3rd person pov:

Ivy Black stared out of the window as Andromeda prepared dinner. She had been expelled from Beauxbatons when she set the hall on fire accidently.

Whilst Andromeda was cooking Ivy started to think of all the friends she had left behind. There was a loud hoot from outside.

"Open the window would you dear?" Ivy reached up to open the window so Ember, their owl, could deliver the post. There was the daily prophet and a few letters for Nymphadora , or Tonks as she likes to be called. But there was one very odd letter addressed to Ivy. It had a red wax seal on the back and looked very formal.

She walked into the kitchen with the letter in one hand the daily prophet in the other.

" Hello dear, would you get Nymphadora for dinner please?"

" Um... Yeah sure." Ivy didn't mention the letter she would show and open it at dinner. She placed the paper on the table and headed upstairs.

"Tonks... Dinners ready." She heard a scramble and a thud and she laughed to herself. Knowing Tonks she had probably tripped on her own feet or something.  She pushed open the door and had to bite back a laugh as she studied the sight before her. Nymphadora had tripped pulling the bed sheets with her and landed in a tangled mess on the floor with her head and feet poking out of either end of the bundle.

"Wotcher Ivy, can I have some help? Or are you just going to laugh at me?" Ivy bent down and helped her back up.

"Dinners ready." Ivy repeated looking over to where Tonks was putting the covers back on the bed.

"Oh yeah! I forgot about that. Let's go!" And with that the two girls dashed out of the room.

Sitting at the dinner table Ivy watched as the family discussed something. It was when they had fallen silent she spoke up.

"So.. I um.. I got a letter today" She looked down at the letter in her lap before looking back up.

"Did you open it" Ivy shook her head. "Can I see it" Andromeda held her hand out for the letter. Ivy handed it over and waited for a response. Andromeda gasped.

"It's a Hogwarts letter!"

Andromeda handed the letter back over and Ivy tore it open. Two letters fell out and a list of school equipment. She handed the list to Andromeda and started to read.

Dear Ivy,

We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry...

When she had finished reading the first letter she picked up the second.

Ivy,

I have heard of what happened at Beaubatons and would like to offer you a place at Hogwarts. I would like to see you sooner if possible as there ate a few matters I must discuss with you. I do not care who you father is but others might so I do not want you to be upset by anything they might say to you. If you cannot see me before September 1st, wait for me outside the hall after dinner.

I hope to see you soon,

Ivy stared at the letter dumbfounded. She was going to Hogwarts. Tonks had told her so much about it and how wonderful it was and now she was actually going. She handed the second letter over to an expectant Andromeda before looking at the list of items.

"Will we be going to Diagon Ally then?" She asked getting exited. Tonks nodded and smiled at Ivy kindly.

"We will visit Dumbledore first and go to Diagon Ally second. I wonder why he wants to talk to you?" Ivy shrugged. She really didn't know why Dumbledore would want to talk to her. Why would he?

That question was answered a second later by Andromeda who had picked up the news paper.

"Sirius Black has escaped from Askaban!"
