It was 2 O'clock, my friends and I went to a Tuxedo shop called " Sunday's Best". We didn't walk to the shop although we did walk to the bus station and took the bus to the Uphill Country village side. The bus ride was only an hour and 30 minutes long. The store was in the western east also known as the countryside. When we arrived at the store a person named Benji greeted us. He was the manager of the shop. He said," If you need any help or assistance just ask my colleagues Nick, Tylar, or Mason and they will get right to it." I said, "Thank you" and went looking for a Tuxedo. My friends and I looked in the formal section. The store had several sections like Wedding, Formal, Party, Bachelor, Chruch, Special Occasion, etc. They have more sections although I just wanted to name a few. Anyways in the Formal section of the store, there were over tons of million tuxedoes to chose from. It was all categories in sizes, colors, and price range from what's on sale to what's not. My friends and I separate into different pairs of two or groups of three. In my pair, I had Myself, and Peter. Austin had a group with himself, Mike and Drake. In my brother Zachary's pairs there's himself and his friend Andrew. We all went to different areas of the Formal section in the shop.

My friend Austin texted me a photo of a brick-red tuxedo and he said, " How about this one." I text him back for you or me? with a confused emoji. He replied, " For me." I replied, "Go try it on and send me a pic of you." He replied with two thumbs up." My friend Peter asked me " How would you think a purple tuxedo look on me? I said, "Why don't you try both on and I'll give my opinion then." He said, " Fine and I'll send you a screenshot of both tuxedo." Both Austin and Peter went to the dressing room to try on their tuxedo options. I continued to look for a tuxedo that would match my girlfriend's dress or any color that's similar and fits (complements) each other. She described her dress to me and she texted " Blue-green color dress with a big skirt and shoulders both puffy poofy." She also sent me a picture of the dress. When she sent me the dress I knew that she would look beautiful, stunning, and gorgeous. I could just imagine her and me dancing under the ceiling lanterns during Prom night. Me and her wearing matching colors with her dress and my tuxedo perfect night. My brother snapped his fingers at me and kept on saying hello earth to Jackson we still need to find and buy our outfits. I said, " Oh sorry Zach I just got caught in the moment of daydreaming about me and her together with the perfect prom before I head off to college." Zach said, " I could see that" and laughed. I went back and looked for a greenish-blue or a blueish-green tuxedo.

It has been 30 several minutes and all of us picked out our tuxedoes for prom. My tuxedo was an Emerald green tuxedo with a matching vest and necktie. Peter got a purple and gold tuxedo with a black bow tie.

Austin got a brick-red tuxedo with a black necktie.

Drake got a golden tuxedo almost similar to Peter's Purple Tuxedo.

Mike got a dark blue sliver tuxedo with a blueish purple bow that has silver sparkles.

Zach and Andrew both got Orange Tuxedoes except in different styles. Zach got a plain orange Tuxedo with a white necktie.

Andrew got an orange and sliver Tuxedo with a matching bow tie.

After we all picked out our tuxedoes we headed right for the checkout. My tuxedo was 250 dollars plus 45 dollar tax. The owner Ben said, " Pick up your tuxedoes 5-3 days before your prom evening at this time 1:00-5:00 pm." When we were done checking out on our way out of the store we compared our prices to see who tuxedo was the most expensive out of all of us. Peter's tuxedo was the most expensive. His tuxedo was almost 1000 dollars probably because of the shining gold and matching bag. My brother Zach and my friend Austin paid the least amount of money for their tuxedo between 150-200 dollars including tax.

My friend Peter said, " Okay we are done with shopping for our prom tuxedo now what are we suppose to do now?" My friend Mike added, " We still got 3 hours left of sunlight and afternoon time." My friend Austin said, " Correction we have 2 hours of daylight and another 2 hours until we have to get back to the dorms." I said, " We could go to the Princeton Bowl & Game Center which is a new arcade and bowling alley across the crosswalk to the Country Courtyard soccer field. it will only take us 1-mile long hike uphill." Peter said, " Okay since you know I'm down for anything that has games and I'm a big sucker for arcade and video games. Hands down I'm in" Mike and Austin said, " Sure." Austin also added, " I could use some extra time to get into touch with my inner gamer lover self." I said, " Okay awesome what about you little bro and Andrew?" Zach said, " You do realize I'm just 18 months younger than you right and my birthday come before yours." I said, " Only two weeks, a month, and 10 24 hours days before mines." Peter said, " Are we going to the bowling alley, or what's the plan now?" Andrew said, " I'm down to play some games and bowl what about you Zach?" Zach said, " I'm down because I grew up playing games before I could even hold a controller." I said, " Okay let's start the walking to the soccer field and across the crosswalk to the bowling alley and gaming arcade."

After 15 minutes of walking uphill, we made it to the crosswalk. We all waited until the light was red for the cars and the walking sign for the clear. A minute later the sign changed to a person walking and it was all good to walk across the street. A few more blocks down we saw a building title " Princeton's Arcade Game Center and Bowling Alley. When we arrived there we saw that there's a Restaurant in between the arcade the bowling alley. We were so thirsty and hungry that we all order food. It was around 3ish approximately between 3:10 and 3:30. I ordered a pulled pork BQQ sandwich with fried onions rings. My friend Peter and Austin ordered the same thing as I did except with fries. Mike got a Steak plate with corn and gravy mashed potatoes. Drake ordered Sweet and Sour Ribs with white rice. My brother and his friend Andrew both ordered breakfast with eggs, chicken, and biscuits with southern sausage gravy. The only thing that was different between Zach and Andrew was the eggs because Zach likes over-easy eggs and Andrew likes Sunnyside up eggs. For drinks, I ordered Mountain Dew, Peter got Root Beer, Drake got Sprite, Mike got a Cherry Soda Pepsi diet, Austin and Zach got Coca Cola Zero, and Andrew got Orange Soda.

The food only took 10-13 minutes to have it severed to us. The side dishes came super fast before our actual food. For a side dish me, Peter, and Austin both got our choices of soup. I got Clam Chowder, Peter got Vegetable, and Austin got Corn Chowder. For a side dish, my friend Mike and Drake got Green Salad. My brother Zach and his friend Andrew both got two slices of toasted bread with jelly and butter on the side as their side dish. Zach got a whole grain toast and Andrew got a sweet bread toast. We ate our side dishes and 3 minutes later our main dish came shortly right after. We ate for about 17-20 minutes and went to play some games right after. While was were eating we talked about Prom and Perfect night. My friend Peter asked me, " Since Sophomore Year when you insisted the couple rule did you think now looking back two years later would or are you hoping to get announced as King?" I said, " I don't know because this would be the first year in many ancient histories that this school has a Queen and King for prom." The last time I remember or recall a time where there were a King and Queen or even a school dance here was a long time ago in the 1900s between the years 1920's though 1995." Austin said, " Did you get Meghan flowers?" I said, " I checked online the flower boutique shop is closed today although they are open on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 8 am - 4 pm. Tomorrow is Saturday so I'll go look." Drake said, " Do you even know her favorite flowers?" I said yes I know her flower type, favorite, dislike, likes, and what kind she's allergic to or give off an allergy effect on her." Drake said, " Wow that's great to know nice." Mike added, " How about a ride for Prom? Did you booked your spot for the ride that you are planning on taking your girl for prom?" I said, " a Limo what else would I rent for the perfect night." Andrew said, " a Princess Carriage, a party bus, a motorcycle, a BMW/ BM Max, a bug car, Vox wagon, etc." I added those are good ideas although this is Prom and how are you supposed to rent a BMW/BM Max or a Bug car I mean I get the Carriage and Party Bus but why though?" Mike said, " Okay did you book the Limo?" I said, " Yes I did that a few weeks after I asked her, and before we picked out tuxedoes wait I forgot I have to call them to make sure the reservation is still on for the limo." Zack said, " What are you waiting for go?" I said, " Okay I'm going."

I went outside and I dialed the number to King Limo Service ( By the way this is a real Limo Service Rental. No this portion of the book is not sponsored by the company.) and made sure my spot is still there and that nothing has changed. On the phone, a nice employee answered and said, " Hello this is Kings Limo how may I help or assist you with this fine evening service. If you want to schedule an appointment we will be glad to make time and availability for you to make your prom ride as enjoyable and conformable as we possibly can. If you have any further questions, please hold that thought as one of our other employees will answer your questions and give you feedback on what you should do in the meantime." (pausing music for two minutes). Another employee answers, " Thank you for waiting sorry again for the long wait." I said on the phone, " That's okay." The employee said on the phone, " Please state your name first and last name, age and why are you calling what's your reason?" I said, My name is Jackson Starling, I'm 17 years old, and I'm calling to see if my spot is still there for a Prom Limo Ride with me and my girlfriend." The employee said, " Hold on one second while I go and check." I said, " Take all the time you need I'll still be here." 2 whole minutes later and 45 seconds the employee said, " Yes I have you scheduled for April 16th a Thursday right am I correct at 4:37 in the evening right?" I said, " It's supposed to be 17th of April on a Friday at 4:25 pm." The employee said, " Oh I'm sorry I didn't know I thought you said, " April 16." I said, " That's okay I know you all are busy especially during Prom season so is the 17th slot available?" The employee said, " The slot is halfway full we still have a few more spots left for 3 through 4 or 6 & 7 o'clock." I said, " What about 17th at 3:55 in the afternoon does that fit and work with the scheduled? The employee said, " Yes that's not taken. You are welcome to take that spot if you want it." I said, " Yes I will take that time and date at 3:55 pm on Friday the 17th of April." The employee said, " Great we are looking forward to seeing you, and thank you for choosing King Prom for being your ride as your prom service choice. Have a lovely day. Goodbye." I said, " Thank you for your kind service, and bye to you too."

I went back inside and my friends were already playing games in the arcade sections of the bowling alley. I headed over there and brother was playing Chain basketball along with his friend Andrew. Their scores were 56 and 35 to the highest score of 109. I said to my brother, " Hey Zach you are super good I remember in elementary when you were in 5th grade all the up till your ending intermediate years you played some pretty good B-Ball on the Wolf Howlers." Zach said, " Yea I do remember that mom and dad would always come and support me even though we played the same team like every game and several different teams from different states." I said, " Yes although you won a lot of games you still lost almost half of the teammates and that became a low losing point for the team." Zach said, " Yep at least when we lost the scores game points mom and dad would always congratulate me and take us out to dinner with ice cream." I said, " At least your team for 2 whole years made it to the playoff and States champions ." Zach said, " 7th grade and 8th grade." I said, " Yep well I catch you later I'm going to see what my roommate Peter is up to." Zach said, " Okay I'm just going to play guitar hero with Drake and Mike." I said, " That game is only for two right?" Zach said, " More people can play there's like four guitars hook up to the game system." I said, " Okay bye have fun."

I headed over to Peter and checked to see what he's playing. He was playing a Zombie game where he has to kill the zombies while still trying to survive to hunt for food and seek shelters. Peter said, " Hey Jack what's up? Do you want to play with me because there's an extra gun and I can't defeat all of 50 zombies myself or else I get killed." I said, " I wanted to see what you were up to I just finished playing The Hoops Shooters Game with my little bro. Sure I help you kill those Zombies that seem like a lot." I grabbed the other gun that was hooked up to the machine and started to kill some Zombies. Peter asked, " Jack I been meaning to tell you about something and I don't think you would like it?" I said, " What is it, Peter? It can't be that bad or is it? " Peter said, " Okay remember when in 10th-grade when you and Meghan were sneaking out to go to your little cottage barn house thingy?" I said, " Yeah We both still have our keys to that miniature house. Okay what about it and you? " Peter said, " Well..." I said, " Okay it sounds pretty bad." Peter added, " It's really bad." I said, " Is it about what happened in 10th grade?" Peter said, " It's more like what went down. Okay, I'm just going to say it, SHANE!" I said, " Did he do something to you?" Peter said, " More like all three of us. Meghan's roommates Ashley and Rebecca including me." I said, " What did he do? I'll give him a piece of my mind after what he did my girlfriend he's not going down without a fight especially if he did something to all three of you. Peter just come out and say it." Peter said, " He blackmailed all three of us to tell on you and Meghan that both of you were sneaking out late at night and coming back early the next morning and you broke the No Couple and Dating Rule." I said, " You didn't tell on us because all three of you wouldn't do that. Right?" Peter said, " No although he did try to make all of our lives missable at the school including you and Meghan. I did not tell on you I mean we did not tell on you and Meghan we kept your secrets." I said, " Thank you for not ranting us out and keeping our secret even though it was hard." Peter said, " You're welcome."

Peter and I continued playing the Zombie game for a few minutes more then I went to the Bowling side of the place. I asked the person behind the shoe counter for a size 8 and a half shoe. The person gave me a size 9 since they ran out of 8 and 8 1/2 which I was fine about. I started to look for a lane that was open unfortunately all of the lanes were taken except the one at the very end so I took that lane. My friends, my brother and his friend came to lane 12 to bowl with me. My friends got a 9 or 10 size shoes while my brother and his friend got a size 8 We all bowled about 10 - 15 games in total. We all got to win like 3 games each which was reasonable enough.  After bowling, we went and grabbed some pizzas or burgers to munch on once we arrived at our dorms hangout spot.  We took a cab to our dorm rooms because it was raining and it was like 6 almost 7 o'clock 10 minutes before.

15 minutes later we are at our dorm hangout spot and we ate cheese pizza with pepperonis, olives, sausages, and mushrooms.  After we ate the pizza we headed upstairs to our dorm rooms on the second floor. I went to my dorm room and grabbed the things that I had to take with me to shower. The shower room was all the way across the hall on the first floor. I went back downstairs and went into the shower room to take a shower. We are only supposed to take 30-45 minutes shower unless you are lucky then you get an extra 20 minutes or an hour to shower although that only happens on special events and occasions at the school. Five people can only enter one at a time.  The first five go in and leave then the next five goes in the shower room if you are the first one in you are the first one out of the room.

35 minutes later I was out of there with my red Quicksilver t-shirt, my black Nike soccer sports shorts, and my white crocs. I would wear shoes although when I'm about to go shower I wear my crocs or slippers. I walked back upstairs to my room and my roommate Peter was finishing up our latest science project for our final grade. I sat on the spinning chair where the desk is and placed my laptop on the desk so that I can do my essay for my English homework. My English teacher gave the class two options for our essay we could be informative or persuasive with our essay about whichever topic for our last English Project. I chose Cultural Music although I'm still trying to decide whether I want to be informative or persuasive. My teacher told the class if we decide to do both he will give us extra points credit if your grade is below an average C. He also recommends doing both if you failed the last assignment and your midterm is a D or F. I would normally take his suggestions and advice however I'm doing well right now my grade is a solid B+. So anyways I opened up my laptop and began getting the essay done. The essay took me one whole two hours to complete it. It was 9 o'clock and I still had to get my math homework done so I stayed up for another 20 minutes or so to get that done. All I had to do for math was study for the Algebra 2 and trigonometry test that will be my Final for Math which was pages of reviewing 55 classwork and 61 homework assignments that the teacher gave back to us. After studying my math, I did my social studies homework which was British History. I had to make a Timeline of Great Britain then verse now and write a 2 page documents each stating a summary of the history at the beginning of that year. My friend Austin also had the same social studies homework as me except he had to pick a time of history in Great Britain and make a miniature play, skit, or movie to show cause and effects about what when down and why did it happen using students from the drama department to get them to act in it. That was mines and Austin finals for social studies we were partners doing this assignment project. After I was done with finishing all of my homework it was 11:35 at night almost midnight and I went to bed.

9 hours passed by it was 7:40 am almost  8 o'clock. I got up trying not to wake my roommate, Peter, up because he was still sleeping although he's a heavy sleeper. I quickly changed my clothes into a blue polo t-shirt with denim jeans along with a grey rain jacket that has a red Puma on the back. I walked downstairs and went to the shower room to brush my teeth. I also washed my face and parted my hair so that I could slick my hair to the middle front left using my hair gel. That all together took about a solid 23 minutes. I went back upstairs and my roommate woke up. My roommate asked, " Why are you up so early it's the weekend?" I said, " It's not early we get up at 5 or even 6 o'clock to go to school it's 8:30 in the morning." Peter said, " I knew that although what I meant to say was why did you get up at 7?" I said, " The flower shop is open and I have to go look for Meghan's perfect flowers to give to her on our prom date." Peter said, " Okay carry on."

I took a taxi to Lily's  Flower Shop and Boutique Stand. It was only a 10-minute drive because it was downtown a few miles back from SandSurfer Black Beach Park. I gave the taxi driver a 5 dollar tip to thank him for his service. I  walked a block on the left street of Rock Avenue and made a right turn to walk across the street to the flower shop. The flower shop was just a couple miles uphill across the Local bus stop station. I went inside the flower it was 9:45 in the morning a quarter past 9 O'clock. I asked one of the Owners if they had any rose that was in seasonal blooming. A lady named Lucy said, " We have roses that just blossomed this past spring. We also have fresh roses from the farm flower garden that just came in last week at the ending of March. We should have another new batch coming later on this Month although it won't be for another 2-3 weeks and 17 days because of shipment from out of state." I said, " Okay what about Lilies or Daisies?" Lucy said, " All of our Lilies and Daisies are gone although we do have some in the back that we haven't put them to places yet. We will be getting tons of dozens of more ships for our Daisies and Lilies shortly in about the next week or so. We have marigold in stock would you like to take a look at those?" I said, " No my girlfriend is allergic to those it gives her a bad vibe that makes her itch and wheezes like crazy."  Lucy said, " What about Tulips or Dandelions?" I said, " Tulips might work. Could you show me where you keep your Tulips flowers?" Lucy said, " Yes I'll be glad to assist you in the Tulip area and give you directions. Tulips are in Alie 16 second row to your left all the way down to the end. The newest and recent shipments are on the top shelf in the corner. If you go down you can see the more oldest but clean version of the tulips." I said, Thank you. Oh, Lucy, I forgot to ask you by the way where's the roses because I also would like to look at them too." Lucy said, " From the Tulip section you go take a right and you walk straight ahead to the sign that says Roses. The roses gotta be our most famous pride and favorite shipment in stock especially for prom or date nights although we don't have those on our daily ship list they normally take about a couple to a few months shipping it to us several months if you count out of state orders. The Rose sections have their own columns since theirs thousands of them each year." I said," Thank you and I'll let you know if I have any more questions." Lucy said, " You're welcome I'll be at the register or at the front desk if you have any more questions or if you need help navigating this shop." I went off to the tulips section of the store. I said to myself, " Alie 16 and in the second row on my left" a few minutes passed and he found the Alie where the tulips were at. I looked at all of the pretty colors there were yellow, orange, purple, blue, white, red, and pink. I knew my girlfriend Meghan would love these tulips although my friends might think it's kind of weird to get tulips instead of roses for prom so, with that being said in my head I decided to look at the roses to see.

I walked straight ahead and made a right turn and continued to walking forward until I reached the sign that said, " Roses." Lucy wasn't kidding around when she said, " Roses has its own section in the back." The rose section was huge times two buses that how largely big it was. They had to buy out another store just to have their own Rose section because it was that popular. Anyways, I looked around and I saw lots of different colors although mainly red, pink, and white were the ones I've seen the most at the store in the Rose section. The other colors were Yellow, Blue, Purple, and Orange roses. I face-timed my friends to ask them for their opinion on what color roses should I get Meghan. My brother's friend Andrew said to get her the White roses so that you can spray paint them. My friend Drake said, " Why would you want to spray paint the roses besides what if you mess it up. Jackson, I think you should just stick to the classic red roses it's simple. I said, " Thanks although this is my last prom and I don't want to get her just any simple roses. I want it to be something unique and special. My brother said," I know you want this to be meaningful although she would just be happy if you did and plan everything out for her. I know you love her and she means the world to you but this night is just about the two of you being together before you go off to college. She will just be happy as long as she has her last dance with you. Jackson, Big Bro, I know you got this don't worry you are smart and you will figure this out." I said, " Thanks Zachary I really needed that." Zach said, " No problem." Zach ended the face call and I decided to call Peter. Of course, the same old Peter always playing his games never changed. Lucky Mike was in the room with him so he picked up his phone." I said, " Hey Mike why are you answering on Peter's phone and why isn't he answering?" Mike said, " Oh Peter is just playing his games on his computer the same as always." I said, " Okay good both of you guys are here so I have a major problem." Mike said, " Is it about Prom?" I said, " Yes what color roses should I get her I have three options Red, White, or Pink?" Mike said, " Red nothing can go wrong with red roses." I said," That's what Drake said that I should just stick to the classic and simple. What about you Peter?" Mike, " Peter Hello Jack has a major prom emergency." Peter, " Oh Sorry what's up?" I said, " Roses which color should I go with and pick out for Meghan? Peter, " I say go with Red because Red is the colors and the key to every girl's heart way to love." I said, " Wow poetic I never knew you liked Poetry." Peter said, " I don't although I have to because we are doing this assignment in English that involves Poems." I said, " Okay thank you." I hung up and called Austin. Austin said, " Hey Jackson Mississippi how's it up there?" I said, " Hey Austin Texas how is life over there?" Austin said, " Good although for real why did you call? Let me guess you are having prom issues about choosing the perfect flower for your lady. Am I right?" I said, " Yes wait how did you know? Austin said, " It's kinda obvious and Drake told me we are both having Lunch together." I said, " Okay so what rose should I get her?" Austin, " I say just get all of them in a bouquet and also get the flower wrist thingy to match her dress like either blue or white." I said, " Awesome and don't you mean a corsage." Austin said, "Yes."
