First Days Are Always Hardest
Midoriya found himself walking to school, wearing the U.A uniform. That's right, it was his first day going to his dream hero school!!
Midoriya was beyond excited, the brightest smile he could muster shining on his face. And it was real.
They didn't even require him to wear his quirk surpresion bracelet!! It felt so refereshing, not dealing with nausea due to the chemicals it used to surpress his quirk.
It was possibly the best thing to happen too him! (or, that's what it seemed like at the time)
Soon enough, Midoriya was wandering the halls of UA, trying to find class 1-A. "Rood gnowr eth ghourth og I did? Rood reay stirf eth neeb evah ot dah ti, rood eth no '1' a saw ereth, on!!"
He felt someone tap him on the shoulder, distracting him from his thoughts. He turned around, to see the girl from the entrance exams. "Hey, you're that plain looking guy with a bunch of different quirks, right?"
Midoriya scratched the back of his head, "Well, not quite.. My quirk just has multiple abilities, but yeah, that's me."
The girl just grinned, "Well, I'm Uraraka Ochaco! Do you happen to be in class 1-A?" Midoriya nodded, "Yeah, actually, I was just looking for it! I'm Midoriya Izuku by the way, but everyone just calls me Cipher."
"Well, Cipher, d'you wanna look for class 1-A together?" Uraraka asked.
Midoriya paused, hesitant. After a few moments, though, he said, "I don't see why not.."
She grinned at him, "Alright, let's go then!!" "Right!!"
And with that, the two of them started running through the halls once more, searching for their class.
"Oh, hey, there it is!!" Uraraka said, pointing at one of the large doors, which had "1-A" inscripted on it. "Woah, it's so big...!" Midoriya mumbled.
Uraraka grinned, and opened the door, dragging Midoriya into the classroom with her.
The first thing they saw was Bakugou, with his feet on his desk, and the blue haired boy yelling at him for it. Midoriya let out a startled squeak, and promptly hid behind Uraraka.
"Huh? What're you hiding for?" Uraraka questioned, to which Midoriya stuttered out, "I-I'm k-k-kinda scared o-of Ka- B-Bakugou....." he stopped himself from using the childhood nickname, knowing that it made Bakugou angry.
Bakugou noticed him behind Uraraka, however, and growled, "Cipher?! They really let a fucking monster like you in?!"
"Hey, that's not very nice!!" Uraraka said, crossing her arms. Midoriya whimpered, not saying anything.
"Tch, I don't have to be nice to a shitty fucking villain like him!!" Bakugou yelled, creating explosions in one hand. "P-please d-don't blow me up..." Midoriya whispered.
"Fuck you!!" Bakugou shouted at him, the explosions getting louder and brighter. Midoriya could feel him flames bubbling up under his skin, but he forced them down. As scared as he was, he didn't want to get Bakugou angry - That would only lead too more pain, after all.
The blue haired boy chopped his arms about, as he yelled, "Bakugou-san!! Stop being so disrespectful!! And you shouldn't be using your quirk outside of training!!"
Midoriya shrunk back, ashamed that he needed someone else to keep Bakugou from hurting him. He should be stronger... He knew that his quirk was powerful - Mabel and Dipper only confirmed it by comparing him to Bill. He could protect himself, he knew that.
And yet...
And yet he was too scared, fearing the punishments he knew would come with it. He should be stronger than Bakugou, should be able to keep him from messing with Midoriya. He was, but at the same time he wasn't. He was weekened by fear, made to cower away from threats instead of fight back. Because he was too dangerous, they'd say. Too dangerous, villainous, scary, monster. Didn't want him to hurt anyone.
Didn't want him to bring forth disaster like they knew he could.
Shakily, he snapped his fingers. Focus. Bakugou would hurt him otherwise.
There was a full on arguement now, Bakugou versus Uraraka and the blue boy. It was almost jarring to see people going against what Bakugou said, but he didn't mention it too them.
He silentely watched it all happen, keeping an especially close eye on Bakugou. He was the one that would actually hurt Midoriya, after all.
Suddenly, a voice interupted, "You're all too loud. None of you even noticed me. Hero students should be more observant than that."
Midoriya's head snapped to where the voice had come from, too see a yellow caterpillar with a face. After a few moments, the caterpillar spoke again, "It took you all 8 seconds to quiet down. Rational students would do better than that."
The caterpillar unzipped itself, and Midoriya realized that it was, in fact, a man in a sleeping bag. Said man stood up, and pulled a stack of UA gym uniforms from his sleeping bag, and set them on the closest desk.
"Put these on and head out to the field. We're doing a quirk apprehension test."
