What if he doesn’t like me? Rapunzel texted her best friend Merida from the airport lounge.

        Rapunzel was preparing to meet her boyfriend….for the first time. Jack lived in Portland, Oregon while Rapunzel resided in San Diego. They had met through YouTube. Rapunzel was a Youtuber that provided beauty and fashion tips and Jack and his friend Hiccup played video games. Merida had shown her the video of them playing minecraft and Rapunzel thought he was funny so she contacted him and he replied. They had been talking ever since, whether it was texting or skyping they always kept in touch. Now after a whole year she was going to Portland.

What do u mean not like u? U talk all the time. Merida replied.

I don’t know what if we only get along from a distance?

That’s freakin crazy ur overthinking this. I gtg tell me when u get there.

        Rapunzel shut her phone down. She picked up her bags and went into the airport bathroom. She saw herself in the mirror. She wasn’t sure if she should’ve worn a dress. She wanted to look nice, but she knew it was a lot colder in Portland than San Diego. So she went with a nice long sleeved purple top and black leggings

‘It’s going to be fine you’ve known him for a whole year now’ she thought to herself.

She took a deep breath and carried her bag to her gate.

“Jack would you slow down!” Hiccup complained in the front seat of his friend’s car.

Jack had barely slept the night before causing him to sleep in till 11:30 am. Rapunzel’s flight lands at 12:30 pm and the airport is half an hour away without traffic.

“I can’t believe I overslept!” Jack said exasperated “The most important day and I’m going to be late.”

“You will once we get pulled over now slow down we are off the freeway.” His friend replied.

Jack loosened his grip on the wheel and release a little pressure on the gas.

“What if she doesn’t like me?” He asked.

“You’re being ridiculous. You two have dated for almost a year. Usually that’s a good sign.” He replied.

“Yeah but I don’t know it’s different now. We’re physically meeting, what if I’m all awkward and she just breaks up with me right there. Or what if I looked better in my macbook’s camera than in real life?”

“Nah you look bad in both.” Hiccup joked.

“Ha Ha very funny.” Jack said.

“Calm down she’ll like you. Why would she travel this far if she didn’t?” He replied.

“Ladies and Gentlemen welcome to Portland.” The pilot said over the speaker.

        Rapunzel took a deep breath and stood up from her seat. Luckily she was in the front of the plane and didn’t have to wait as long as the others. She had sat next to a nice old man who was visiting his granddaughter. He was very sweet and even told her some places to visit  in Portland.

        Rapunzel was literally shaking when she got off the plane. She walked to the arrival terminal and waited for Jack. She didn’t have to wait long. She saw the strike color of white running down the hall with a familiar brunette young man running at his heels. He stopped when he saw her as he catched his breath. His breath was taken away half from the running and half from seeing her. He smiled and waved.

She smiled back and ran to him like in the movies. She stopped and stood right in front of him. “I was going to jump to you but I thought that would be corny.” She said.

“I like corny.” Jack replied.

She laughed and hugged him as he spun her around. He put her down and smiled.

“Was that corny enough for you?” He asked.

“Perfect.” She said.”You’re taller than I thought.”

        With that she stood on her tip toes and pressed her lips to his. They realized they were silly for worrying about this meeting. Nothing was awkward or misplaced. It was perfect, better than perfect. It was extraordinary for them to finally be together in the same building.

“I guess I’m driving.” Hiccup said.

Rapunzel and Jack broke apart and looked at Hiccup.

“It’s good to meet you too Hiccup.” Rapunzel laughed and gave him a hug. “Now let’s go i can’t wait to see Portland!”

“I told you she would like you no matter what.” Hiccup said to Jack.

“You were right and I was wrong.”

“What’s that? I don’t think I heard that. Say again?” Hiccup joked.

“Shut up.” Jack laughed and pushed his friend to the side.

It was a new beginning for all of them.

Authors note: Remember how I said there were going to be tons of updates well teh reason I haven’t posted was because I was saving them all up!
