Headquarters
The fly back to Sirius' place went successfully and upon there arrival the remaining members of The Order were holding a meeting in the dining room.
Everyone noticed them and they stopped conversing. "Harry" Mrs Weasley acknowledged as she retreated the room and closed the door behind her. "Thank heavens you're all right, a bit peeky but I'm afraid dinner will have to wait until after the meeting is finished."
"But-"
"No, no time to explain straight up stairs, first door on the left."
"I'm going to go with him." Krystal said as she kissed Cedric and followed Harry upstairs.
They walked in silence and as soon as the door opened Hermione barreled forward and enveloped Harry in a tight hug full of thankfulness and relief.
Hermione began rambling about the injustices of the situations at hand, Ron was trying to get her to calm down and Krystal stood back as she observed Harry's lackluster attitude.
"It's completely unfair." Hermione finished.
"Yeah there seems to be a lot of that going around." Harry remarked, "what is this place anyways?"
"It's headquarters." Ron said.
This time Krystal stepped forward and filled Harry in on the whole Order of the Phoenix, the secret society of good doers.
"And no could've put that into letter I suppose, I've gone all summer without a scrap of news." He remarked angrily.
"We wanted to write mate, honestly we did." Ron said a little hurt.
"Only Dumbledore made us swear not to tell you anything." Hermione added.
"Dumbledore said that?"
"Look Harry, I know this seems unfair and so unexpected but you have to understand, this world isn't exactly how you remember it the last time you visited and we've been under constant watch from both the ministry as well so much worse." Krystal stated, "speaking of which I have to go to the meeting down stairs."
"I'll come with you." Harry said.
"You can't." Krystal said apologetically, "you aren't a member." And just like that she left the trio alone.
"Krys, so nice of you to join us." Sirius sounded with a slight grin as Krystal took a seat at the table next to Cedric.
"Shackelbot, I'm going to need you to send a message to Dumbledore for me." Krystal announced.
"Sure thing Montgomery." He said smoothly as he produced his lynx patronus.
"We have to tell him Mad-Eye's been compromised, he drew blood from our only hope, and it's only a matter of time before HE is back if he isn't already."
The table sat in wonderment as they stared at her and Shackelbot exchange a coded message. Once the patronus went about its way Krystal faced the table, with her head in her hands as she explained.
"Moody betrayed us, or maybe he was under the Cruciatus curse or someone was using polyjuice again but tonight he stole blood from Harry and then disappeared." Then with a sigh she finished, "as a majority of you know I've seen Vold- eh... He Who Must Not Be Named coming back, we did everything we could to prevent it from happening last year, but it seems his followers still found the only way to bring him back, a spell, one that uses an intricate potion requiring stolen blood from Harry."
"This can't be." Tonks said a little alarmed, and for the first and only time her hair was flat brown and serious to match her emotions.
Krystal nodded, "things are about to get bad, really bad, but I'm going to do the best I can with my gift of knowledge to stop anyone I love from dying."
She spoke the words to the room but she looked at Sirius as she said them. To lose Sirius would be heartbreaking beyond all reason...especially now, now that they were family.
"Seems our meeting has been compromised." Cedric pointed out as crookshanks the cat entered the room with a magical ear.
Mrs Weasley sighed and we all knew the meeting was over, she opened the door and announced dinner.
Mr Weasley spoke with Harry before Sirius acknowledged him.
"Harry Potter."
Harry stepped forward and the two embraced like old friends.
Dinner was served and they all ate and talked, with everything going on it was so hard to remember the normalcy of their lives. Laughing at Tonks' abilities, holding hands with loved ones, or simply enjoying a conversation with a family member.
"Fear makes people do terrible things Harry." Lupin said getting Krystal attention.
"We think that if the Dark lord comes back he will be after something specifically this time, something he didn't have 14 years ago."
"That is enough!" Mrs Weasley cut in sharply. "He's just a boy, you say much more and you may as well induct him into The Order."
"Good, I want to join." Harry sounded back, "if Voldemort comes back I want to fight."
Krystal didn't miss the satisfied smile and wink Sirius shot at Harry in approval of his godson. But suddenly Harry fell to the floor, his hand flying up to his head.
He smashed the scar with his palm and cried out.
Krystal was up and over Harry in a matter of seconds as was Lupin and Sirius.
"It's happened." Krystal whispered with fear, she looked up into the eyes of Sirius and Lupin, "Voldemort has returned, and Harry will have a connection to him now because of the blood that was used."
Mrs Weasley frantically ushered the kids out of the room while Cedric magicked Harry into his bed upstairs.
Once the room was clear of only members Krystal spoke up.
"It is imperative we get that prophecy now, he will be after it for information."
"We will go as soon as you kids are back in school." Sirius said.
"NO!" She shouted.
The room grew tensely silent, Cedric returned and grabbed Krystal's waist to calm her down.
"Sirius, I know you want to help and so you will. But please, please promise me you will never step foot into the ministry of magic either as a human or an animagus." Krystal pleaded.
"Krys?"
"Please Sirius, it- it isn't worth the risk involved." She finished. Krystal couldn't bring herself to say 'If you go, you will die.' To think about it brought tears to her eyes.
But if she was being honest with herself the whole events of tonight only proved that there was nothing Krystal could do that wouldn't right itself in the end and that terrified her.
She had stopped Barty Crouch Jr from making the trophy into a portkey to bring back Voldemort, but it turns out she only delayed it from happening.
What else had Krystal delayed.
She looks into Sirius' worried eyes and then looked up into the handsome face of her loving boyfriend, would they be lost to her as well no matter how much she fought to keep them?
