Ivys pov:

"But I only have 1 godfather and he's..."

"Yes, I know" Dumbledore looked down and Remus looked sad. I can't blame them. I knew of 1 godfather and his name was James Potter. He was murdered along with his wife and my mother when I was little. I had never heard of another godfather I had! When I started listening again I heard that Dumbledore had started talking again.

"That's okay, isn't it Ivy?"

I looked at him blankly,

"What?" Remus laughed at me and I tried to look innocent but it failed so I tried a different approach.

"Very sorry headmaster, but my ears had temporarily stopped working. Can you please, very kindly repeat everything you just said?" I once again tried to look innocent. Remus was laughing at me even more and Dumbledore was chuckling.

"Remus will be teaching at Hogwarts as defence again the dark arts. If you would like to get to know him you have until term begins but he will be sitting on the train with you, that's okay, isn't it?

As I opened my mouth to start yes I decided to have a little fun with it.

"Well is this 'Remus'" I put my fingers under my chin to add to the effect "Well behaved. Is he a good boy whilst on the train. I do not want any misbehaving from him now do I, headmaster? It may ruin my reputation that I don't have yet!"

At this point Remus had practically burst from laughter and Dumbledore was chuckling away in the background.

When the laughter had died down Dumbledore looked at me expectantly.

"Yes, yes, alright you beat it out of me!" I threw my hands in the air in a surrendering motion. Dumbledore nodded. He was about to say some thing when Remus spoke up.

"I'd love to be able to get to know you. Only if you want I mean," He trailed off looking a but awkward.

"I'd love to!" I said. His face lit up like a child who'd just spotted an icecream van!

"If you would accompany Ivy home Remus, I happen to be drowning in work I must do." Remus nodded and gestured to the fire place.

"I will see you on the first day of school Ivy, goodbye." Then we were gone. I forgot I had even said any thing but I guess I was just overwhelmed with everything that had happened. I had set off dreading th meeting and now I was leaving it feeling so happy even my father couldn't bring me down.

"I'm back!!" I yelled and my voice seemed to echo through the whole house. There was no reply. I shrugged. I started towards the stairs only to see Remus hanging back awkwardly.

"They don't bite, you know!" I took his arm and dragged him to the stairs. I could here voices coming from upstairs. I stomped up them trying to attract their attention.

"Ivy dear, how did it go?" 'Dromeda enveloped me in a warm hug.

"It went great, I met a person!" I exclaimed exitedly. Tonks chucked from behind her mother. I glared at her before looking back at Andromeda.

"Did you know I had another godfather?" I asked confused. They both looked just as confused and shook their heads.

"Oh well I do, he's right here!" I gesturedto where Remus was standing. He waved nervously.

"Remus!" Andromeda exclaimed unexpectedly! "You were one of my cousins friends, I remember. You all wend round in a group, you were so cute!" She smiled warmly before adding: "your welcome to stay for dinner if you like dear?"

"Only if it's not too much trouble" Oh Remus, spoken like a true gentleman.

I walked down to meet him and whispered,

"So what's this about you being cute?" He blushed furiously and looked around awkwardly. I laughed.
Andromeda shouted me from the kitchen to come and help set the table. I ran in to help her. All the bad thoughts pushed from my head I sat down at the table to enjoy the lovely meal. And for once I felt like I had a real family, and it was amazing!
