Dramatis Personae

Jack Glastonbury

John "Jack" Glastonbury is a 16-year-old young man of British ancestry, recently moved to the English countryside. He is the son of Dr. Giles Glastonbury and step-son of Jacqueline Glastonbury. He and Jill have been step-siblings since their parents' marriage, more than ten years before. Jack loves his sister, but would not openly admit it. He is often competitive; and may sometimes lash out at Jill, when things do not go as well as he hoped, only to regret his anger later.

Jack has an edgy Scene Kid style, including asymmetrical hairstyle, snug-fitting clothes. Jack dresses more in light colors, accented with dark colors. Jack's hairstyle covers his right eye, so that he looks out of his left (meaning we would see only the eye on our right, if facing him).

Jack tends to be very casual in personal interaction. He is highly intelligent, but has a hot temper and is often faced with a choice between a rational action and a rash action. His character challenge is to grow to act more responsibly and be able to take leadership roles in which he can choose actions that will be the best for all involved.

Symbolically, Jack represents the waxing moon. He is a more optimistic 'glass half full' person.

Jill Glastonbury

Jillian "Jill" Glastonbury is a 16-year-old young woman of African and French ancestry, recently moved to the English countryside. She is the daughter of Jacqueline Glastonbury and step-daughter of Dr. Giles Glastonbury. She and Jack have been step-siblings since their parents' marriage, more than ten years before. Jill loves her brother, Jack, but sometimes views him as competition for their parents' attention. She often acts very familiar and haughty when they are alone and even is mischievous enough to play pranks on her brother.

Jill has a Gothic-Lolita style, defined by precisely curled hair, and dresses and two-piece outfits with full skirts, inspired by Rococo design. Jill dresses in dark colors, accented by light colors.

Jill's manner with strangers is very proper and formal. She has a cool temperament and may be seen as calculating to the point of being manipulative. She is often challenged by decisions between an immediate gain and a potential future gain. Her character challenge is to not over-analyze or consider only her own gain, but to be able to trust her heart and choose actions that will be benefit others.

Symbolically Jill represents the waning moon. She is a more pessimistic 'glass half empty' person.
