The Day That He Started Reading Them. (Before Their Weddings)

When he first opened the envelope, Jayden found the first letter written number one. He immediately knew that he needed to start with this one first.

Jayden was grateful to Warda for accepting him as her daughter's love. Because most mothers wouldn't have done what she and Layla did to both Rocco and him.

Thankfully it was his lunch break and he told Rocco to ask Maya to take Jade with them.

Rocco didn't need to ask him why because they knew each other in and out.

The letter was addressed to Jade's future husband which meant him.

Dear Son-in-law,

I know that you might not know me because of this illness. I pray that you will always take care of my precious daughter Jade.

Every day I regret abandoning her and I wish I could turn back the time and go back to get her but at that time we weren't able to be with her as we always wanted.

Warda and I got married without our families.

I know you would have asked Why? Because of our background differences.

She was middle class and I was high class. But love is love, right?

You can't help who you fall in love with. My heart wanted her and only her.

My daughter was a blessing but at that time we were struggling to make ends meet, but in a way, I am glad that she found a family that loved her and cherished her.

My cancer has spread through my bones and there's nothing that he can do except prescribe painkillers to ease the pain.

There are many things that I want to do. Like seeing her in her wedding dress and signing her marriage certificate as her wali. But unfortunately, that can't happen.

I am happy that she had found someone who will love and cherish her.

Take care of my son too. I know that he will be a teenager by now, but still look after him like he is your younger brother.

I never cared about the status of the woman that I loved and married. All I cared about was that I married her and she gave me the best years of my life.

Even though I didn't get to see Jade grow up, I know that she has found an amazing family that will always love and cares for her.

And as for Maher, he will need someone to guide him and always be there for him as his older brother.

I did go back but I couldn't find her anywhere. I fell crying to Allah to make sure that she was safe.
