it had been a few weeks since the incident. only ivys close friends and regulus knew what had happened to her that night. and only ivy knew who had done it.

that christmas break, ivy had been invited to a ball at the black family house to announce her and regulus's engagement. she was ready to just get away from the painful memories of hogwarts for a while and to just enjoy some time with one of her closest friends. on the train ride home, regulus and ivy talked about the latest fashions in witch weekly and discussed what dress ivy was going to wear to the ball. by the time they had decided, the train was already at the station. they gave each other a quick hug goodbye and then went off to their respective parents. what ivy didn't see was a different grey eyed boy staring at her from over by regulus and his parents.

the next day was the day of the ball. ivy got ready fast and was very excited to get going so she could see regulus and his cousins bellatrix, andromeda and narcissa (who had been nothing but nice to her). she walked into the floo powder and said her location. after she got there, she immediately went to go catch up with andy, bella and cissy. they ended up all ranking the cutest guys in school, and then taking about how their last year had been. the three older girls hugged the small 15 year old who had ended up crying again because it had just sunk in that in a year she would be married to her gay best friend. "we have to go down now" bella said "you ready?" ivy nodded, and the three of them all headed down together, so they could mingle.
