Jade's POV

"Ok Jade how long have you been on my campus? Five minutes?!" Principle whatever he's called yells at me. He's an acting principle here at Gotham Academy. Yes this is the big initiation test, if I pass I will become Joker when I turn 18.      

A figure then stands outside the door and the principle takes a sip of his coffee. "Grayson come in" the principle says and a boy my age with amazing blue eyes and jet black hair walks in and sits down in the seat beside me. My heart beat speeds up a tiny bit and the room feels warmer. What the hell is wrong with me? He's just a really cute guy, just ignore him. Ignore him. Yeah he is why I'm going to fail at every test ever.

"Jade Isley meet Richard Grayson, he's our best student at Gotham Academy" the principle says and Richard looked at me for a second with slight shock in his eyes that is immediately masked with a blank facial expression I normally use. It takes years to perfect it.

"Richard this is Jade our new student and she is...new to the school system and rules so you will be showing her around and you'll be playing her guide for the next month until she settles in." The principle says and I sigh bored of this school idea already and I block out whatever else the principle is saying.

Last night after going 'home' joker announced his next mission for me.

(Flashback)

"So what did you wanna talk about?" I ask looking at the joker who is smiling more than usual which is creepy.

"Well I was thinking and I know what you could do to kill batsy, kill the next generation!" Joker laughs

"Kill Robin?" I ask, he's gone even more insane...

"Yes kill boy blunder because if batsy looses him batsy will be heartbroken and when he's grieving I will kill him then take Gotham and watch it burn!" Joker yells then cackles as I think it through. He's nuts! I'm going to end up in Arkham!

"What will happen if I'm caught? You'll get caught too and who'll bust us out? Harley?-"

"Whoa whoa whoa calm down jester, stop being so serious I have it all planned out and it'll work 100% guarantee and if you're not happy you can have your money back!" Joker bursts out into a fit of giggles and I sigh

"Fine I'm in, what do I do?" I ask really not wanting to one get caught and two, kill anyone let alone Robin who is a superhero. If I kill him I'll have the whole justice league and that not so secret young justice league team on me too!

"Ok so you need to go to the same school and-"

(End of flashback)

"Hey are you even listening?!" The principle asks annoyed and I look at Richard then at him

"Not really." I reply to the principle and he turns red and explodes. With rage, he doesn't actually explode, that would be amusing to watch though, maybe it'll make things more interesting? I don't know, probably...

"Just get out of my office and get to your next class!" The principle yells and me and I laugh as Richard and I walk out his office and into the corridor. He glances at me and I look at the side of his face, now to think of it he looks very familiar...

"Are you ok?" Richard asks once we are down the corridor more snapping me out my thoughts.

"Yeah why?" I ask confused as to why he asked that. He doesn't know I'm Jester does her? If so that suck since people would know what my face looks like

"I seen you were in a fight this morning with the school bully Brad" Richard says. Ok what is he getting on at? Nothing probably, I'm just paranoid since this is my first mission where my face is unmasked, I just need to keep my cool and it'll be ok.

"I handled it" I reply with no emotion in my voice. And I know I was told to act like everyone else but the only reason I'm here is to take joker's crown, it's what I was born for, to rule Gotham's dark side.

"Yeah I know, is that why you were in principle Gale's office?" He asks and I look at him with a small smile, this guy is trouble, he's on to me and needs to have boundaries. Bye cute guy...

"Ok I know you're meant to be my guide and all but keep at least one meter away from me and don't talk to me unless it's urgent" I say as nice as possible and he looks down and nods even though he doesn't seem sad, just curious.

We walk to class without a problem since I may or may not have hacked into the school system and stole the blueprints of the whole school grounds and I drew out a map. I sit down in the only empty seat left, next to Richard and he glances over at me looking at the map I drew out.

"Where did you get the map?" He asks and I try to ignore him, "well? They don't hand them out" I look up at Grayson annoyed and sigh to relieve my anger

"Ok Richard I'm not sure what part of don't talk to me didn't go through that head of yours but unless you want to end up like Brad zip it" I threaten and he smiles while I look back down at my map writing each door number on the classrooms and each hangout I seen the stereotype Cheer,jock,nerd,etc. groups at. Believe it or not, as cliché this sounds it will help me, I need to stay away from certain people that are popular because I don't want attention and I don't want to hang out with nerds because they will figure out my secret so I'll just stay solo.

"Was that a threat Jade?" He asks and before I can tell him to shut up the teacher walks in and I put away my map and take out my no lined notepad and pencil. I'm definitely going to enjoy my day of doodling and drawing out random things that come to mind.
