I swear my boss hates me. Rhonda do this.....Raina did you pick up my dry cleaning? Rachel where are those letters I had yesterday? I have been working here for a whole year and she still doesn't remember that my name is Rapunzel. She has probably called me every name in the book that starts with an R except my actual name.

Not only that she is always rushing me around without a thank you. I know that's my job as her assistant but I have never gotten this much excercise since this job. I have to run over and take a subway from Manhatten to Queens just to pick up her damn drycleaning. My first three weeks here I wore heels. Now I have a pair of sneakers under my desk to change into when she wants me to go somewhere. Plus if it's not exactly what she wants she takes it out on me. Most people would probably get fed up and leave ; in fact that's what the last three girls did. I even heard her last assistant cried because Gothel insulted her for not getting her coffee there on time so it was cold. But I need this job, to live in New York I need this job. Plus there is one other thing that's keeping me from leaving. The mail room guy. He just started working here four months ago and his name is Jack. He has brown hair and brown chocolate eyes. He always wears a white collared shirt with a loose tie.
He's pretty much the essence of a hotness. When I'm actually here he brings me Gothel's mail. He always greets me with

"How's the dragon lady doing today?"

I always reply

"My boss is fine. Thank you."

Jack always tells me I'm too nice for my own good. He probably wouldn't think that if he knew how many times I've imagined Gothel getting pushed out her office window. Relax that idea will stay in my head. I could never push someone out of a window,.

Today I was starting my usual morning getting Gothel her coffee. Jack and I were talking on the phone, me on my work phone, him on the mail room phone.

"Do you make me a copy of Mr. Fitzherbert's statement, knowing Gothel she'll lose it and blame me for it."

"Of course Punz I would be honored to help you please the dragon lady," He said

"Stop calling her that one day someone will hear you and tell her and you'll get fired and then who will I complain to?" I said.

"Well if I had your cell number then you could still complain to me or we could talk about things other than work." He said flirtatiously.

My eyes shot wide open and I stopped in my tracks , I didn't know how to reply and then some moron bumped into me and made me drop Gothel's coffee.

"Oh crap!" I said

"What is it?" he asked.

"I dropped Gothel's coffee because some idiot ran right into me." I said "God she's going to kill me."

"What time does Gothel usually get here ?" He asked.

"9:00 am which is in 15 minutes. There is no way I can get a new coffee in 15 minutes."

"Calm down just get back in line and get another coffee. I'll distract her." He said

"Really?! Thank you so much but wait how will you........"

"Just get in line I'll figure it out." Jack said and hung up

I raced back into the busy Starbucks and waited yet again to order my boss' coffee.

Jack's POV

"Aster I need you to do me a favor." I said calling Aster.

Aster Bunnymund has been one of the offices' personal limo drivers since North Co was first made. He drove the company's first CEO Nicholas North when Aster was 18 and Nicholas made sure that Aster could never be laid off at his job since North was so fond of him. Even when old North retired and passed on the company to his grandson Eugene Fitzherbert. He still gave half of his pension check to Aster. Which was a lot of money. So I knew if he helped he couldn't get fired not even Gothel could touch Aster.

"What is it mate I'm driving Dra- Miss Gothel to the building." Aster said

"Am I on speaker?" I asked.

"No." He said

"Okay I need you to drive around as much as you can and not get to the building on time."

"Why the hell would I do that!?! Do you want me to die?" He asked.

"Just do it okay Rapunzel dropped Gothel's coffee and is in line getting another one and I said I would help her so Gothel doesn't rip her pretty blonde head off." I said

"Ah the assistant girl I see now. Boy you owe me big one for this."

"Oh what's she going to do fire you?" I joked.

"Just be lucky my check is almost as much as what Gothel makes" He said and hung up.

Third person PoV

Aster began driving all around town after about ten minutes of this Gothel began to notice,

"Driver could you please do me the favor of telling me where the hell we're going." She said with annoyance.

"Sorry mam.....I thought they...they uh told you I got a call that there was a meeting for you to attend across town."

"That's preposterous they would informed me at once turn around and head back to the building."

"Okay mam but we'll have to take Main Street it may take a while with this traffic." He said.

"Well now you've made me late for work. I'll be seeing that this is deducted from your pay." She said

Aster wanted to laugh. He had enough money coming in just from North. So he took down to Main Street and waited in the long traffic jam. Jack owes him big for having to stay in this car with the dragon lady for 45 minutes.

Meanwhile...

Rapunzel had gotten Gothel's coffee and ran straight to the office. Jack was waiting for her outside.

"Is she here? Am I fired? Are you fired for trying to help me?" She asked.

"No no calm down Aster texted me they are almost out of traffic they should be here in 5-10 minutes." He said.

"Really?! Oh my goodness thank you thank you!" She said hugging him making sure not to spill the coffee.

"No problem. I know how much this job means to you even if your boss is a dragon lady." He said.

"I don't know how to thank you!"

"How about you let me take you out to dinner after work tonight?" He asked.

Before Rapunzel could answer Aster's limo pulled up. Gothel got out of the car shouting and being all upset.

She looked at Rapunzel. "What are you doing down here! You should be up there taking my calls!"

"Jamie is doing that while I was getting you another coffee since the first one......was getting cold and I know how much you hate cold coffee so here nice and hot." She said.

Gothel took the coffee and took a sip.

"Well Regina it looks like you did something right today." She said

"It's Rapunzel her name is Rapunzel." Jack said.

Gothel glared at him. "Who are you?"

"He happens to be Mr. North's favorite employee's nephew." Jack said.

"See ya at dinner Jack!" Aster called.

"Bye Uncle Aster." He said.

"Well fine but if I ever hear you talk that way to me again I'll make sure the most highest position job you ever have is a bathroom attendant."

Gothel walked into the building.

"That's okay I've been dealing with people's crap for years!" He said.

Rapunzel laughed. "Is Aster really your Uncle?"

"Ha no he's just a really good friend. I just said that to save my butt you're not the only one who needs a job." He said. "Plus if I lost this one what would I pay with to take you out to dinner?"

"I don't know I guess you would have to make me something," she said.

"That can be arranged dinner at my place after work?" He asked.

"That sounds wonderful."

Beep beep beep beep.

Rapunzel looked at her phone.

"You better get up there Dragon Lady might need her claws sharpened."

"Better than her teeth." She said.

"I can't believe I just said that."

"See I'm a bad influence on you already. I'll see you tonight." He said.

"Definitely......and Jack?"

"Yeah?"

She walked up to him and kissed him on the cheek.

"Thanks for everything." She said and went into the building anxious for the end of her work day.
