Out of Order
After dinner and the debriefing it was time for Cedric along with other members of The Order to leave.
"I want to stay." Cedric told Krystal.
"Well the house is kind of full at the moment but I think we can find a place for you, lets just talk to Sirius about it."
Sirius was in the kitchen having a drink with Professor Dumbledore as Mrs Weasley tidied the room up a bit.
"Did you have a nice time Cedric?" Mrs Weasley asked with a smile.
"Yes ma'am, I was wondering if it would be alright if I stayed."
The room grew still as no one uttered a word, then Sirius rose to his feet.
"The only people who stay here are official members of the order of the Phoenix and their children." His words weren't sharp or threatening only the truth.
"But Krystal lives here." Cedric countered.
"First off Krystal is like a daughter to me, but more importantly Krys is a member of The Order." Sirius Black answered him
Cedric turned and looked at his girlfriend "what happened to no more secrets?" He asked with a pleading tone.
"I thought that was obvious." Krystal admitted.
"Then i'll join too." Cedric stated boldly.
"Cedric are you sure about this?" Professor Dumbledore asked. "Granted we don't exactly make you take a blood oath or get a hideous tattoo this isn't a subject to be taken lightly. Are you sure you're ready to start living a secret life, one you can never speak of to your parents or your best friends?"
"My parents are too wrapped up in their own lives to notice when I'm away from the house." Cedric confessed, "don't get me wrong, they love me and my father has taken bragging about me as his newest hobby, but I'm capable of so much more than they know."
"So what are you going to tell your parents when you move out?" Sirius questioned him.
"I'll tell them I'm going to be staying with Krystal until school starts back up."
"And what happen when they want to meet Krystal's aunt?" Sirius asked.
"They wouldn't," he replied a tad embarrassed. "Dad's always busy with work and my mum, well she usually locks herself in our basement crafting trinkets and baubles which she later sells on the muggle internet."
"Wait, you have muggle technology in your house?" Krystal asked.
She didn't recall any sort of electronics in his house when she visited him not too long ago, the only exceptions were the kitchen appliances and a radio that picked up only Wizarding stations.
"Only in the basement." He clarified, "mums got a Telephone, computer, internet, and even a small television that she watches day time television on."
"I can't believe it." Krystal sounded.
Cedric chuckled a little, "yeah Mum has a cousin who married a muggle and he introduced her to all of these things when we went to visit them one summer."
"No not that, it's just, all those owls we've written and you could've just called me." Krystal said as she pulled out her cellphone.
"That's all fine and well but can we get back to the matter at hand?" Sirius cut in, "if you're going to stay here you can share a room with Molly and Arthur's son Ron, also I know that you two are in a relationship but as long as you both live here nothing too extreme do you understand?"
The two teens stayed quiet.
Sirius squeezed his eyes shut and sighed, "no sex."
The two groaned about the insinuation.
"That's my only rule, respect it or I'm going to have to ask you to leave, member or not."
They both agreed and soon left to get Cedric's things.
. . . . .
As Cedric collected his belongings Krystal waited outside to give the family some privacy. The night was quiet and calm out here in this scenic country side. Then a young girl and an older gentleman came running toward her.
"Get inside girl, there's been another breakout at Azkaban prison, lots of dangerous prisoners have escaped."
Krystal's head spun as she took in this new information, she tried desperately to remember when in the book Bellatrix Lestrange actually escaped from Azkaban. But she was coming up blank, she could only remember when she kills Sirius in the ministry.
Krystal waited anxiously for Cedric to return and when he did she grabbed his hand and apparated right back to number 12 Grimmauld place.
"Sirius!" Krystal yelled into the dark house causing the portrait of Mrs Black to begin screeching.
The entire house seemed to wake up and come barreling down the stairs.
"What is it?" Sirius asked as he tied his night robe closed.
"There's been a massive breakout at Azkaban, many of the high security inmates were able to get out including your cousin, Bellatrix." Krystal said in a panic. "I knew it was going to happen but I think it was suppose to happen later, much later, and if that's true then pieces of the future I've seen are starting to happen out of order."
"Arthur send an owl to Dumbledore and let him know what's happening" Sirius instructed. "Molly would you be so kind as to get the children back into bed and I will write the other members to inform them of everything."
"We can't!" Krystal yelled. "Remember our mail is being monitored, it might be late but I wouldn't put it past the Ministry to have Dumbledore under constant surveillance."
Krystal pinched the bridge oh her nose as she tried to think of something, "I don't think there's anything we can do, if they don't already know they'll find out first thing in the morning, regardless I'm going to assume we're going to have a full house in the morning."
"Then we should all get back to sleep, Ron help Cedric get settled in." Mrs Weasley said as she ushered everyone upstairs.
Krystal climbed the stairs as she held Cedric's hand, his touch calmed her nerves down a bit but then they reached the bedrooms. Krystal kissed Cedric good night as his new room was on the right and her room stood alone on the left.
"No snogging or we'll tell Sirius." Fred sang.
"Oh hush, it was a kiss good night, nothing more." She insisted as she went on her way into her room.
Once in her room Krystal searched for her iPad and found it in her desk. Her screen came to life and she accessed her library and quickly found her Harry Potter digital collection.
But when she tried to click on them there was an error, she couldn't open the books. Krystal tried each book but none opened, so she tried another book in a different series which worked perfectly.
She launched her iTunes to see if she could re-download her books but the series was nowhere to be found.
Krystal shut off her iPad with the sad realization that the books no longer existed. The things she had done caused a rift in this universe and now she was pretty much stuck in the magical world walking blind. Krystal only hoped she could remember enough, and prayed that in the end the books would restore themselves because a world without Harry Potter is a cruel world indeed.
