I almost felt bad about what I said to Alan the day before, so I went looking for him, knowing that my parents would never notice if I got home late. I saw him with a guy (a junior, like me, I'd guess) and I heard him call him 'Spence'. The boys parted ways at the gym, which led me to believe that this other boy, Spencer, was in wrestling, since no one else used the gym after school unless it was raining, which it wasn't. I watched as Alan went off to the band room. There was a barricade of boys in their ridiculous wrestling uniforms trailing out of the gym, blocking me from going anywhere. So, I sat back and decided I would catch up with him in two hours when band was over. Little did I know, that would be pretty hard.
