts looking around.

"What does that have to do with you carrying me on your shoulder and bringing me here just to throw me on the ground and then pulling on me as if I wasn't a living thing that actually feels?" I ask crossing my arms while looking at him as he comes back with basically strings in his hands.. oh no, tell me that's not what I think it is.

"Change, I'll be waiting outside." He says handing me the clothes before walking out. I look at it and stare at it before finally putting it out and walking out to see him just standing there.

"Let us go then." He says before he started walking.. this time just allowing me to follow rather than dragging me with him to what looks to be a dining area. Everyone just looks at me as we walk and I feel uncomfortable before he sat me down and brought me food. After we ate he took me to where they sleep and got down to one of them as I took the one next to him very carefully as he looks at me.

"Sleep well." I say before he pulls on a side and it starts wrapping around him and I follow his movement before going to sleep.

"Ella.. Ella!" I blink a little as a flash light is being shined into my eyes before I can focus and see Max.

"Good you're back." He says.

"Are the avatars safe?" I hear Grace ask as Jake looks at me when I get up and walk to him.

"Yeah doc." He says.

"And you're not gonna believe where we are." I say.
