Dissolve Me

You let out a long sigh as you plopped down on the couch in frustration. You ran your hands through your hair and let out a long exhale as your mind raced. You and Jack had been fighting all day, even over the littlest of things like him putting too much creamer in your coffee. You stood back up and made your way to the bathroom. You got one glance of the bathroom befote turning on your heels and marching to Jack's recording room.
"Jack! Open up!" Your fist banged on the door as you yelled. You didn't care if you were interrupting his recording; you two were fighting and this was important.
The door swung open and Jack's face looked intense like he had been thinking. He opened his mouth to speak, but you beat him to it.
"You left the fucking toilet seat up."
"Okay? I'm sorry I forgot this one time. Look, I've been thi-"
"You just 'forgot'?! Are you sure you didn't do it on purpose?"
"No, love. Please just listen to me."
You crossed your arms over your chest and sighed. "Fine."
"I've been thinking about our fight and I think we should just take a mini vacation to disconnect from our lives for a little bit and work it out. I've already booked us a little secluded cabin by the ocean. All you have to do is just agree and pack up."
You thought it over and even though you were still angry at Jack, you knew a vacation with him would be amazing and worth-while. "Of course I'll go. But if you leave the toilet seat up while we're there I swear I'll do something crazy," you both laughed as you went to pack.
----------
The drive to the cabin took about three hours, but once you arrived you soon found out it was worth it. The cabin was next to a river that fed into the ocean. Trees shrouded around the cabin, making it secluded. You stepped out and stretched as you took in the appearance of the beautiful place.
She makes the sound the sea makes to calm me down
You both walked inside and settled into the cabin. You threw your bags into a random bedroom, not caring if Jack slept there or not. You made your way to the living room and plopped down on the couch. You turned the T.V. on and flipped through the channels until you found something to watch. You laid down, and before you knew it, you had slipped into sleep.

(Jack's P.O.V.)
I didn't want to be angry at (Y/N). I just wanted to make-up and be happy again. But, for some reason, I couldn't calm down. We had been fighting all day, even over the little things. I decided to go record to be alone for a little bit. I started thinking and realized that we should take a vacation for little bit. I booked the cabin and here we are.
When we got there, she didnt say a word as she walked in and threw her stuff in a room. I was now faced with a tough decision. Do I sleep with her or sleep in another room? I thought it would be best to not anger her more and just take a separate room.
Broken sweethearts who sleep apart
After that I walked into the living area and noticed she was asleep. She's so cute when she sleeps. I placed a blanket over her and kissed her on the forehead before heading into the kitchen to make dinner.
----------
You woke up and noticed a blanket on you. "I don't remember this being here," you thought and subconsciously smiled as you realized Jack placed it there. The smell of food coming from the kitchen encouraged you to get up and go into the kitchen.
You saw Jack mixing something in a pot and smiled. He had his sleeves rolled up and his hair dangled in his face.
"Smells delicious," you said as you leaned on the counter.
Jack looked over his shoulder and smiled. "Yeah? I'm glad. I thought I'd screw it up."
"We'll just have to taste it and see." You both laughed. You found the cabinet with the plates and got two out. You grabbed silverware too befote heading to the dining area. You placed the plates and silverware neatly in front of both chairs and took a seat. Jack brought out the food and dished both of you a serving. He took his seat and you both began to eat. You were itching to talk about the fight, but you didn't want to bring it up and get into another argument. Finally, you mustered up the courage and spoke up.
"S-Seán?" You barely croaked out.
"Yes, dear?"
"I, uh, I'm sorry about fighting earlier. I overreacted and I feel terrible."
"I feel the same way. I hate when we fight. I'm sorry too."
"So are we all good?
"Of course."
You two finished dinner and cleaned up befote getting ready for bed. You changed into simple pajamas and slipped into your room. You climbed in bed and got comfortable as you tried to sleep. You tried keeping your eyes shut, but you still couldn't sleep all you could think about was Jack. You sighed and got out of bed. You walked over to the door in your bedroom and opened it to see Jack. You were both slightly startled and you noticed him blush.
"Uh, hey. I was just, um," Jack fumbled over his words as he nervously rubbed the back of his neck.
"Get in here," you said as you gently pulled him into the room. You shut the door as both of you chuckled. You two climbed into bed and got comfortable.
Both still pine for the other side's spine, spoon as sleep starts.
You were laying back to back with Jack, but you still were not at peace. You felt the bed shift and Jack's warm arm wrap around your waist. You smiled to yourself as your legs intertwined. You were at peace.
