Morty and The Fake Dates (Mortyshipping)
Sorry for the lack of updates... my inspiration for serious things got lost for a while, but I found it again. This next part was requested by 1crazyslider and it's of Mortyshipping. If you want to see who Mortyhipping includes, check this chapter's photo because I'm too lazy to post a list.

Morty had always known online dating would not be the way to end his lonely nights, but he'd refused to believe it at first. Morty had been desperate back when he first created his profile on LoveBall.com.
His eyes narrowed, his hand poised over the mouse as he guided the cursor to the 'Delete Profile' button. Was he ready to do this?
Morty thought back to the many failed dates before. He remembered them all, even though there we so many.
First, he'd gone out to dinner with Sabrina from Kanto, thought about a second date until he realized she just wanted to know how to beat the ghost types that pulverized her gym.
Then Lyra had contacted him under a fake name--- he'd been forced to run when he realized that the hot 20-year old trainer really was the pesky 14-year old that liked to bother him at his gym.
Next had been Pike Queen Lucy from Hoenn. He'd never even had the chance to order food before she got a text and said she had to go because 'something had come up'.
Falkner hadn't actually been an online date--- he had asked Morty in person. It made the ghost type specialist feel terrible when he'd rejected the other gym leader, but he hadn't felt any sparks and knew that if he were to continue, he'd break Falkner's heart.
It had really surprised him when he and Eusine had met up through the online dating website's auto match function. They just stared at each other for a few moments before Eusine said, "I didn't know it was you, sorry." The date had turned into a lunch between friends.
Volkner had come after that. Morty had actually really liked the gym-leader, until the man had tied him up and tried to take him back to Sinnoh by force. He'd been rescued by a computer programmer named Bebe, who had spent the night mooning over him. Mildly terrified, Morty fled Sinnoh the next morning, promising he'd never return.
Whitney had asked him out the next morning, along with a girl from Unova. He hadn't wanted to reject them both, so he scheduled two dates with them both in quick succession. Ho-oh's feathers, when had he gotten so desirable?
It had been awkward with Whitney--- they had just sat outside a cafe in Goldenrod sitting, staring. Eventually she'd just left, after it became clear he wasn't going to say anything.
With Shauntal it had been more bearable--- they had talked about ghost types and how Johto and Unova differed. "You're a nice friend," Morty had said, before realizing his mistake.
Shauntal had smiled thinly, disappointed. "Thanks."
After that he had turned to LoveBall again, and it had been a disaster. He'd gone out with a creepy, possibly dead, eleven years old named Acerola. She was funny, but still, she was a kid. What was she doing on a dating website? Where were her parents?
The next date had been no better--- somehow it had suggested Bugsy of all people to be his date. Again, Morty felt as though he was going to be arrested for cradle-robbing. Bugsy had frowned, scanning him over. "Morty. Just to be clear, I don't want to date you." He'd breathed a sigh of relief, until Bugsy said, "yet."
Despite his misgivings about the legality of LoveBall, Morty stuck with it for three more dates.
Next was with a man named Steven Stone, who, while attractive, was incredibly annoying. Morty sat there, idly stirring his food with a fork, while the ex-Champion prattled on about rocks. When Morty had gone home, he'd been so glad to have only his Pokémon to talk to.
Clair had come up to him the next day, and actually winked at him. "Come to Dragon's Den with me?" she'd asked.
"It's a date," Morty had replied.
It had been fun, running around in Dragon's Den, until a Dragonite had come out and attacked him. The hospital bills were expensive, and he decided any future dates with Clair would probably end with him at Nurse Joy's mercy, and therefore, were not worth the trouble.
LoveBall had given him a new match as soon as he got out of the hospital, with Will. He'd met the man before, and found him mildly unsettling. What had put Will in the mass-grave of failed dates was his refusal to take off his mask when they went to a formal restaurant.
He was beginning to think the thing useless. His doubts were solidified when it suggested Kris as his next date. He'd refused to even show up, but Kris had found him and dragged him out the door.
Ethan asked him out the next day. Morty was at his wits end. "Why is everyone I know romantically interested in me?" he practically screamed, all that pent up anger inside exposing outward in a single beam of rage.
Ethan blinked twice. "I just wanted you to give me a chance."
It was then that Morty noticed the large gathering of people behind Ethan. He recognized them--- they were all the people he'd gone on dates with since he got LoveBall. They were all staring at him like he was a juicy berry. He knew their purpose--- to ask him for a second date.
Morty let out a shriek of rage. Gengar startled, not used to seeing it's master in such a temper. "GET OUT!" he shouted. "LEAVE MY GYM!"
The crowd of people dispersed. Morty had marched to his private office. He had sat angrily down at the computer and loaded up LoveBall.com.
Morty opened his eyes, done remembering the traumatic events of the past few months. He was ready.
He hit 'Delete'.

AN: thank you so much for reading! The Volkner thing was inspired by this art 1crazyslider found. I'm not exactly sure if Morty's gym has a private office, ah well, artistic liberties I guess. Anyway, I think this may have been one of the longer things I've written in this book... huh. Smell ya later!
