Maroon red drapes graced the beautiful entry-way of the grand royal palace. Every nook and cranny of the court gleamed brightly with numerous chandeliers handcrafted with the finest of Swarovski crystals.
The atmosphere was glamourous; every individual present in the vicinity was decked up in luxurious regalia, and why wouldn't they? After all, it was the annual mafia ball, and everyone had to look up to part.
Four months have passed since Noor had teamed up with Irtaza and his gang to destroy and defeat Mihir Rizwan. Throughout the following months, everything slowly started changing.
Noor and Irtaza became closer than ever; they never knew how and when they slowly started to fall for each other. And somewhere along the way, love began to blossom.
The pain and loneliness Noor had suffered for the past few years slowly started to fade away; she had found a family within the strangers she had met a few months ago, and for her, it was a blessing in disguise.
Just as Noor and Irtaza became close, so did Ahaan and Noor. He was the best brother she could ask for, and even though Noor missed her sister, her Ayla, immensely every day, somewhere along the way, Ahaan had filled that void in her heart.
Time flew by fast; the trio and gang were closer than ever to uncover every crime Mihir Rizwan has ever committed. To the world, he was known as the successful CEO and founder of "Mihir Enterprises." but only his victims and their loved ones knew the kind of heinous and sick monster he was underneath that glamourous facade.
But now, no matter what, they would destroy the mere existence of Mihir Rizwan; he would pay for every sin he has committed on this earth.
The massive doors of the royal palace opened, indicating the arrival of the most awaited mafia leader, Irtaza Shah.
His aura screamed elegance and power; clad in a classic midnight black suit paired with an ivory white dress shirt; he looked magnificent as ever, his luscious dark hair gelled back while his classic full beard trimmed to perfection completed his charming look.
All eyes were on him, yet his honey-brown orbs searched for hers. Irtaza had to take care of some business before arriving at the ball, so Noor, Ahaan, and the rest of the gang had arrived an hour earlier.
Upon finding Noor, Irtaza was awestruck seeing the magnificent beauty in front of him; she looked ethereal as ever dressed in a shimmery black gown with a mid-thigh slit, long locks pin-straight while her ears adorned with sparkling diamond studs.
She instantly took his breath away. Then, calculating his every move, Irtaza walked through the ample ballroom paving his way towards Noor, where she was busy conversing with Ahaan.
Upon reaching the duo, Irtaza's orbs clashed with Noor's kohl-rimmed eyes; their mesmerizing eyes spoke a thousand words, and it felt as if time had instantly stilled.
The clearing of someone's throat broke their trance, and the culprit had a boyish grin plastered on his face; Ahaan had playfully disrupted their moment as he loved annoying his older brother, and with the biggest smile on his face, Ahaan spoke.
"Bhai, for the past five minutes, you have been staring at Di; at least compliment her. Do you know from the moment we have arrived Di has been bombarded with compliments?"
Smacking his lips playfully, he spoke further.
"But Bhai, I don't know if your compliments would live up to the wonderful words the many men present here spoke to Di."
Noor playfully nudged Ahaan in his stomach, telling him to stop teasing his brother, but Ahaan being Ahaan, loved seeing his brother's reaction, but more specifically, his possessive reaction for Noor.
Irtaza knew his little brother was messing with him, but his agitation only grew stronger when an attractive young man approached the trio seeking permission from Noor for a slow dance.
Noor had turned towards Irtaza, eyeing his every move; upon seeing annoyances written all over his face, Noor slightly smirked and agreed for the dance.
The young man, Lucas Montario, gracefully took Noor's delicate hands in his and moved to the center of the room. He then sneaked his arm around Noor's hourglass waist, and slowly the duo swayed along with the music.
Constantly eyeing the two, Irtaza's burning gaze was burring holes into Lucas's head. The vex look on his face screamed jealousy, and so having enough, he moved towards the swarm of people and stood in front of the handsome young man and his girl, stopping them from dancing any further.
And with a smirk on his face, Irtaza spoke.
"Montario, I think that's enough dancing for the night, so could you please give me back, my girl. I would like to dance with her now."
And with an equally playful smirk, Lucas let go of Noor and gracefully placed her hands unto Irtaza's. Then, sneaking his hands around her delicate waist, Irtaza pulled Noor exceptionally close; their fresh minty breaths mingled while their hearts beat erratically amongst their chest.
Nobody spoke for the past few minutes. Instead, the two swayed alongside the beautiful music and were once again lost in their own little universe. Then, clearing her raspy throat, Noor broke the calming silence.
"Why did you look so jealous when Lucas and I were dancing? He was such a great dancer; I was actually enjoying myself; he even complimented on how beautiful I look today, something you have yet to do."
Sensuously turning Noor around, the duo continued swaying alongside the soft music, when Irtaza gently brushed his full beard across her rosy cheeks. He then seductively whispered the mere words which he knew would take Noor's breath away.
"Of course, I was jealous Noor; I will always be extremely jealous because I don't play about mine, and you are mine, dear wifey. Oh, and by the way, you look, breathtaking mi amore."
Noor could hear the smirk oozing out from his mere words, but that was the truth; that was their reality.
Noor and Irtaza were married; it was part of their contract, their deal. To make sure Noor was safe while working together, he had to bind them together legally, and so the two had been married for the past four months.
Breaking Noor from her trance, Irtaza directed her to meet him near one of the more secluded areas of the lavish mansion.
Upon reaching the isolated area, Noor was firmly pulled away by a powerful grip, and before she could yelp out in fear, Irtaza's alluring gazed calmed her down.
Pinning Noor against the wall, Irtaza's gaze was transfixed on her, drinking in her every feature. He memorized every detail; the way her olive skin glistened under the bright lights or the way her cognac brown orbs intoxicated him, or the way her thick long lashes kissed her rosy cheeks, he had memorized it all.
His honey-brown iris kept glancing down at her supple, glossy lips, and in an instant, his lips came crashing down onto hers.
Time had stopped as soon as his lips met hers; the flutter in the pit of Noor's stomach only intensified as the kiss deepened.
Noor's heart pounded against her chest while her knees got weaker. She could only focus on how soft his lips felt against her mouth, how they addictively invaded all her senses, and at that moment, all she felt was pure bliss.
The duo breathlessly parted away as their kiss literally took their breath away. Noor and Irtaza's eyes were filled with so much love, so much longing, yet to this day, they haven't confessed their unwavering love for one another.
Maybe, they were waiting for the perfect moment to confess to each other, or perhaps the fear of being bounded by the contract was stopping them. But as they say, waiting never really did any good to anyone, and who knew their wait could cost them their love, cost them their everything.
After a while, Irtaza pecked Noor's forehead lightly, informing her to meet him back in the hall as they would head back home in a few moments.
Irtaza was the first one to leave, and just as Noor was about to follow suit, the ringing of her cellphone halted her at her spot.
Opening her classic YSL clutch, Noor pulled out her phone to see who was calling her; upon glancing at her phone, a frown appeared on Noor's forehead as the phone number flashing on the screen was of an unknown number.
Debating on whether or not to pick up the phone call, Noor picked the latter and accepted the call. Soon enough, Noor greeted the other person.
"Hello, who am I speaking with."
Noor voiced out.
But after hearing the response of the other person on the line, Noor became shell shocked and numb upon hearing their voice.
"Di, di, it's me, Ayla, I'm alive, please save me, please."
Noor stumbled back upon hearing her sister's voice; the sister she thought was dead was actually alive.
Tears brimmed her eyes but gulping down her fear, Noor spoke to her sister.
"A-Ayla, w-where are you? How are you, baacha? Tell me where you are, you're di will save you this time, please tell me."
Each word Noor spoke through the phone was with grave difficulty; she didn't know what and how to feel, but all she knew was that she had to save her sister this time.
Speaking on the phone further, Noor said.
"Ayla, why aren't you saying anything? Who are you with, why-"
But before Noor could speak further, a gruff voice cut her off.
"She's with me, she's with Mihir Rizwan, and she will be with me until you accept my bargain; if you want Ayla to return safe and sound, I want something in return for her."
Upon hearing the voice of that heinous monster, Noor's blood ran cold, and so she spoke with great pain.
"W-what d-do you want in return?"
"In return of Ayla, I want you."
The mere words from Mihir Rizwan's mouth shook Noor to the core; nothing could compare to what she felt at that moment, but now it was up to Noor, so what will she choose her sister's life or her own.
