Nathan p.o.v.

we drove back to school and split ways Bianca,Izzy,Taylor and James all had to get to their last class and me and Damian are driving in my car. "hey man I need to go to the pack house to talk to Izzy's dad about joining the pack I think you should too" I tell him.

"yeah definitely I cant leave Bianca yet and wait what about your dad...you think he'll let us join another pack" he ask.

"shit I don't know but I'm not going to leave Izzy yet either...I'll just ask my dad later I need to ask her's first" I mumbled. "do you think he will say yes" he said looking at me. "I don't even kno-" I get interrupted by my mom mind linking me. 'honey please come home something's happen....' she said crying

'mom what are...' she cut me off 'rogues attacked again.... your father... was trying to protect us and......and he..he...he's dead ..." she said crying still oh my gosh No my... he cant be dead he cant thought in horror.

'mom I'll be home really soon okay, I'm on my way' I say calmly, I can't freak her out more. "are you okay?" Damian ask me worried. "I just found out my dad just died" I say barely above a whisper as we pull up to the pack house

"oh I'm so sorry we have to get back to the pack now" he said worried and touched my shoulder "we need to tell Izzy and Bianca were leaving" I say in monotone whisper my dad cant be dead I didn't get to say goodbye....if I was there I could have help maybe, he wouldn't have.....

"lets go, we can just mind link them on our way there we need to go" he said. "okay" I couldn't even argue on the subject, there was no point, I need to be with my mom and brothers right now.

Isabella's [Izzy] p.o.v

I keep getting this feeling like something bad is happening or about to happen,I don't know, but I can't figure out what. then Nathan mind links me 'Izz um I know your in class right now but I need to tell you something' he said sounding sad.

'oh I'm not even paying attention to the teacher anyways, so what is it' . 'I need to go ... back to my pack' he said with zero emotion in his voice

'what?! did my dad do something? did I do something? why are you leaving?' . 'no its not anything like that my dad *he paused* ... my dad died ...I need to go' he slowly said because it is painful. ' oh ... my. yes go I'm so sorry Nathan... go be with your family' I say. 'thanks Izz I'll be back as soon as I can... but what would be better is if you come with me.'

I thought for a minute... 'I could..you shouldn't be alone in this,but do you really want me to you should be with your family'.

'Izzy you are my family yes I want you to come' he said sincerely. 'I'm driving past the school now so just meet me out by your car' he says. 'okay I'll be out there in a minute'

then I get up and give Tay my car keys so they can get home. she looks confused but took the keys, once I get outside I hear my teacher screaming for me to come back. I really don't care about history class right now this is more important. I head straight to the parking lot where I see Nathan leaned against his car with his head in his hands.

I run to him and wrap my arms around his neck and gave him a tight hug "I'm so sorry" I murmured into his shoulder he wraps his arm around me "I'm fine Izz" his voice cracked "sure you are...you don't have to be tough okay but do you know how he..." I don't think I could finish that sentence

"um.... yeah it was rogues again he was protecting my mom and brothers...I should have been there." he said low "don't blame yourself Nathan, and he sounds like a fantastic man to protect his family the way he did.." I say holding his face in my hand looking him in the eyes. "okay"he simply says.

"we should go but I need to get my bag out the car" I say going to my car I should really lock my car more, I just left it unlocked but whatever I grab my bag out my truck I'm glad my parents kept my stuff in the car. "why do you have clothes in your car?" he asked as I walk back over to him and he takes my bag a puts it in his trunk

"I always keep a bag of clothes and other stuff in my car. who knows when you'll need stuff" I say with a small smile to lighten the sadness I know he feels "well it's smart and Damian's in the car too. he needs to see his dad and family to make sure they're ok" he said opening the passenger door for me while Damian sat in back "hey Damian" I say turning around "hey Izz" he said with a small smile that didn't reach his eyes. he looks so sad ugh why did this have to happen.

once Nathan got in the car he turned and looked at me with a small smile "I'm glad your here" he said low "I wouldn't want to be anywhere else" I say holding his hand and lacing our fingers together. we got the tingly feeling again but neither of us cared,so stayed like this the whole ride there which was probably an hour in a half drive. shit! I never mind linked my dad to tell him I was going.

'hey dad I'm going to Nathan's pack up north, his family and pack was attacked by rogues and his dad died protecting them so I just have to go... he needs me right now dad' I link to him. he takes a minute to reply 'yes of course Izz tell him I'm sorry for his loss, give my condolences to his family'. 'okay thanks daddy see you soon' I say to him. 'okay Izz I love you stay safe okay'. 'of course... love you too' I say and I turn off my mind linking so I don't get distracted.

I rolled down the window to get some air and all I smell is so much blood it makes my stomach turn and I cringe at smell. I quickly rolled the window back up so Nathan doesn't smell it but I think he did. I look over at him and he winced at the smell that invaded his nose. I lightly squeeze his hand to make him feel some type of comfort he looks at me with hurt eyes then looks back at the road

I feel so bad and I hate that I can't just fix this for him "it's going to be okay" I say softly. he nods slowly and we pull up to the big pack house. "ready to go" Damian said in a groggy voice. he went to sleep in the back I guess.

Nathan takes a deep breath "let's go" he said opening his door and going around and opened mine "thanks" I say smiling at him. then out of nowhere this short light skinned girl with dark hair runs and jumps on Nathan wrapping her arms around his neck and her legs around his waist.

wow she must be happy to see him I wonder if she one of his friends. "hey baby your finally home I'm so glad to see you we have alot to catch up on"she whisper seductively in ear. hold up who fuck is she? thats not a friend...does he already have a girlfriend?... what an asshole how could he not tell me. he looks surprised,confused and shocked all at once. then she noticed me and jumps off him and walks toward me "who the fuck are you!?" the mystery girl asked rudely "um who are you?"

"I'm Nathan's girlfriend" as soon as those words come out of her mouth I want to punch him in the face he is such a asshole I look at him and mouth 'what the fuck' he looks shocked and mouths back 'NO NO NO' while shaking his head quickly. "No Trina we NOT dating.. this is my mate Izzy" he said slowly and points at her. "What baby of course we're dating" she said smiling at him then turning back to me "listen bitch Nathan is my man and your not his mate ..I am" she growled out trying to intimidate me.

"Trina no your not my mate and we were never dating" he said looking at her like she is crazy I think she might be "okay Trina is it... yeah well sweetheart...that's MINE..." I say pointing at him and she growled and took a step towards me "and this is obviously very difficult for you to understand with that obviously small brain of yours but yeah he's mine so I'm just walk away from this *I gesture between me and her* and help my mate okay bye" I say patting her shoulder lightly as I walk past her but she grabs me by my braid and slams me into the side of Nathan's car. woah that was surprising and hair pulling really?! thats a bitch move.

I just look at her and laugh as I'm leaning against his car is she serious "oh are trying to fight me I don't think thats a good idea for you" I say smiling and calmly to her "yeah bitch, your trying to take my man lets see who wins" she says confidently and pushes me against his car again okay is it like national try to steal my mate day or something like this morning with Sarah and kiara now this bitch.

I growl at her cause I'm sick of her shit okay bitch wants to fight. we both stand in fighting stances and began circling each other. she lunges at me and kicks me in the side,I just get back up unfazed by her hit and charge at her punching her in the stomach and knock the wind out of her as she bends over trying to catch her breath.

I knee her in the face and elbow her in the back and she falls, face first on the pavement okay thats done I start walking away but she grabs my ankle and my face collided with the pavement. damn ow okay that hurt it was unexpected and it fucking hurt then she flips me over and punches me on the cheek hard. I growl at her and flip us over so I'm on top and I dominated her face with solid right punches.

Nathan p.o.v.

I should really stop this. ugh I should but ...I kinda want to see em fight is that horrible does that make me a bad person ... maybe but I'm kinda okay with it. *Izzy is on top of her punching her in the face* oh crap I should get Izzy she is really beating the fuck out of her now. I walk over to Izz and pull her off Trina before she kills her.

"okay Izz it was hilarious to see that,but you need to calm down" I say putting my hands on her shoulders holding her back. she fights it for a second then finally calms down and takes deep shakey breaths from being so pissed off "I'm sorry" she said in shakey breaths still "I should not have done that.." she said looking at her hands that are covered in blood

"uhh ..my hands are uhh eww" she said disgusted with the blood "it's okay.. your okay I should have stopped that earlier on I'm sorry" I say wrapping my arms around her then pulling away and looked at her "who's that.. is that your mom" she said sounding a bit nervous looking past me and at my mom "yup" I say smiling at my mom as she walks closer to us "hi Nathan oh my...sweetheart are you okay" she said looking at Izzy

"hi I'm Izzy, I'm okay and I'm sorry for your loss I wish I was meeting you under different circumstances " she said with a small smile and waved at her " thank you lets get you inside Izzy so you can clean up" she said sweetly "woah.. you did that to her why?" she asked looking at some of the pack members helping Trina up her face is bloody,black and blue all over Izzy was really pissed off but it's incredibly hot. "um well I'm Nathan's mate and she challenged that so..." she trailed off and my mom chuckles lightly "so you beat her ass... I already like you, she was annoying" she said smiling at Izz. my mom is so great even when I know she hurting.

Isabella's [Izzy] p.o.v.

his mom is awesome I cant believe she was okay with what I just did. his mom was slightly tan and has long raven black hair with the same dark green eyes that Nathan has. "so mom when did it happen and how are the boys" Nathan asked his mom as we get inside the house his mom leads me to a bathroom so I can clean up. I wash all the blood off my hands and the few drops that were on my face. when she punched me the cheek she bruised my face. I take my braid down so my wavey hair will cover my cheek.

well thats going to take about a few hours to heal. after I finished I go back out where Nathan and his mom are in the living room. "oh it happened last night really late and.." she stops because a little boy maybe 4 years old ran up to Nathan cheering his name. aww he is so cute. "hey buddy" Nathan said crouching down and hugging the boy.

"Nathan have you seen daddy we are oupposta to hang out today" he said in a cute little kid voice. Nathan sighed and closed his eyes for a second and looked up at his mom and she looks like she will cry again. it's obvious she had been crying for a while. Nathan looks back at his little brother "no bud I haven't, but I want you to meet my new very special friend" he said smiling.

he is trying to distract him from what's actually wrong. "hi I'm Joey" he said smiling at me "hi Joey, I'm Izzy" I smile at him. Joey has messy cute brown hair with chubby cheeks and light brown eyes. he turns back to Nathan and whispers loudly "she's pretty" Joey said. "I know" Nathan whispers back loudly on purpose. me and his mom start laughing at them and his mom blinks away her tears that just started to form.

Joey runs away to go play and I sit on the couch next to Nathan and he laced our hands together again. then I just realized where is Damian. "Nathan where did Damian go" I ask. "I don't know he kinda just disappeared he probably went to see his dad" he said then 2 teenage boys walk down the stairs and one looks about our age and the other one looks around 13. the older one takes a quick glance and keep walking and the younger one looks at me and smiles and walks toward us

"hey Nathan are you going to introduce me" he said looking me up and down oh this kid is hilarious. Nathan rolls his eyes "don't look at her like that" he says sternly. "Izzy this is my brother Christian... Christian this is Izzy" he introduced us

"Izzy your so beautiful my brother has no idea how lucky he is" he said smiling at me "aww Christian thank you that's so sweet" I say laughing. "he is so stupid" I hear Nathan mumble.

I just roll my eyes at him and the other boy leans into the living room "Nathan why did you even come back you weren't here to help last night and no wants you here anyway!" he said coldly

"shut the fuck up I just found out about it today!" Nathan raised his voice "who cares you should have been home,but instead you where out with this hoe!" he said gesturing toward me. hold up what fuck did I do.

I was about to tell this dumbass off but Nathan beat me to it. "Lee shut the fuck up dont say shit about my mate before I kick your teeth in" Nathan said through his teeth and stood up. I hold Nathan's hand and lightly tug his hand so he will not do something he regrets

"calm down he's hurting" I whisper to Nathan. "you shut up hoe you don't know how I feel" Lee snapped at me I was just trying to help this little fuck cause Nathan wants to beat his ass but apparently he still hates me "okay Lee I know your pissed off and angry but you better stop being a little prick and have some manners!" his mom said sternly getting annoyed. "whatever" he mumbled walking away with Christian. "I'm sorry Izzy he's just.." she shifted uncomfortably. "no it's fine I get it he's pissed"

"mom what are we going to do and where is Will" he asked her. she starts crying again wiped away her tears quickly Nathan wraps his arms around her "Will he.. won't talk ...he's.. been in his room and hasn't said two.. words to anyone" she said in between crying. "mom I'll talk to him okay" he murmured into her hair as he held her.

"Please sweetie he saw his body after..." she said trying to catch her breath "no mom it's fine calm down okay"he said looking calm for her. she calms down,stops crying and smiles at him "thank you honey I'm so glad your home" she said giving him a hug. "I'm sorry mom I should have been here" he said.

"No stop doing that okay you cant blame yourself"she said looking at him. he grins at her "okay mom I'm going to talk to Will I'll be back" he said getting up and walking upstairs. his mom takes a deep breath to compose herself.

"so Izzy I want get know my new daughter-in- law" she smiled at me "sure ma'am I'm.." she cut me off "ew don't call me ma'am it makes me feel old my name Susan" she smiled at me "okay Susan I'm 16 and a junior in high school. I'm from the crescent moon pack,my name is not Izzy it's Isabella,but I prefer Izzy, my dad is alpha Jay and he said he is so sorry for your loss I know he was friends with your husband".

"yeah your father is really a nice man and tell him thank you and do you have any siblings?" she asked. "yes I do I only have a old brother his name is Liam". "your lucky small family. I on the other hand live in a house full of boys,you have no idea how much you being here means. I really needed another girl in this house" she laughs out. I chuck with her "speaking of the boys how old are they?". "oh Nathan is 17, Lee is 16,Christian is 14,Will is 9,and Joey is 4" she exhaled loudly that was alot to say.

"wow I don't see how you did that" I say astonish "yeah their a hand full ,but Nathan was probably the easiest he is just like his dad strong willed, funny and comforting" she said looking at nothing in particular she must really miss her husband.

"I know you raised really sweet children" I smile at her "thank you Izzy your such a sweet girl you did accept Nathan right?" she said sceptical. "oh no I haven't...yet I mean um were going ...slow with I think" I say unsure "oh okay that's good you guys are going slow" she said.

"I mean Nathan is definitely a sweetheart and makes me laugh like I dont think I ever have before,and makes feel like I'm like incredibly important and a I could almost say that I lo-" I stop mid sentence because I smell him "Nathan ...Nathan" I call out to him and he comes stumbling down the stairs

"hey ...what you guys talking about" he said scratching the back of his neck "so you were listening to our conversation then" Susan raised an eyebrow at him

"what no why would I do that"he said smiling "your horrible at lying you do know that" I laugh at him. "okay I was listening but..... okay I have no reasoning behind what I just did nevermind" he said nervously. I just laugh at him "your a weirdo" I say jokingly in between laughing "that right there, might be a fact"he said smiling and sat next to me.

"so mom Will he is all good now, we talked but what are we supposed to do I can't be alpha until me and Izzy mate"he worried. "I'm not sure there isn't that many of us left you know a lot of the men last night.." she stops and takes a deep breath and Nathan nods in understanding "yeah mom so how many now are left now" he asked "um 25 I think there was some are injured though" Susan said.

holy shit only thats it. " how many did you guys have before?". "we had 40ish I think" Nathan replies looking at his hand. "well since Nathan cant be alpha right now.. why don't you guys join our pack we have plenty of room in the pack house" I offer. "what? Izzy that's sweet but we cant do that" Susan replied.

" No I want you guys too. My dad would love to have you guys in our pack, he understands what you guys are going through it will be fine" I reassure her. "are you sure Izz" Nathan said holding my hand. I jump from the tingle and smile at him "yeah I'm definitely sure" I say then my hair falls in my face. Nathan tucks it behind my ear and smiles at me with love in his eyes I smile nervously and get lost in eyes.

"okay" he simply says. I just nod and Susan clears her throat and stands up "I'm going to go make dinner okay" she pats Nathan on the shoulder "do you need help I love cooking" I say stopping myself from starring at him. "no it's okay sweetie I got it" she smiled at me. "okay" I say low as she walks away. then Nathan lays his head on my lap. "I'm so glad your here with me right now" he said nuzzling closer to me "I love being here for you" I whisper.

"hey you never explained why Trina thought you guys were dating". "oh that well she's crazy.. last year we were all at this party and I kinda got a little drunk and...." he stop mid sentence and looked scared to tell me the rest "okay and..." I urge him to continue. "okay and we kinda had sex in a closet.. I tried to let her down easy and she was not having that and kinda like fell in love with me" he said looking scared of my reaction.

"eww" I cringe at the thought "I know not my proudest moment I'm sorry" he looks ashamed "yeah that's okay I guess I mean you didn't know you were going to meet me, some people take years to meet their mates but how many girls have you slept with" I raised an eyebrow at him. he thought for a second "oh well 3 including Trina" he said truthfully. "what about you" he asked. "what are you serious?!" I say laughing "yeah what?" he asked confused.

"oh well have you met my brother and dad no I have never even dated anyone" I shrugged. "I'm happy about that but I just cant see how.. I mean have you seen you?" he asked shocked I blush and hide my face so he won't see. "wow Nathan your funny". and he reached up and took my hands off my face "stop hiding beautiful your adorable"he smiled with loving eyes again

" how do you do that?". "what?" he questions "you always call me beautiful and stuff... I guess I'm just not used to that." "well I do that because it's true and you should definitely get used to it"he said in a obviously- tone . "I can't believe how corny you are" I laugh at him. "I'm not corny as you said I'm a sweetheart" he smirked.

"you should not have been listening." "you didn't finish your sentence earlier were you going to say you love me" he said smirking still "what I .. don't know what I was going to say I..forgot" "sure Izzy you forgot" he says sarcastically.

shit was I going to say I love him? do I love him? .... no I don't ..I can't yet right?.... I mean I could love him... in the future, but first I need to figure out what love is exactly....
