Chapter 3
~Hi people! I just thought I'd say hello! ;) Seriously though, are you liking it so far? I promise it gets better with more smart aleck remarks.
*Jade's POV*
I opened the door to Matt's house and walked in. The party was in full swing. Now, I'm not exactly claustrophobic, but there was just too many people! What was this place, a zoo? I began to wade through the crowd to look for Sapphire and Matt. After asking for directions and getting squished to the point of losing a couple pounds, I finally got outside to where Sapphire and Matt were waiting for me.
"So, you decided to show up. I thought you'd chicken out. No one can beat me!" Matt challenged.
"Well, I'm about to be the first," I countered. A few other kids crowded around to watch us. A tall boy named Alex came forward.
"Name your terms," he commanded.
"If I win, which I will, Sapphire become my girlfriend and you leave us alone, loser. If you win, I'll leave you alone," Matt bargained.
"You have to stop being such a douche bag as well," I countered.
"I will judge this fight," Alex said. "I will judge who the winner is and when to stop this fight. Let the battle begin!"
The fight was starting. Now, Emerald! Emerald's strength engulfed me. No one else could see it, but power was crawling in my veins. Something felt different, and no one else knew. Matt charged in my direction. Jade! I caught Emerald's warning and dodged under his arm. As he flew past me with unused momentum, I punched him in the back, sending him sprawling on the ground. He's an offencer.
What does that mean?!
It means that he doesn't defend; only attacks. Use that to your advantage.
I didn't have time to reply since Matt was trying to kick me. As his leg reared up to kick me in the balls, I jumped back and kicked him in return. Kicking is a move that is dangerous because it can be affective but leaves you unguarded. More people began to leave the house to watch. Move after move, Matt would attack, I would dodge, and I would return an attack. After some time, using Emerald's strength, I had pinned him down. He had many bruises and was bleeding in certain places. Almost everyone at the party was crowding around us.
"Jade wins," Alex said, clearly surprised. I didn't mind though. I released Emerald from my body to let him restore some of his strength. My energy left me, making me feel weak and extremely tired. Sapphire walked over to me and smiled. I had won the battle. Then, it started to rain and we had to go inside. (LOL epic moment ruined XD)
*Sapphire's POV*
The fight was starting. I had never been so nervous in my life. I could tell even Topaz was nervous; she wasn't making smart- alecky remarks for once. Alex announced that the fight was starting. I clenched my fists, ready to send Topaz into I tried to give Jade a blow; he dodged nimbly and returned an attack.
Something's not right.
Have you gone crazy? Then again, I'm not surprised.
Ha ha. Love the crude humor. Thank god, someone doesn't take everything seriously.
Still, I don't see what you're talking about. He's dodging every blow.
Look at his eyes.
They're green.
Aaaannnnnnddddd?
They're cute?
Let's walk this through step by step. What color are his eyes normally?
Blue.
Very good! You get a biscuit. What color are his eyes now?
Green.
Good job! Now what does that mean?
Why are you asking me about his eye colors? I don't give a fucking shit!
OH MY FUCKING GOD! YOU ARE AN IDIOT! HIS EYES WERE BLUE AND NOW THEY'RE GREEN! DO YOU NOT SEE WHAT I'M GOING FOR?! HOW THE HELL DID YOU MAKE THE HONOR ROLL?! YOU ARE SUCH A FUCKING IDIOT! YOU- wait. Are you doing this just to annoy me?
XD Yes. About time you figured it out.
Seriously though, do you see what I'm going at?
Kind of. I see your concern but he can't be one of them.
He is. It's the only thing that would make sense. He is the last soulwalker.
I was stunned. This was not what I was expecting. I watched as Jade pinned down Matt and the fight was over. I went over to congratulate him with a smile a mile wide. Until I got soaked from the rain and we all went back inside. So much for the s'mores we were going to have. Jade and I stayed a little while at the party until the rain cleared up. It was actually fun! Well, aside from the fact that I kept thinking one thing the entire time. Jade can't be the last soulwalker. He can't be. Right? He can't be......Could he?
