Sp #1: Giving is Better than Receiving (Christmas)

THIS IS NOT A CHAPTER! THIS IS A SPECIAL. THIS DOES NOT GO WITH THE STORY LINE!

Emiko's POV

I smiled at my reflection as I twirled around to admire my appearance. I was currently wearing a red silk dress that was tight around my torso and flowed down loosely to just above my knees. The dress had long, puffy sleeves, that tightened around my wrist. I wore a red poncho to match my dress. It had a fluffy embroidery along the edge of it and a fluffy collar. The poncho closed up using a white ribbon with two pompoms on the ends.I was wearing knee high white socks, black doll shoes, white silk gloves on my hands, and a red Santa hat on my head. My hair was out of their usual pigtails and flowed down my back.

Smiling, I gave one more twirl and ran downstairs. I stopped at the top of the stairwell where I could hear the chattering of my friends. I grinned and slid down the banister while holding onto my hat. At the end, I flipped off and bounded into the living room. There I saw all of my friends. The rookie nine were here along with their senseis, and team Gai were all sitting and talking amongst themselves. Sadly, the Hokage was too busy and couldn't make it.

"Merry Christmas minna!" I shouted gleefully.

"Merry Christmas Emiko!" Everyone shouted back.

I grinned again and jumped onto Kakashi's lap. I heard him chuckle as he wrapped his arms around my waist.

"Let's open the presents!" Naruto yelled eagerly.

"Matte Naruto, we still have to hand out the gifts." Sakura scolded.

Naruto pouted but nodded non-the less.

I jumped out of Kakashi's lap and ran back upstairs where I kept all the gifts I made. Yes, I made all the gifts I'm giving away. I believe that a gift made by ones self is a true gift from the heart. Of course, I locked them in the chest that was at the foot if my bed since a certain silver haired jounin couldn't help but try and take a peek. As I stood in front of the chest, I undid the seals that I placed on it for safekeeping. Once the last seal was undone, I opened the chest with the key that was securely around my neck. I giggled when I saw all the presents.

Grabbing a scroll, I placed all of the presents in it since there was quite a lot. Smiling, I ran back downstairs and plopped down on Shikamaru's lap.

"Okay, since everyone is here now, lets hand out the presents." Sakura said.

Everyone nodded and quickly walked around the room handing out the presents, eager to open their own. I just sat quietly wanting to give their presents separately. When everyone was done, we all returned to our places with piles of gifts in front of us.

I stared at the pile of gifts that was on front of me. I wondered which one I should open first. Then I saw a small silver box with a blue ribbon on it. I reached for it and opened it up. Inside was a silver chain with a charm on it. The charm was a red kanji symbol for fire. Grinning I proceeded to open the rest. It seemed that everyone got me a charm for my bracelet and others also got me another present with the charm.

This is what everyone got me.

Kakashi - a scroll on lightning and fire Justus and a blue lightning bolt

Sakura - a white kimono with pink sakura petals dancing across the bottom and a pink sakura petal charm.

Sasuke - a kimono that used to be my mother's at my age and an Uchiha crest charm.

Naruto - ramen coupons for Ichiraku and a fox charm

Asuma - some kunai and shuriken and a triangular charm with the twelve-guardian symbol on it.

Ino - a violet kimono with a pastel green obi and a violet flower charm.

Shikamaru - a stuffed sloth and a cloud charm.

Choji - coupons to Yakiniku BBQ and a red swirly charm.

Kurenai - book on advanced genjutsus and a red gem charm. (The gem was the same shade as her eyes.)

Hinata - a box full of useful medicines and healing herbs and a baby fawn charm.

Shino - red amber stone charm with one of his bugs in it.

Kiba - a red silhouette of a dog

Gai - leg weights (100 pounds for each leg) and a sparkle charm (He said that it represents youth).

Tenten - weapons and a shuriken charm.

Neji - a book on Dōjutsus and a lilac gemstone that looked similar to the Byakugan.

Lee - orange leg warmers and a similar charm to Gai's but smaller.

Since grandpa Hokage couldn't make it, Asuma brought me the gift the was going to give me. From the Hokage I got a silver locket that was shaped into a heart. On the locket was the Uchiha crest. It was a beautiful present but when I opened it, I began to cry. It seemed, that when my mother passed on, she gave her necklace to the Hokage and told him to give it to someone who was very dear to her heart. That necklace was the one I was currently wearing. Inside the necklace was a picture of my mama, papa and I when we were all together. When I thought of Papa, and image of him suddenly replaced the other one. A note in the box said that my mother casted a memory jutsu on it so that any memory or thought I wanted to see will appear on the necklace. Grandpa Hokage also got me a charm of the Konoha symbol.

When I placed all the charms on the chain, it was already half full. I smiled and grinned at everyone through my tears.

"A-arigatō minna." I thanked.

Everyone smiled at me and gave me a hug. When everyone was done, they all sat in their seats. I took out my scroll that held all their presents and they stared at me questionably.

"Did you really think I wouldn't give you guys a present?" I questioned with a grin.

"You don't have to give us presents Emiko. You being here is enough." Kurenai said.

"Don't worry Kurenai-oba. I love giving presents on Christmas. It's one of my favourite holidays. A time of giving, not receiving. I grew up learning that one should not just repay another in equal value but surpass that value because even the littlest of efforts can warm a person's heart." I said.

Everyone stared at me speechless and smiled at me.

"You never stop surprising me, Emiko-chan." Kakashi said shaking his head.

"What can I say, I love surprises, especially when I'm the one giving them." I giggled.

From my scroll, I summoned a silver gift with a light blue ribbon. Walking towards Kakashi, I handed it to him with a smile.

Kakashi stared at me with a raised eyebrow and took the gift from my hands. He carefully opened it and when he did his eyes sparkled and I was pulled into a bone-crushing hug.

"Thank you thank you!!! Where did you get this? It's a special edition and only 50 copies of this were released?" Kakashi-oji asked.

"Well, before I came to Konoha, one of the members of the Akatsuki would always read these kinds of books. He had about 10 copies of this one and didn't mind that I took one." I said sheepishly.

"What did you get Kakashi-sensei?" Naruto asked.

"The special gold edition of Icha Icha Paradise." Kakashi said dreamily.

Everyone in the room sweat dropped.

I laughed and walked in front of Sasuke. I summoned a black present with a red ribbon and handed it to him. Like Kakashi he opened it carefully. When he opened it, he smirked and ruffled my hair.

"Thanks for the Katana, Emi-chan." Sasuke thanked.

The katana was an heirloom of the Uchiha clan that would be given to the next head. It was encased in a black sheathe and had the Uchiha crest on the hilt.

I smiled and gave everyone else his or her gift.

Naruto - kunai resembled the ones the 4th Hokage used to use and a stuffed fox

Sakura - scrolls on medical ninjutsus that I wrote, and a picture of Sasuke-oji when he was a kid and smiling. (She squealed almost causing my eardrums to burst)

Asuma - a package of cigars that wouldn't affect the body in anyway but besides that was the same as regular cigars.

Ino - a make up kit that helped keep skin healthy and clean and a picture of Sasuke-oji shirtless (this made her squeal like a banshee)

Shika - a shoji board I carved and painted (I heard him complaining that his old one had some lost pieces and was chipped).

Choji - I cooked him some healthy but tasty food

Kurenai - a red silk dress that hugged her body and was held with one strap for her dates with Asuma. (She blushed while Asuma smirked)

Shino - special chakra pills that also helps his bugs

Kiba - a new jacket with hidden compartments for weapons and such

Akamaru - a new collar with the Inuzuka and Konoha symbol on it.

Gai - leg weights with the engravings "youth" on it

Tenten - a scroll filled with weapons

Neji - a scroll filled with advanced moves of the Hyuga clan that I made myself after a lot of analyzing and research (He was very impressed and even ruffled my hair with a genuine smile on his face).

Lee - same thing as Gai

When every one was done I summoned one more present that was wrapped in yellow paper and blue ribbon. I walked to Hinata who was sitting beside Naruto and handed it to her. Hinata blushed, knowing I wrapped her present like this for a reason, and began to open her present. When she opened it a poof of smoke appeared showing an empty box. She stared at me questionably while I pointed above her head.

She looked up and blushed. Above her head was a mistletoe, which both Naruto and Hinata were currently under. Naruto blushed along with Hinata and turned to her. Ever so slowly he leaned in and gave Hinata a soft kiss on the lips.

"Get a room!" Kiba yelled.

The guys in the room all wolf whistled while the girls cheered.

Grinning at my work, I jumped into Kakashi's lap who was smirking. Everyone in the room was smiling, giving wolf whistles, clapping and grinning. When the kiss was done, Hinata was as red as a tomato and fainted.... Into a red Naruto's arms.

"That was an awesome present Emiko. Good job." Kiba praised.

Everyone cheered in agreement.

Smiling I jumped out of Kakashi's lap and went to the front door.

"Where are you heading to Emiko-chan?" Kakashi asked.

"Just going to make a couple deliveries." I said as I walked outside.

Time skip - 3 hours

As I entered the house, I didn't hear a thing. All was quiet. When I entered the living room I sweat dropped. Everyone was either passed out on the floor or was passed out on random furniture. I sighed when I saw the bottles of beer on the coffee table. Shaking my head I cleaned everything up and headed off to bed.

Baka senseis, letting underaged kids drink.

When I jumped into bed, I felt a couple of bumps under the blankets. Narrowing my eyes, I pealed off the covers from my bed to find a pile of gifts. I grinned when I saw that they were all addressed to me and was from the Akatsuki. I smiled and opened up all the gifts. Like my friends, the Akatsuki gave me charms and some gave me something extra.

Papa - a bracelet that used to belong to my mother and a Sharingan charm that showed the level of my Sharingan. The bracelet matched the necklace that the Hokage gave me.

Kanon - a red kimono with a black obi and a paper flower charm.

Pein - a scroll on s rank Amegakure Justus and a Rinnegan charm.

Kisame - a fish charm holding a mini sword.

Deidara - a bag of explosive clay and a clay bird charm.

Sasori - a mini puppet that I can enlarge for battle and a puppet charm.

Hidan - a charm of Jashin-sama.

Kakuzu - a black heart charm with stitches all over it.

Tobi - an orange charm that resembled his mask.

Zetsu - a plant charm.

I smiled as I clipped all the charms on my charm bracelet. It made a jingling sound whenever I moved my wrist. I laid in bed and stared at the different charms on my bracelet. Soon enough, I fell into a deep sleep.

Merry Christmas Mama, Papa, minna.

Third person POV

As the Hokage was working, he saw a small box on the corner of his desk. He raised an eyebrow as he read who it was from. Chuckling slightly, the Hokage opened the box showing a photo album of him and his students. His eyes widened as he looked at the memories that were stored in the album.

At the village gates, two guards were asleep and lazily got up as they felt something poking them. When their eyes opened they saw a hawk with two presents in its beak addressed to them. They both stared at each other until one reached for a package. The other followed the first's example. When they retrieved the packages the hawk flew away. Carefully, the two guards opened the gifts and smiled when they saw its contents. The spiky haired shinobi got a dark blue chakra necklace that held a small blue flame in it that changed shapes and was held on a silver chain. The other shinobi had a gift similar to the spiky haired one except it was red and was held on a gold chain. The two slipped their gifts on and grinned at each other.

The Akatsuki were surprised when they all saw a present on their bed when they returned from their missions. Each got a present that they held to their hearts. A certain ravenette smiled widely which was a expression that was rarely seen. He held a picture of his beloved daughter smiling with old friends of his and his brother from the village he protected. Smiling contentedly he held the photo to his chest.

In Konoha, Villagers and shinobi alike were surprised when they found a present somewhere addressed to them. They all smiled and felt a warm feeling in their hearts when they opened their gifts for they knew that the gifts they were given came from the heart of a certain little girl.

All these people had one thought on mind.

Thank you, and Merry Christmas... Emiko.
