Going back to the common room I thought about the picture on professor Snape's desk. I felt drawn to it and decided that next lesson I would have a quick look when he wasn't looking. I checked the watch on my wrist and saw that it was quarter past 9. I didn't know it was that late so I ran the rest of the way back to the common room.

Just as I stepped in Harry came up to me and dragged me outside and threw an invisibility cloak over us.

"It's an invisibility cloak" He explained misreading my confused look.

"Yes I know but why the bloody hell are we going out?!"

Harry told me that he was visiting Hagrid and he wanted me to come with him. I nodded, it was kind of dark and with,you know, him, about I wasn't surprised.

When we reached Hagrid's we were offered a cup of tea and something to eat. Harry whispered not to take any of Hagrid's rock cakes so I settled for a cup of tea. Before I could drink it though a squawking sound came from outside.

I screamed and Harry clamped his hand over my mouth.

"Ah, I forgot Yeh haven' met beaky properly yet, av' Yeh Ivy?" I shook my head and followed Hagrid outside. We were met by the hippogriff from the care of magical creatures lesson.

I gasped. It was so majestic. Hagrid told me to bow so I did, my hair falling in my eyes. I looked up and saw that the creature was bowing back.

I walked over cautiously. Buckbeak came closer and rested his beak in my outstretched hand. I smiled amazed at the beauty of the thing.

Hagrid asked if I wanted to ride him. At first I wasn't sure but then Harry said that he would ride with me so I agreed.

Hagrid lifted us both up and we were off. I sat in front and Harry held onto my waist.

The ride was amazing. We went all around the towers and down near the lake. Over the forest and part the whomping willow which swung it's branches at us madly.

I laughed crazily. It was so much fun and for once I felt happy just being me for a while.

I let out a scream of joy and I could hear Harry laugh behind me. I was disappointed when we landed. But eventually we did have to go back to the common room.

When we came in Hermione stormed up to us.

"Where have you been?" She yelled.

"Shush, people are sleeping" I looked around carefully.

Hermione sighed. "You could have been hurt."

"No we couldn't we were with Hagrid, right Ivy?"

I nodded. Hermione looked funny when she was angry. The second I thought that I felt bad so I looked up to see what was happening. I saw them both staring at me.

"Umm.." Hermione sighed and stormed back upstairs. Harry suggested that I should just go to bed. I nodded and headed to the dorm, falling asleep the second my head hit the pillow.
