~ Avni ~

" What but Ali how will I manage everything...we have tons of work pending " Ali is going to attend his cousin's wedding for 3 days leaving all the remaining work of our project on me. Ugh.

"  I know you can do it Avni aur agar zaroori nehi hota toh main nehi jata " I rolled my eyes and huffed.

" Ok fine, go "

" Thanks baby " I frowned.

" Bye..." Before I disconnect the call he spoke " Why don't you ask Neil for help " I automatically smiled hearing Neil's name.

     I have not talked with him since morning ( pouts ). Yeah we talk everyday and even go for coffee sometimes ( smiles ). After he broke his engagement we came more closer to each other. For him I'm his best friend and I'm happy with it. At least I'm something for him.

    I came out of my thoughts when I heard Ali's screamed on call.

" Avniiii " ahhh...I rubbed my ear. He was so loud. Idiot.

" Why are you shouting ? I'm not a deaf "

" Then why were you not saying anything " I frowned.

" Nothing... And I will talk with Neil " I hope he have wouldn't have much work. I want to spend some time with him.

    After disconnecting Ali's call I called Neil.

" Hello..." He answered.

" Umm Neil..I need your help " I said biting my nails nervously.

" Han Avni bolo na "

" Wo actually Ali apne cousin ki shadi main ja raha hai aur sara kam mere upar aagaya hai toh.... Can you help me in this project " I waited for his answer.

" Ya why not " I started jumping but didn't screamed.

" Thank you, Neil " this three days will be awesome. Only I and Neil. I'm already excited ( smiles ).

" I'll be in your office after one hour "

" Ok " he ended the call. I sat on my chair and closed my eyes. He is coming ( smiling widely ) .

   After one hour
~ Author's POV ~

    Neil had not come to Avni's office and Avni was waiting for him. She was getting impatient and was checking out side of window after every minute.

" Where is he ? Why he is taking so long " Avni thought tapping her foot on floor.

  Just then she saw a car stopped out side of her office and Neil stepped out of it. She smiled and then ran back to her seat. After 2 minutes she heard a knock on door.

" Come in " she knew it was Neil. Neil came inside her cabin and greeted her. Avni tried her best to hide her smile and excitement and behaved normal.

   They first discussed about the project then started working on it till evening without taking any break. It wasn't any new thing for Neil. He is a businessman and it was his daily work. And for Avni it was not any less than a fantasy. She was taking his glances every minute.

   Avni noticed that Neil was tired because of continuous work but wasn't saying anything.

" Neil, enough for today baki ka kam kal karte hain " Avni closed all tha files and Neil's laptop.

" Avni bas 5 minute " Neil opened his laptop  but Avni didn't listen to him again closed it.

" Neil I'm starving "

" Ok let's order something " Neil took his phone to order something online.

" Kehin bahar chalte hain na dinner ke liye " Avni suggested.

" As you wish " Avni smiled.

  After about half an hour they reached a restaurant. It was cosy and less crowded.

" I really liked the place " Neil complimented. Avni smiled and nodded.

    They talked about their college days while enjoying their food. Avni was the happiest person. The smile never left her face till she was with Neil. They were laughing and enjoying the fullest. No one can say they were only friends, they were looking like a happy couple.

Next day
In morning

Neil came downstairs for breakfast.   

" tillu tera office ka kaam kesa chalra hai " Sweta asked while serving food.

" Sab achha chal raha hai mom " Sweta smiled.

" Aurr avni kesi hai " Sweta asked sitting opposite of Neil.

" Acchi hi h mom Ali busy hai toh men help kar raha hu abhi usko business main " Neil said while having his breakfast.

" Wese Avni achhi ladki lagti hai "

" Understanding hai, staff ko kabhi for granted nahi leti, sabki care karti hai and acche se behave karti hai " Sweta was observing Neil the way he was praising Avni.

" Aur office ke baahar kesi hai "

" Baahar bhi wesi hi hai apni  friends ki bohot care karti hai "

" agar usme itni hi khoobiya h toh usse shaadi karle " Neil choked his food and Sweta passed him a glass of water.

" Are araam se tillu " Sweta said in a teasing tone.

" Dekh tillu men tuje usse shaadi karne ka suggestion isiliye de rahi hu bas kyuki tu usse college ke dino se jaanta hai aur mujhe wo ek achhi ladki lagti hai....Juhi ne jo kiya uske baad toh mujhe kisi pe bhi biswas nehi raha " Neil’s facial expressions suddenly became angry on remembering how he caught Juhi red handed cheating on him with her ex boyfriend and even after that she had the audacity to expect neil to forgive her.

" han mom mujhe bhi ab kisipe bharosa nehi raha " he said in coldly.

" Main janti hum Neil par tu Avni pe toh trust karta hai na " Neil nodded without thinking for a moment.

" Dekh Neil main tujhe pressurize nehi kar rehi main bas chahati hun ki tu iss bare main ek baar soche.... Tujhe Avni se achhi ladki nehi mil sakti kabhi "

" Han mom wo bahut achhi hai aur Meri best friend bhi par shadi aur dosti dono alag hai " Neil was confused with his feeling. He doesn't want to ruin their friendships.

Sweta sighed and held his hand.

" Ek anjan se shadi karne se achha hai ki tu apne beat friend se hi shadi kar le dono main kam se kam understand toh rehegi....ek baar santi se iss bare main soch le "
Sweta left while neil was in strange pool of emotions.

   Neil was confused in between his heart and brain. His heart was saying give it a chance and brain was saying what if it wouldn't work ?

" Should I talk to Avni directly ? I think this will be better. Avni ka point of view janna bhi important hai " Neil thought and decided he will talk with Avni first then take any decisions.
