"Ugh come on! Shut yourself or I'm gonna be late again!", said Gabriella Peréz as she tried to shut her locker. "Who's winning?", asked Eliza Crown while approaching her best friend together with the boys. "Definitely the locker!", joked Charlie. "Haha so funny. I can't be late again at work! Jake's coming back today.", explained the young girl. "Why don't we help you?", suggested Troy. Gabriella glared at him. "Why didn't you do that earlier?", she asked angry. "We wanted you to be independent you know. Since girls are strong.", defended Charlie himself and Troy. "Ugh fine, you can do that.", she said and let the boys close her locker.

"How are you doing Liza?", asked Gabriella her best friend. "My parents are fighting like always.", she said and pulled out three gummy bears and ate them. She offered some to Gabby. "Thanks!", said the girl and took some out. "I'm sorry to hear that Liza."

"Don't be Gabs but you better get going. Unless you want to be five minutes late again.", laughed Eliza. "Oh God! Troy pass me the bag!", shouted Gabriella at her friend. The boy found the bag and threw it to Gabriella. She gave him a thumbs up and began to run. "I see you closed the locker?", asked Eliza with a slight smirk. The two boys nodded and got some gummy bears from their friend. "She will be late isn't she.", asked Charlie. "Yes definitely!"

Gabriella was running through the busy streets of New York only to get to the Nine Nine precinct. "Hey Gabby!", shouted an older man. "Hey Greg!", greeted Gabriella the man back. "You running late again?" "It seems like it! Bye Greg!", said Gabriella and waved to Greg. Whenever she was running late, Gabriella Peréz always managed to make some friends on the way. She just had that something everyone needed in their lives. Some kind of a happiness.

She finally reached the Nine Nine and got into the elevator and pressed the button for the 4th floor. Gabriella checked herself on her phone, trying to get her hair done in a messy ponytail.

Amy Santiago and the others were working while waiting for Jake Peralta to show up. As they heard the elevator door opening Charles Boyle told the others to shush. But he got disappointed when Gabriella stepped out of the elevator. "Thanks for the warm welcoming!", she said and crossed her arms. "Hi Gabby!", said Amy and hugged Gabriella which she returned. "What did I miss this morning?", she asked. "Nothing much except Charles freaking over Jake coming back.", said Terry and ruffled Gabriella's hair making her laugh. "Typical Boyle.", she said. Amy and Rosa nodded. "He's here! He's here!", said Charles running back. "Okay let's do the prank where we don't even acknowledge him when he comes in. Okay? Shh! Shh!", said Charles excited and shushed them all again. "I'm in! But I'm not sure if he can do that.", said Gabriella and whispered the last part between Amy, Terry and Rosa who nodded in agreement.

"Back in the Nine Nine!", as Jake said that Charles began to go crazy. "Played to perfection Charles.", said Gina. "Yeah I almost couldn't recognize what your acting was.", said Gabriella and high fived Gina. "God I missed this place. Let me just soak it in.", said Jake and sniffed everything in. "Oh, yeah, stale coffee, fingerprints ink, whatever Charles is fermenting in his desk." "Beans.", said Charles. "Beans it's like I never left. Alright fill me in. Tell me everything I missed.", said Jake to his friends. "Won't take long. Only four things happened. Terry chipped his tooth and had a lisp for a week. Number two, Santiago and Boyle wore the same outfit to work one day. Gabriella was late too often. And Captain banned headphones from the office, due to Gina incident.", filled Rosa Jake in. "Great recap. Gabby how much were you late?", asked Jake as he turned to the youngest member of the team. "Five minutes!", she said and first bumped Jake.

"Welcome back, Peralta.", said Raymond Holt. "Captain.", said Jake and shook hands with him. "Everyone has a lot of work. So you have exactly two minutes to share personal anecdotes. And those two minutes began when you entered. You now have...12 seconds left.", said Holt while looking at his watch. "Challenge accepted. Undercover highlights. Fixed a boxing match, smoked a whole cigar without vomiting, was once in a room with ten guys named Sal and missed you all so very much. Everyone back to work!", said Jake and hugged everyone. As Gabriella hugged him she whispered in his ear. "You're still owning me 20 bucks cowboy!", she whispered and went to her desk besides Rosa's.

She got out her textbook and began to highlight some important stuff. "What's that?", asked Rosa. "You're not interested in my homework are you?", said Gabriella and continued to highlight. Rosa chuckled at her comment. She had a great relationship with the girl and she hoped it would last long.

Ever since Gabriella stepped foot 3 years ago into the precinct, she captured everyone's heart. She always tried to make everyone happy and comfortable no matter what. She often buys pizza for Hitchcock and Scully and yogurt for Terry. She asks Amy for help in math and often cooks with Charles. Jake often pulls pranks with her. Gina is her gossip and making fun of everyone buddy but Rosa is truly her best friend. Both are just a badass duo everybody wished for. Last year as she saw her godfather, Raymond Holt, she couldn't wait to ask him about her father. He in fact insisted on telling her everything he knew, over dinner with Kevin of course. Until she has to go home. To Troy and his family. Why? Well her father is dead and her mother is at rehab for drugs and alcohol. She didn't took Diego's death lightly. But Gabriella didn't complain, she actually often has sleepovers at Amy's and sometimes at Rosa's. Her life is just the way it should be: perfect and carefree.

"What's the assignment for?", asked Rosa again. "French." "French? I thought you took Spanish?", asked Rosa and looked at the girl. "My teacher thought French is more suitable for me. And I kinda agree.", said Gabriella honestly. "There's a confused old woman here who wants to talk to a detective.", said an officer making Rosa and Gabriella to look up from what they were doing. "Oh, come on! Another drill?", asked Gabriella and rolled her eyes. "Hello, my name is Adelaide. I'd like to report a crime.", said Sergeant Jeffords. "So we're just doing one of these everyday?", asked Rosa.

"Oh you got it. I know you got it. I want my money!", said Terry Jeffords while trying to act like an angry prostitute. Gabriella was just trying to hold in her laughter. "If I had money I would totally spend it on that!", said her best friend Eliza who was visiting her that day.

"Tick, tick, tick, tick.", said Terry as this time he was portraying a ticking bomb. "Just let the bomb go Sarge!", complained Gabriella and gave him an angry look.

"Why are we doing this?", asked Rosa. "They're such a waste of time! I could've done math by now!", said Gabriella serious before bursting into laughter with Rosa. "It's captain's orders. My name is Adelaide Van Hoyt. I'm 89 years old, and I'm here to report a crime.", continued Terry. Amy pulled him aside to Rosa's desk. "No problem. We can help you.", she said smiling. "Adelaide Van Hoyt. 89 years old.", said Rosa. "Goatee, 6'3". 290 pounds.", said Gabriella to Rosa. "Hey!", shouted Terry making her jump. "This is a tight 240. Show Adelaide some damn respect." "Sorry Adelaide.", apologized Gabriella.

"Captain.", said Amy. "We're done with the drill. The old lady confessed to a 40-year-old unsolved murder in Rhode Island. We filled out the interstate file request and remanded her to the custody of her daughter. " "Adelaide has successfully transformed back into a giant man, sir.", said Rosa. "Well done thank you.", said Holt and clicked his stop watch. "See? Instead of resisting, it's better to just put your head down, get the job done and then you can get on with your day.", said Amy and looked at Gabriella and Rosa. "Hi, my name is Timmy and I'm lost.", said Terry. "Son of a bitch!", yelled Amy. Gabriella only smirked. "Get the job done Amy!", said Gabriella and laughed evil.

"Captain! I have to be harsh, but I think that these drills are slightly unnecessary, possibly. Although you are the boss, and your judgment is impeccable. And I guess what I am trying to say is thank you.", said Amy. "I agree with the stuff about the drills, not the spineless ass-kissing", said Rosa. "Sir, I think it would help if we knew why we were doing these drills.", spoke Terry up. "Because I ordered you to and it's a good excercise for junior detective in training Valencia. Resume the drill, Timmy. And do not do or say anything that a seven-year-old boy wouldn't not do or say. Feel free to consult the script I've prepared.", explained Holt.

"Okay but, uh, it's a little stilted.", as Terry got out the paper, Gabriella snatched it from his big hands. "I'm feeling trepidation at the prospect of a pointless existing.", she read out loud. "No kid talks like that uncle Ray." "Those lines were lifted verbatim from my boyhood diary. Resume the drill!", he said. Gabriella rolled her eyes and crumbled the paper throwing it into the trashcan like it was a basketball. "Yes!", she whispered to herself.

Amy and Gabriella were playing Lego with Terry as Tommy just to do the drill. Rosa was watching them from the couch. "I miss my mommy. This is boring.", said Terry and threw a Lego on the floor. "Captain's not here, Sarge. You can drop the act.", said Rosa. "You can drop your butt.", said Terry and drank his apple juice. "You can drop your butt!", said Rosa back. "Stop! You're acting like kindergarten children!", shouted Gabriella. "It's okay,  I got this.", said Amy to her. "How about we finish building this tower? The structure's done but we've barely started on the landscaping." "I wanna build a spaceship.", said Terry and threw the building on the table making it break apart leaving Gabriella and Amy in shock. "We worked so hard on that. There were stables.", whispered Amy still in shock. Gabriella turned to Terry looking straight into his eyes. "You might not see your mommy again Timmy!", she growled out making Rosa smile slightly and Amy giggle.

"These toys suck.", said Terry and brushed everything down. Rosa stood up and went to the table. "Okay. Then I'll get you some better toys...Timmy.", she said and walked away. "Should I be concerned?", he asked. "I think yes. But let's see what she'll get you Timmy.", said Gabriella sarcastic and tapped Terry's head as if he was a real kid. "Come on Ames, let's see what Rosa got little Timmy to play with." "I'm slightly scared but yet impressed by your acting.", said Amy cool. "Oh why thank you! I got a lot of practice.", she said and laughed together with Amy. "No seriously let's go Sarge."

Holt was sitting in his office as he heard some thudding noises. He decided to go and see what was going on. He went outside to the roof and couldn't believe what he saw. A bouncy castle!

"Jump, Timmy, Jump.", yelled Gabriella. "Now you're having fun.", said Rosa. "Sergeant!", yelled Holt. "Captain, we were, just, uh---" "Timmy was cranky. We're just letting him tire himself out.", explained Rosa. "Okay, everybody out!", shouted Holt and powered the machine down. Gabriella was small so she didn't had much of a problem to save herself. "Okay, this is kinda difficult because of the deflating.", said Terry while trying to get out. "Out. Now!" "Turn on the pump! I'm very claustrophobic!", yelled Amy. "Finally!", said Gabriella. "How come you get out this fast?", asked Terry confused. "I'm small and skinny. And young.", she said while walking inside. "Terry's young too!", he said offended. "Keep telling it to yourself Sarge!", yelled Gabriella back and put on her shoes.

Amy and Gabriella were getting some snacks out as they saw Gina's sweater. "Oh my God what is on your sweater?", asked Amy. "As everyone knows, my spirit animal is the nature's greatest predator, the wolf. But I committed a horrible sexual blunder and I'm no longer wolf-worthy. My spirit animal is now this: the naked mole rat, God's disgusting mistake.", explained Gina. "Yeah, it's pretty ugly.", said Gabriella. "Hey! Only I get to talk about my spirit animal that way. You don't get to say that. Come on Gabriella.", said Gina and walked away. "What's your spirit animal?", asked Amy. "I'm glad you asked. It's a Sloth.", answered Gabriella simply. Amy just rose her eyebrow. "What? They're adorable and lazy just like me!", she stated. "You ready for tonight's party?", asked Amy. "Yeah since my friends are coming, I'm fine."

"Surprise!", the squad yelled as Jake and Charles came inside Shaw's. "What? No way! I'm floored by this. Charles, you tricked me.", said Jake faking his surprise face. "Boyle told you, didn't he?", asked Troy from besides Gabriella. "Without any prompting", said Jake making Charles chuckle. "Welcome to your party.", said Captain Holt. Everyone cheered and drank except the kids of course. "Does anyone have a few words they'd like to say?", asked Holt. Gabriella stretched her hand but got cut off by Jake's words.

"Bup-bup. No one say anything. I want him to say stuff.", said Jake and pointed to Holt. "Speech for Jake. Speech for Jake. Go." "Very well. Your six months absence was noted.", said Holt. "Yes" "Drinks are on me. There's a two-drink maximum per person.", finished Holt his speech. "Ah, here he goes.", said Jake. "It is non-transfarable. Your guests will pay their own tab. Valet parking is not included. Tomorrow's briefing will be 15 minutes earlier than usual, which I hope Gabriella can make it.", said Holt and looked at his niece. "Tomorrow is a school day off since someone decided to let mices free from the bio classroom.", stated the young girl. Holt nodded. "And...I'm very proud of you Peralta. We missed you.", finished Holt. "Aww you ruined it.", said Jake smiling. "To Jake.", said Holt and everyone else cheered.

"Now Gabby you can say your news.", said Jake leaving the spotlight to the girl. "We got an A+ on our history assignment!", she cheered. "To the Misfits!", cheered Eliza. "Raise your glass to the Misfits everyone!", said Troy and got Gabriella up on his shoulders. "Yeah!", cheered the squad. "Okay but now we really have to go guys. Have fun!", said Gabriella and said her goodbyes. "Hey dum dum!", called Rosa out. "Careful on his shoulders. He might let you fall right into his arms.", she joked. "Oh God Rosa!", said Eliza and laughed together with Charlie. "Gross!"

Troy unlocked the door to his family's apartment leading Gabriella inside. "Evening strangers.", said his mom from the living room. "Evening Sam!", greeted Gabriella Troy's mom Sam. "How was your day?" "Great except the fact that someone decided to let out some mices inside our school just so we get free tomorrow", said Troy while taking off his shoes. "And I have to go to work tomorrow!", said Gabriella and went to sit besides Troy's little sister Annabelle. "Gabby!", cheered the small 4 year old. "Hey there Belle.", said Gabriella and picked up the small girl letting her sit on her lap. Troy took place besides his friend letting her to lay down her head on his shoulder. Samantha watched the scene with her cup of tea. How could these two just not fall in love with each other?
