Most teens wake up at seven am for school. I get up at seven for private lessons. Most teens stress about what to wear for prom. I stress about what to wear for the Queen of England's garden party. Most teens hang out with friends while I have my body guards. That's the life of being the president's daughter. I had friends in middle school but they all lived back in my hometown and I had forgotten about most of them. Honestly they probably forgot all about me too or they say I was friend's with the president's daughter in middle school we had math together.

I actually really like my bodyguards. They'll play board games with me sometimes even help me paint or teach me how to play basketball. My favorite is agent Flynn Rider. He's the closest to my age him being thirty me being sixteen. He always use to tell me fantastic stories of adventure but now I am sixteen and I wish I knew more people that were actually more near my age then hearing about them.

"What's wrong Rapunzel?" Flynn asked.

"Nothing I'm just bored." I said looking down at my breakfast.

He took out his sunglasses from his jacket and began fiddling with them. Flynn was a little different then the rest of my guards. He didn't take life too seriously which was a reason why I liked him, but whenever we were outside the White House or my father was present he took his job very seriously.

"Well I happen to have good news." He said.

"What?" I asked him.

"Nope I'm not sure i should tell you now, I wouldn't want to bore you with all my security talk." He said lazily.

"Oh come on pleeeease tell me. Please!" I begged.

"Okay fine, I just got word that I'm going to be having a cadet on the job and it's my job to train him to be one of your personal guards." He said.

"So? Is that it? We're getting a new security guard." I asked not understand what the big deal was about. We got new guards all the time.

"If you would kindly let me finish. Anyway like I said he's a new cadet and his file shows that he is 18. So you'll finally have someone your own age that will be around." He said.

"Oh my gosh this is great news!!!" I cheered. "Finally someone my own age! Oh my gosh what are we going to talk about?" I said getting up from the table.

"Rapunzel."

"I don't know what teenage boys like to talk about?!! What if he thinks I'm weird?"

"Rapunzel."

"Oh my gosh what am I going to wear?!"

"Rapunzel!" Flynn said loudly.

"What?" I asked looking at him.

"This guy is not here to be your friend. He's here to protect you. It's his job." Flynn said.

"But you're my friend."

"I know that of course, but I know my job is to protect you. He may think of you as just a job for right now especially being a cadet he has something to prove. So I just want to warn you.....if things don't turn out the way you want them to." He said.

"Okay I won't get my hopes up too high." I said.

"Good, now I have to go get them so you know who is going to be looking after you." He said.

"No!!!!! Not her! Please let me come with you! Just anybody but..."

"Hello Miss Rapunzel." Agent Gothel came out into the dining hall.

Agent Gothel was the only female agent and the only agent I couldn't stand. She was rather condescending towards me and she wouldn't let me go outside when it was just her and me. I wasn't allowed to touch sharp objects like cooking knives and I couldn't play any basketball.

"Hi Agent Gothel." I said.

"Good morning Miss Rapunzel." She said. "Agent Rider I can take it from here. Please report to me when you get back."

"Yes mam." He said

"Have fun." He whispered to me.

"Now Miss Rapunzel you really should be wearing shoes. You could stub your toe or something could land on your foot." She said.

"It's fine Gothel I'll be careful."

"Yes but it is my job to make sure you are protected and careful so go and put on some shoes." She said.

"Ugh fine." I said.

An hour passed with me sitting and pretending to read a book while Gothel stood by my door.

Finally I heard a knock on my door,

"I'll get it Miss Rapunzel," she said.

Gothel opened the door where Flynn and a young man stood.

"Hello Agent Gothel....." Flynn began.

"Agent Rider thank you for reporting back but you do not have to relieve me from my duties we're doing fine here."

"Actually I am not here to relieve you he is." Flynn pointed to the young man.

"Agent Gothel meet Agent Frost. Our newest member of the secret service." Flynn said.

"He's a little young?" Gothel said.

"Yes but he excelled in the academy and the President thought it would be good for Rapunzel to have someone her age around." He said.

"Oh speaking of the President he wants us to with him to the meeting with India. It's going to be held in the East Wing."

"Are you sure he'll be alright it's his first day on the job." She said.

"I'll be fine mam. I take my job very seriously." Agent Frost said.

"Alright. We better be heading out. Remember Miss Rapunzel safe activities." She said.

"Yes Agent Gothel." I said.

They both left and Agent Frost came into the room.

"Hello I'm Rapunzel," I said.

"Hi I'm Agent Frost and I'll be your bodyguard." He said.

He looked a little older than 18. He had brown chestnut hair with warm brown goldish eyes. He wore the secret service uniformed suit.

"What's your first name?" I asked.

"That's confidential," he said standing by the door,

"Well I won't tell anyone. And I would prefer calling you by your name then an Agent." I replied "plus I told you mine."

"Alright Miss Rapunzel, my name is Jack." He said.

"It's nice to meet you Jack." I said. "What do you like to do?"

"I like to protect people and do my job well Miss Rapunzel."

"Stop calling me that."

"What?"

"Miss Rapunzel. Gothel is the only one who calls me that and I don't like formalities."

"It's part of my protocol. I call the President Mr. President and I call your mother the First Lady and you are known as Miss Rapunzel."

"Well I am changing your protocol. You now have to call me Rapunzel."

"Whatever you say Princess." He said.

"Excuse me?" She asked.

"You're demanding things and acting like you can change the rules so your Princess now I'm afraid." He said starting to loosen up a bit.

"Great a new nickname I'm stuck with as if Miss Rapunzel wasn't enough." She said.

"Well I'm sure it won't catch on I won't use it in front of your friends." He said.

I looked down for a minute.

"What? You have friends don't you? You being the president's daughter I would think you'd be miss popularity."

"I don't get to go out much....but Flynn's my friend," I said.

"Agent Rider? You're telling me that your only friend is Agent Rider."

"Yes what's wrong with that?"

"Nothing.....just don't you get lonely?"

"Well I always have the secret service with me but yeah I guess."

"I know how you feel I wasn't very popular in high school or the academy."

"Well we could be friends." I said.

"No we can't I have to protect you,"

"Friends protect one another." I stated.

"Exactly see If we have a relationship that's outside and inside of my job then you'll develop a fondness of me and if you for example are about to be attacked then I will step in to protect you but your feelings for me will put you endangered because you'll try to protect me. So that's why we can't be friends." He said

"Well me and Flynn are friends."

"Yes and Agent Rider has overstepped his boundaries and has put you and himself in an unsafe position."

"Okay......"

"It's nothing personal but it is just part of my job."

Authors note: all I can do tonight I'll finish part 2 hopefully by tomorrow if I still can get wifi from hotel. So hopefully tomorrow!!!
