A New Immortal
Before I continue with the story, I just want to make one thing clear: I wrote the first chapter BEFORE I watched Rise of the Guardians. So any similarities between that and this...are going to be taken advantage of! Thank you to ICantPickAFavFandom for pointing it out to me!!

One more thing... just in case I ever get a comment about it: I don't own ROG and I never will...unfortunately ...on with the story!!
Sometimes you have to go through a lesson more than once to really learn it. Sometimes that lesson can get really annoying because it has happened so often, you know what will be said by heart. Yet we haven't learned it yet so we keep going through the same experiences over and over. "I know all this, why do I need to learn it all again?" You might be thinking this as you sit through yet another lesson about WWI.
The thing is, it hasn't sunk in yet. That is why. More wars keep happening and all from the same type of mistakes. For example; WWII happened not too long after WWI and Vietnam and the war in Korea. We have not learned our lesson yet, we do not understand why we keep messing up.
Has anyone seen Home Alone? Have you seen the second one? The robbers kept making the same mistakes as in the first movie. The hair on fire and underestimating Kevin. Yet they still do not understand how they lost against a ten year old kid.
The same happens to Jack. Or Jack Frost as his name was now known as. He kept getting captured by Mitch the mad. No matter where he went or how deep undercover he went, Mitch would always find him. Of course he would always get away and he would find out a new skill of his.
Guess that means he is not the only one making the same mistakes.
For some one who has lived so long, you would think that Jack would have learned something besides more about his powers and about the new immortals that have appeared. Like why he was there in the first place. However, he did learn how to avoid them pretty quickly. The one created after Jack thought that he was the first and Jack didn't see any reason to correct that thought. Something told him that now was not the time to reveal himself. The ones he really had to look out for were the Easter Bunny and the one the children call Santa Clause. Jack just called him Sir Nicholas. He seemed to like the cold as well. yet Jack was doing his best to stay away from them. He was on his longest stretch yet. Soon he will have to move again or people will get suspicious.
At this moment in time, Jack Frost was living in an apartment in New York. The world really has changed since he last saw Mitch. The last time he saw him was back in the Dark Ages. Now those were some really dark times indeed; Mitch very nearly fell through with his plan to steal Jack's powers.
You might be wondering how he can live in an apartment since before, he could only be seen my Mitch the Mad. Well, he had figured out a way to be seen by the mortals. He took the opportunity given to him by an old friend of his. Jack had made friends with a guy named Ralph who was able to see through what ever was hiding him. He had a fascination with the moon and in the end, what ever magic that enabled him to see the immortal, released his essence into the moon. Because of that, there is magic in the moonlight that causes mortals to see Jack. A far as he knew, this only happened to him and only if he had gotten some moonlight the night before. None of the other immortals had problems with mortals seeing them. Sometimes, the moon is so bright that Jack can communicate with his old friend. Now he had a friend other than the wind, which still guided him in his actions.
Still, Jack knew that he would need to move on soon so he can stay hidden. If he did not then the Easter Bunny will find him. The larger than normal rabbit is excellent at finding things that do not want to be found. Mainly Jack Frost. He nearly caught him once or twice when he was eavesdropping on their conversations.
While it had happened nearly seven centuries ago, Jack remembered it as if it were yesterday...
It had been a stormy day at the North Pole and it was no coincidence that Jack Frost was there, being the cause of the storm. He was there, following the newest immortal; the Easter Bunny. He was curious as to what he was like and he often eavesdropped on the meetings held by all the immortals, except for Jack that is.
Sir Nicholas presided, being the oldest immortal they knew of. Jack never revealed himself, only three beings knew he existed. They happen to be Ralph, Mitch and the Wind.
As he watched, Jack could see the rabbit being welcomed by a chorus of cheers. He nodded in respect; despite being obviously nervous, he could see that the tropical bunny was good at noticing his surroundings. At the moment he was looking for any possible threats. Jack watched as he saw the Easter Bunny single out the Leprechaun as the one to keep an eye out. He looked as if he would steal your wallet when you aren't looking. Sandman and the Tooth-fairy were the ones to go to if you needed help.
Jack analyzed the new immortal like he analyzed all immortals. He could tell this was one to be careful around. Nor much would get past the egg hiding rodent.
The Easter Bunny was a pure white rabbit with gray markings that looked like tattoos along his arms and ears. He arrived knives at his waist and duel swords at his back, making an 'x' shape. The rabbit stood at attention, which led Jack to believe he was in the military in his past life. His ears stood straight up, not missing a thing.
Speaking of missing, Jack Frost almost missed the now concentrated search the Bunny was doing, he must have felt the stare Jack was staring at him. Suddenly glad he had missed the talk with the moon the night before, Jack increased the intensity of the snow storm surrounding him out side. He wasn't sure if the other immortals could see him. Jack had positioned himself outside the building at a window window with a really good view of the inside. He ducked lower in his crouch, his bare feet crunching the fallen snow.
Fortunately, Bunny did not see him and eventually went to sit down in his seat.
The meeting continued much like all the others, Sir Nicholas taking over and asking for reports on suspicious activity or people. Jack appreciated this part of the meeting because it gave him a chance to know if he needs to work on his hiding.
Sir Nicholas was smart. He recognized that since they were powerful and they were protecting something (the children and the ideas the represent) there will be someone who will eventually come to challenge them. He made sure that everyone was at their best. Sir Nicholas made sure that they were all prepared for what may come. While it was smart, Sir Nicholas did not know what to prepare for, as they have never had an enemy to fight before. Jack hoped that Mitch would just go after him and leave the other immortals alone.
Once the meeting was over, Jack dawdled a bit, making sure he would not miss anything or be seen. He was about to take off when Bunny glanced out the window and saw him.
"Frostbite," Jack cursed as he increased the storm out side and backed up into the storm.
"Who was that?" He heard Bunny ask, pointing to the window.
"What?" Sir Nicholas asked, looking in the direction Bunny had pointed.
"There was a boy outside the window," Bunny said. "He had white hair and he almost blended in with the storm outside but not quite.
Sir Nicholas narrowed his eyes at the window. "We do not know him," Sir Nicholas told him, "Excuse me, I need to look into this.
Sir Nicholas had almost caught him too. He saw Jack in much better detail than Bunny had. But Jack got away just in time. From then on, every meeting Sir Nicholas would ask for any updates on the mysterious boy with white hair.
