author note: Hey y'all!!! Here is the first chapter! if y'all like this let me know!!! this chapter might be short because it was written in ten minutes and that's all. this book was in first person the whole time with only one narrator, the main character. enjoy!!!!

     I ran. I ran as fast as I could. there was a massive monster on my trail. And I mean, MASSIVE, like twenty feet tall massive. I tried to think but couldn't. My mind was racing way too fast. annabeth always says to be calm in these situations but how was I supposed to be calm?! I had a freaking monster after me!

     I saw a path to the right and took it. the monster followed. crap! I kept running. I needed to get away. I took out my sword. I wasn't going to lose this monster so I needed to fight.

     I stopped running and turned around. the monster faced me and paused. the monster then ran at me but I didn't run away. No, I ran towards it. I used my sword and slashed at it. the monster dodged and I tripped. Ah yes, I could see it now, "Jacob leen, teenage demigod dead at fifteen because he tripped over a stick." How pathetic.

     "Jacob Leen." the monster growled, "time to die."

     right, no time to get distracted now.

     The monster slashed with its big claws, but I kicked it in the chest and jumped up. I slashed at the monster again, this time the monster was cut. the monster exploded in yellow dust and I fell to the ground, unconscious...
