Jayden's Feelings For Jade.

It has been almost a month since Jade saw her biological mother and brother. It has been a rollercoaster for her but she knew that Warda needed her during her cancer treatment which has started to become aggressive because she wasn't getting any better.

Warda decided to call Jayden so that she could talk to him about her daughter's future.

She knew that she might have little to no time to even see her daughter get married. But she also came to terms with it because Allah knows best for her.

Warda was now in the restaurant where Jade worked. Fortunately, she knew that Jade took a day off to help her sister Maya.

"Asalam Aleikum, how are you?", Jayden asks her as he took a seat.
"Waleikum Salaam. Am good alhamdulillah. And what about you, my son?", she says to him.
"I am fine, alhamdullilah. Just taking it day by day...."

"Yes, I know what you mean. I am here so I can talk to you about Jade. I just came from my doctor's appointment and unfortunately, cancer has spread through my lungs and it is getting aggressive. I want you to take care of my daughter. I can see the love you feel for her in your eyes. I know that what I did is unforgivable but Jade had people who taught her that forgiveness is for her and not for me. There's one more thing that I would like to give you and that is, a letter from her father to the man who would be Jade's husband", she tells him.

Warda took her bag and removed a thick envelope. It consisted of many things that her husband wanted to say and do for Jade but he wasn't able to.

"Read it by yourself or with her. Your choice. When are you two planning to get married?", she asks hoping that it might be soon because she wanted to see Jade married and happy with Jayden.

"That's up to her. She is the one to decide the date and I will wait for her as long as she wants me to wait....."

"That's how much you love her, right?", Warda asks him.

"Yes, I love her but I don't want her to feel pressured into something that she would rather wait for. I love her, and the truth is we aren't engaged yet", he confessed to her adding the word 'yet ' in silence.

They didn't know that Jade was there and she heard everything that Jayden confessed to her mother.

Does he love me? I need to talk to him after she leaves.

"I know that, a mother knows. And I know that what's best for Jade is you. She needs someone like you in her life. Even though she is stubborn just like her dad was," she says surprising him. "I need to go now because Maher would be home from school and I need to be there. Plus I would love to see you and Jade again. In shaa Allah", she added getting up from the chair.

"In shaa Allah, I will try and convince her to come and see you. I will give you a lift....."

"No need. The taxi is already here. I asked the driver to wait for me. I have known him for a long time. Thank you again, my son", she says to Jayden making him smile.

"You are welcome".

Jayden had no idea that Jade was waiting for him in his office. She was more than confused by what Jayden told her mother.
As soon as he walked in, Jayden was surprised to see Jade in his office pacing.

"What was my mother doing here?", she asks him.

Thankfully, Jayden had hidden the letter that Warda had given him.
"She came to say hey and to ask about you....."

"Jayden, stop. I heard everything you told her that you love me. And want to marry me. Why lie to her?".

Jayden moved closer to her and took a deep breath.

"I didn't lie to her when I told her that I love you, Jade. That's the entire truth. And I want you to be my wife in shaa Allah. But I am pressuring you into any type of relationship. Even if you want us to be just friends, I will accept that. Just for you", he says to her.

"I....."

"I am not a guy who will force you to do anything. Take your time and I will wait for you as long as it takes and as long as you need. I love you, Jade. I have been trying to hide my feelings for you but I guess I am not good at it. But if you don't want anything to do with me, it's okay", Jayden tells her.

This surprised Jade more than she had ever imagined. She did have feelings for her but she promised herself that she would never act on them.

Jade didn't want her heart to be broken by him because she knew that some things might not last.

Or maybe they will.

Jade shook her head and looked at Jayden only to find him smiling at her.

"I know that you might think that I am lying but I will prove it for you if you let me. I will do anything and everything you want me to do. Just say it and I will do it", Jayden tells her.

"I don't want you to do anything. I just don't want to...."

"To be heartbroken and to feel alone as you did when you were younger. I know that but all I ask it's one chance to prove what I am saying is true. I love you, Jade," he says cutting her off.

Give him a chance. Just one chance and if he doesn't fulfill it then you will get your answer.

Jade remembered what her dad told her that he would support her in any decision that she would decide for herself.

"Okay, you have one chance and only one chance. But this stays between us and no one should know apart from my parents. And not my sister or even Rocco", she says making him smile.

Jayden hugged Jade surprising her.

"I will make sure that you will not regret this. Thank you so much. Yes, we won't tell them anything yet", he says while Jade is still in his arms.

He didn't want to let her go but he had to because he needed to get back to work and Jade needed to get back to her sister.

"Okay, I have to go now because I came here to tell you that they have decided not to have an engagement party as it would be a waste of time and money...."

"But we could throw them a small party just family. A surprise one. If you plan it with me", Jayden tells her.

"That's a great idea. But I need to go back to them. As they would be coming or even calling to ask where I am".

"Okay, and thank you for giving me a chance. I love you, " he tells her kissing her forehead and making her smile.

As the days go by, Jayden and Jade grew closer and closer to each other.

Jayden loved spending every moment with her and needed the plan to get her to go on a date with him even if they would go with her parents.

He had a plan in his mind about where to take her and maybe just maybe ask her to marry him.

Jayden had started reading the letters that Jade's biological father wrote for him. He began to understand what Rehan did as he thought it would be the best for Jade and he was right.

Jade got the best family that anyone could ask for and now hopefully, she will accept Jayden's proposal and make Warda's dream come true before anything happens to her.

Sometimes we need to protect our hearts even if it's from someone who loves us. Because sometimes love isn't enough to hold on to the person.
