Quirk Test - Conflicting Encounters
Hizashi Yamada strolled through the corridors, whistling a beat to himself while he carried a large stack of books to the teacher's lounge. The man seemed eccentric to others, with his gravity-defying banana hair and his black leather jacket and pants, topped with orange tinted sunglasses perched on his nose. His personality fit his quirk, Voice; very loud and energetic.
All of the students knew him though, and they loved him. He was an easily approachable person, and was a popular teacher because of it. So he responded with "HEYYY"s and "WHAZZUUUP"s while he made his way through the hallway.
Until something caught his eye.
He peered out the large window, looking down below on Training Ground A. Sure enough, his super amazing best friend Aizawa Shouta was there, about to expe- I mean test his new class. Hizashi had no doubts, since there was a gloomy and depressing aura radiating off the area.
A tuft of green and yellow hair caught his eye before he went on his way, though. Hizashi squinted, peering down at the class, and jumped up in shock when he recognized one of the faces. One of his favorite little listeners, Izuku Yagi, was among the group.
Hizashi grinned to himself. Now he knew for sure that Aizawa would have at least one student that would remain in his class. The yellow-haired pro hero ran to the Teacher's Lounge, where he knew he could exchange this gossip with one of his good friends Nemuri Kayama, also known as the Pro Hero Midnight.
Yes, this would be a memorable day indeed, a day that would mark the rise of a legend...

Bakugo grit his teeth in frustration. It was only the first test, he reminded himself. He knew his strengths didn't lie in speed. But he was supposed to be the best. The very best. At EVERYTHING.
So how did he lose by a 4 second difference!? Bakugo's score was 4.13. He could accept his 'loss' if the difference wasn't so astounding. There were other students who scored better than him on this test.
But when Bakugo crossed the line, exhaling, he looked up. Looked at the boy who was standing in front of him. The boy, who had green and blond hair, looked down on the explosive male with his heterochromic eyes.
Bakugo had never seen such utter disdain in someone's eyes alone.
No, Bakugo wasn't infuriated by the fact that he was looked down upon by someone.
He was infuriated that, for a split second, he was absolutely terrified of that boy.
The boy turned away, and walked over to the fence, leaning against it. It didn't even matter to him.
It was as if he couldn't sense any presence from Bakugo at all.
No, maybe he could. Maybe he just didn't care.
Bakugo recovered from the moment, reassuring himself that the feeling didn't happen. It was annoyance at the boy, for underestimating him. Bakugo was the best, after all.
He had to be the best.
If he wasn't the best, then...
No. There was no room for doubt. Bakugo dismissed his hesitation, trotting over to where the next test was about to be administered, his scowl returning to his face.
------------------------------
Todoroki was shocked.
Now, this said a lot since the dual haired boy almost never experienced emotions such as that.
But it made sense if you consider the following.
Aizawa's test was designed to evaluate the physical capabilities of a quirk. Naturally, no one has a perfect quirk that is suited for every test, and so everyone will score different ranges. There was at least one test where a certain student excelled in, doing amazingly well, because it matched the nature of their quirk.
So of course Todoroki was shocked when this mystery boy with green and blond hair not only excelled at one or two or even three tests, but all of them. Getting impossible scores at all.
Todoroki thought that it was nearly impossible to have a perfect quirk. That was what he was supposed to have, after all, and even he knew his quirk had weaknesses. Even his quirk couldn't be the best at every portion of the test.
This was Todoroki's first mistake in judgement.
This mystery boy, whose first name he learned was "Izuku" from the teacher calling out his name when it was his turn, was achieving scores like no other.
In the 50 meter dash, he finished at 0.46 seconds. In nearly an instant, Izuku shot forward, appearing at the end of the line.
Todoroki then decided that the boy had a teleportation quirk, as an explanation for the score.
That was Todoroki's second mistake.
It became apparent that this was not the case when Todoroki observed Izuku break the grip tester for the grip strength test. When Izuku cleared the standing long jump without a run up, but just a single hop.
When Izuku threw the ball so hard that it went into orbit, and got a score of infinity.
Naturally, Izuku placed first.
Todoroki had to settle for second.
He examined the boy again, after Aizawa had expelled a strange grape-headed boy who whined about not being able to peep enough.
And he determined that with Izuku's dual colored hair and dual colored eyes, Izuku was just like Todoroki.
It remained to be seen if this was a third lapse in judgement for Todoroki.
But it was the only explanation for what had transpired that his father, the No.2 Flame Hero Endeavor, just might accept.
Todoroki certainly hoped this was the case, for his sake.
This would mean that the boy was just like him, which would make sense in some ways.
But some parts didn't make sense.
Like how Izuku didn't show any signs of having two distinctly different quirks, unless he was only using one.
Like how Izuku wasn't as quiet or as closed-in as Todoroki was because of his experiences.
And most importantly, like how Izuku clenched his fist and allowed himself a small grin, whispering a quiet "Yes!" to himself.
It was as if he wanted to make his father proud.
In that case, perhaps Todoroki was wrong about Izuku's situation.
He wouldn't know, since the boy disappeared after Aizawa dismissed the class, and Todoroki never got to confront him.
Oh well.
There was always tomorrow.
So Todoroki changed out of his gym clothes, slung on his backpack, and began his walk home, pondering his thoughts about this intriguing blond and green boy.
Little did he know that the said boy in question would turn out to be a whole lot more of a mystery than he previously thought.
And that was Todoroki's third mistake.
