I apologized to Claire for yelling at her. I'm honestly so confused, I mean Im a Vampire. Up until now, I always thought they only existed in books and on the tv screen.

Currently I was laying on my bed ontop of Dakota. Her arms were around my waist and her eyes were closed but she wasnt sleeping. Some how I could hear her heartbeat and it wasnt steady which mean she was awake. We weren't talking and I was fine with that. All I really needed was silence right now. This Vampire thing is stuck running through my head.

Me: Kota?

Her eyes opened and looked into mine.

Dakota: Yeah.

Me: What's your favorite part about being a vampire?

Dakota: Hm. The speed and ability to compel. I can do whatever I want and get away with it.

Me: Sounds cool.

Dakota: That's cause it is cool.

The door bursted open and Claire came in with Ethan and Mia behind her.

Claire: Training time!

Dakota groaned and I looked down at her.

Me: Training? For what?

Dakota: To control yourself.

Me: I can control my self.

Mia: We meant your vampire self.

Me: Oh. Well no. I'm warm and comfortable here.

Ethan: Yeah we can tell.

Me: Why do I need training for my vampire side? It seems easy to control it.

Ethan: Trust me its not.

Me: Besides where would you even teach me? We're in a neighborhood.

Dakota: Woods. We go to the woods. Outside of the city woods.

Me: Hell no. I hate the woods.

Claire: Oh well. Pack hiking equipment. We leave in a hour.

Me: Woah. Hiking!?

She didnt asnwer me cause she left out the room. I looked down at Dakota.

Me: Hiking?

Dakota: When we all train, we go to the woods and spend the night in the woods. We hike through them, the deeper you go the more animals and shit there is.

Me: No no. Im not drinking animal blood. They're too precious.

Dakota: But your fine with drinking human blood?

Me: They're arent as precious as animals.

Dakota: Well that's gonna be a problem.

Me: How?

Dakota: When we hike, only vampires come. We bring a few blood bags but those are for emergencies.

Me: Then compel some humans to tag along so I can feed off of them.

Her eyes opened again and a smirk slowly formed onto her face.

Dakota: I think Im rubbing off on you.

I playfully rolled my eyes.

Me: Oh please. Your a innocent.

She mumbled against my neck.

Dakota: Im a ripper.

Me: What's that?

Dakota: A name given to sadistic vampires who enjoy abusing, dispatching, and mutilating their victims. Basically I enjoy killing and sucking my victims but I've somewhat learned to control it.

I dont know why that turned me on but it did.

Dakota: I can tell that turned you on.

My face flushed as I wondered how.

Dakota: Your arousal.

Me: Did you just turn into a ripper?

Dakota: Im not the only vampire in my family. The first ripper to ever be in my family was my great grandfather. He was a sadistic person before he was turned into a vampire. He became a ripper. I guess the sadistic trait passed down and really engaged in me. Then I became a vampire and voila, I'm a ripper.

Me: Hm. Is your grandfather still alive?

Dakota: Yeah my parents thinks he's dead but he's in Maryland. I see him about twice a month. He's the one who trained me.

Me: Do we age?

Dakota: Nope. Your forever stuck in a 16 year old body and Im forever stuck in a 17 year old body. Just use makeup to make yourself look older.

Me: I hate makeup.

??: I dont so when your supposed to be eighteen we'll make you look like you are.

We looked behind at Claire.

Claire: Could've sworn I said to get dressed. We're taking one car.

Me: How do we all fit in one car.

Claire: Mia drives a Jeep. Much space.

Me: True. Okay.

Dakota: Im gonna go pack. I'll see you later, kay?

I nodded and got off of her so she could get up. She grabbed her keys and phone and walked out of my room. I groaned and laid back on my bed.

Me: What do I even wear?

Claire: Workout gear.

Me: I'm not going to drink animal blood Claire.

Claire: What?

Me: They're so precious and cute. I cant drink their blood.

Claire: But you eat them.

Me: Yeah but I dont have to kill them. Bring some humans. Specifically Amber.

I smiled at her making her playfully roll her eyes.

Claire: Okay I'll make some calls.

I grinned and gave her the biggest hug of all time.

Me: Thanks! I love you!

Claire: Ew yeah okay. I love you too. We've definitely got to control them emotions.

We laughed and she exited my room. I grabbed a duffle bag and packed some spandex shorts and sports bras with a few cover ups. I grabbed bug spray and shoved it in there. I pulled the strings and closed the bag. I looked down and nodded at my outfit which was a pair of workout leggings and a tanktop. I had my regular bra underneath but I had some sports bras in my bag. I grabbed my phone and bag and bounced down the steps. Claire was sitting on the island.

Claire: Mia is on her way. We're gonna pick up Dakota first then Ethan.

Me: Okay and what about the humans?

Claire: Matt drives a pickup. He's going to pick up Amber and some other girls.

Me: Okay then.

There was a honk and we walked outside. Claire locked the door behind us and we got in the Jeep. We threw our bags in the trunk and she pulled off. I listened to my music while they talked.

After 30 minutes everyone was in the Jeep and we were heading to the woods with Matt trailing behind us. Ethan was sitting beside me but I wanted to be beside Kota.

Me: Ethan can we switch spots?

Ethan: Yeah sure.

We quickly switched spots and Dakota wrapped her arm around me. I had turned off my music earlier and was now laying on Dakota's chest.

Me: Hey Mia?

Mia: Yeah?

Me: Can I put my feet out the window? Ive always wanted to but my parents and Claire never let me.

Mia: Yeah sure.

Me: Awesome thanks!

They laughed as I got overly excited. Dakota rolled down the winow and I stuck my legs out.

Me: This feels great.

Ethan: I bet.

Me: Claire, thanks for making some calls so I dont have to hurt the animals.

Claire: Of course.

I laid against Dakota and looked at her as she was looking out the window. She must've felt my gaze cause she looked down at me.

Dakota: What?

Me: Nothing your just really adorable when you grin.

Everybody laughed but I was confused.

Mia: Alex, honey your feeling overly affectionate towards Dakota.

Me: But its the truth.

They laughed again but Dakota kissed my hair.

Dakota: Thanks babygirl.

I closed my eyes decided to sleep until we got to the woods.
