Kou: It's all right. So I know you didn't call me just to ask who I am, so what do you want?

Me: *laughs* Guess you caught me. I need you to say the disclaimer.

Kou: Sure thing Yume, n1ght_dr34m3r does not own Naruto, the plot, or any of the characters besides Ko-chan, me, Ko-chan mom, and all the other OC mentioned in this fanfic. Yume owns all the plot changes as well and some new jutsus that are mentioned.

Me: Thank you Kou.

Kou: No prob. I must go before Ko-chan sees that I'm gone. Bye! *waves*

Emiko's POV

I sat on a tree branch swinging my legs under me. I sighed gazing at the sky as I remembered the dream I had last night. It's been about 2 years since the Ryuu Clan massacre. No one knows who did it except for Kou. Though we're very close friends, he won't tell me anything in fear that I may stray off into the path of revenge. Kou's smart and knows that even if he did tell me I wouldn't resolve to revenge, but he does know that if we ever come in contact with the clan murderer, he won't be able to hold me back from severely hurting said person. 

I yelped as I fell back on the branch from the sound of the intercom coming on. Using my fast reflexes I sent chakra to my feet allowing me to hang upside down on the branch. Quickly I reached out and grabbed Kou before he hit the ground. Releasing a relieved breath, I let the chakra weaken and flipped as I landed on the ground like a cat. Standing straight, I walked over to a small clearing and crouched behind a bush as I spotted our target.

I continued to watch the target as I saw everyone take position through my peripheral view. At the moment I had moved my position to hide in a high branch above my old position. Naruto was watching from a tree as well, while Sasuke and Sasuke were hidden behind some trees. I heard a buzzing sound coming from the intercom giving the signal that our mission was about to begin.

Placing a hand on the intercom I listened as the rest of the team called in.

"Where are your positions?" I heard Kakashi say through the earpiece.

"Sasuke, point B."

"This is Sakura, arrived at point C."

"Emiko, at point D." I called in.

There was a moment of silence until Naruto finally responded.

"This is Naruto, I'm at point A."

"You're slow, Naruto," Kakashi said in his usual bored tone, "Okay Team 7... hm... The target has moved! After it!"

We all ran forward chasing after the target. The team hid behind the trees that surrounded the victim. He was in clear view.

"What is the distance from the target?" Kakashi asked.

"Five meters. I'm ready to go." I heard Naruto.

"I am too." Sasuke.

"Me too." Sakura.

"Ready when you are." I replied.

We were all in position waiting for Kakashi's order.

"Okay," Kakashi started, "Go!"

I launched forward and saw the others did the same from different angles. We had the target trapped. He let out a furious hiss but was otherwise frozen with fear.

"I got you!" Naruto said grabbing the tabby cat.

It let out another hiss and swiped at Naruto's face.

"Is there a ribbon on the left ear?" Kakashi asked through the intercom, "Are you sure this is the target, Tora?"

"It's the target for sure." Sasuke replied.

"Good. 'Operation Capture Tora the Lost Pet' complete."

I watched as the cat pulverized Naruto.

"Naru-kun, you're holding the kitty wrong."

I walked forward towards Naruto and almost immediately; Tora stopped swiping and turned in my direction. Tora jumped out of Naruto's hold and into my arms. Tora began purring and snuggling under my neck. I giggled as Tora's fur tickled my skin. I heard Sakura awing at the sight.

"ISN'T THERE A MORE EXCITING MISSION WE CAN WORK ON?!" Naruto yelled though the intercom.

I winced and took off the intercom at lightning speed. I threw it on the ground and smashed it with my foot. Naruto's yelled affected me the most, since my sense have been enhanced when I trained back at the Akatsuki and when the imperial dragons made me their host.

"NARUTO YOU BAKA! DON'T YELL THOUGH THE INTERCOM!" Sakura yelled as she hit Naruto on the head.

"Saku-nee you know that's hypocrisy right? You told Naru-kun not to yell when you're doing it yourself." I said.

Sakura blushed at my comment. We re-grouped and headed back to the Hokage's office.

I handed the poor cat Tora back to its loving owner, the wife of the Country of Fire's Feudal Lord, Madam Shijimi. I stared sadly as she squished the poor cat. No wonder Tora ran away.

"Oh my cute little Tora-chan!" Madam Shijimi cooed, "I was so worried about you!"

"That cat's getting what he deserves." I heard Naruto mutter.

"Naru-kun, I don't think anyone deserves that." I whispered.

"No wonder he ran away..." Sakura muttered.

Madam Shijimi smiled at my team but when her gaze landed on me her eyes grew hearts. My eyes widened as she tackled me into a hug.

"Oh what a cutie you are! You're just as cute as my little Tora!" She complimented, I think, as she hugged me like she was previously doing to Tora.

My team stared worriedly at me as my face turned a bit blue. I couldn't breathe!

This woman is going to kill me!

"Hokage-sama, if I ever need any help please just get this little angel to do it." Madam Shijimi smiled as she let me go.

I fell on my butt and gasped for air as she left. Sasuke helped me up as I continued to catch my breath.

"Grandpa, are you really going to make me work for her whenever she needs it?" I asked scared for my life.

The Hokage chuckled at my expression and shook his head. I sighed in relief and ran towards him. He picked me up and placed me on his lap. I smiled up at him and grabbed his hat and placed it on my head like when we first met. The Hokage turned to my team as he read a list of D ranked missions.

"Now then, Team 7's next mission is baby sitting Yojyu-sama's boy, grocery shopping at the neighbouring town, helping dig up potatoes at..." Naruto suddenly interrupted Hokage-sama.

"No!" Naruto yelled making an X with his arms, "No Thanks to all of those! I want to do a more exciting mission! Choose something else!"

I sighed as I expected this to happen. From the team's expressions they probably thought the same.

"Idiot!" Iruka yelled as he stood up, "You're still a novice ninja! Everyone needs to start with the easy missions to gain experience!"

I tilted my head to the side, "But Ruka sensei, how can we gain experience of all we do are basic chores that non-shinobi's could do?"

"Yeah! Emi-chan's right! And all we've been doing are these dumb mission lately!" Naruto was cut off when Kakashi punched him on the head, causing Naruto to face plant.

I winced feeling sorry for Naruto.

"Cut it out." Kakashi said bored as ever.

"Naruto," Hokage-sama started, "It looks like I need to explain to you what mission are. Listen, a lot of clients come to this village everyday. They request things from baby sitting to assassinations. On the request list, a variety of requests are listed on it and they are separated into ranks A, B, C, and D according to difficulty. In this village, we separate the people into Jounin, Chunin, and Genin according to their abilities. And if we complete the missions, we receive a fee from the client. You have all become Genin just recently, so D ranked missions are best for you. Hm?"

I giggled at the sight of the others. They weren't even paying attention to Hokage-sama. Instead, they were paying attention to Naruto who was talking about what ramen he had yesterday and the ramen he was going to have today.

Hokage-sama grew an anime vein, "Listen!"

"I am sorry." Kakashi said sheepishly as he rubbed the nape of his neck.

"You always lecture me like that, pops," Naruto said, "But I'm not the kid who used to pull pranks anymore!"

Naruto pouted as he turned away from Hokage-sama. I giggled at his childish antics. Turning to Iruka I saw some staring at Naruto before smiling. Looking up I saw that Hokage-sama had taken the hat off my head and put it on his own. His head was bowed but from my position on his lap I could see the smile on his face as well. I gave my own smile. The two were very fond of Naruto.

"Okay, I understand," The three genin looked up at Hokage surprised, "If you insist, I will allow you to take on a C ranked mission. It is to escort a certain person."

I smiled at the Hokage as the other three continued to stare at him in shock. Of course Kakashi just looked bored as ever.

"Really?" Naruto asked excitedly, "Who? Who? The feudal lord? Or a princess?"

I sweat dropped. This is a C rank. If we were escorting the feudal lord or a princess it would be a B or A rank mission. Maybe even an S rank.

"Don't get so hasty. I'll introduce him right now. Can you please come in now?" Hokage-sama said.

I jumped out of Hokage-sama's lap and ran to my team's side. My team turned around as the door slid open. When it was fully open it displayed a man with a backpack on and basic villager clothing that was much different from those used by the villagers here in Konoha. From the style I guess that this man is from the Land of Water or somewhere similar. 

Why is a villager of the Land in Water all the way here in the Land of Fire, much less Konoha? He certainly doesn't look like a merchant.

The man took a swig of his drink and stared at us in confusion.

"What? They're all kids!" The unidentified man said.

He took another gulp of his sake and leaned against the doorframe with a hint of blush on his cheeks. From the smell he was most likely drunk. I covered my nose, as I smelled the alcohol drifting through the room.

"Hey, the shorty there, is he really a ninja?" Asked the client.

Naruto began laughing and looked at the rest of us, "Who's the shortest one?"

Magically, we ended up in a line. Sasuke was the tallest, then Sakura, then Naruto, and lastly me. But it made sense since I was the youngest.

"Hey Sasuke, are you really going to let that guy call Emi-chan an idiot?" Naruto yelled as he pointed at our client.

"Dope, Hime-chan is not an idiot, plus she's four years younger than us. That's why she's the shortest. Plus the man said 'he' not 'she', baka." Sasuke stated.

We watched as Naruto let the information sink in. When it finally did, he launched at the client with his fists ready.

"I'm going to kill you!" Naruto yelled.

Kakashi caught Naruto in mid air, but Naruto continued to struggle out of his grasps.

"Don't kill the man you're supposed to escort, idiot." Kakashi scolded.

"And what about the little girl, she can't possibly be a ninja. She looks as if she couldn't even hurt a fly," everyone went silent as they heard the man's comment.

Everyone in the room turned in my direction to see my reaction, but their eyes widened as they saw that I was no longer in my place.

"Client-san, I suggest you don't go off insulting people like that. It might just end you." I whispered to the client from behind him.

Everyone turned around with widened eyes as they saw where I was. They didn't see or hear any movement coming from me. The client jumped surprised as I whispered to him. He turned around only to see me smiling innocently at him. I walked towards my team but stopped midway and turned my head with a smile on.

"Oh and Client-san, I hate liars."  I saw the man's eyes widen as he stared at me, clarifying my suspicions.

I walked back to my team smiling innocently at them. They stared at me questionably including Kakashi, Iruka, and Hokage-sama, but I ignored their stares.

The client cleared his throat after regaining his composure. After taking another sip from his sake he introduced himself.

"I am the bridge building expert from the Land of Waves, Tazuna. Once I have returned to my country, I will have all of you protect my life with yours while I complete the bridge."

I nodded understanding how this mission with go, "Your wish is our order. As shinobi we will fulfill this mission wit the best of our abilities."

Tazuna nodded at me hesitantly. I already knew that this wasn't a regular C rank mission. It might be a B or even and A rank mission. I've been to the land of waves before with Papa's partner Kisame who I call Fishi-oji. It was a sad and poor country. Not many people lived with food to support their family. But I understand why Tazuna lied. The Land of Waves can't afford a B or an A rank mission.

I waved at the others as I transported with Kakashi back to the house and ran to my room to pack for the trip. Since this mission isn't a C rank I should be prepared for any attack. I changed the training kimono I was wearing with a suitable outfit for the mission. I need to be able to move since there is a likely chance that we'll be fighting against Jounin level shinobi or higher. I can fight in the training kimono but it still constricts my movements a bit. 

Looking through my closet I grabbed a new outfit and put it on. The new outfit was one that I got with Sakura and Ino back when it was my 9th birthday. The store clerk gave me it when she saw that I was part of the Uchiha clan. Apparently, the store used to sell clothes for the clan before the massacre. The outfit consisted of a long-sleeved navy blue blouse with a high collar and white fasteners and edges with the Uchiha Crest on the back. (A/N Think of Tenten's shirt in Shipudden) Underneath was a netted tank top and off-white shorts that stopped at my mid thigh. The sleeves reached up to the tips of my fingers and I adjusted it so when I slicked my wrist, the hidden knifes I placed would land in my hand. Holding a black ribbon in my mouth, I grabbed all my hair together on the top of my head before tying it using the ribbon into a high ponytail. Making sure the ribbon was tight I placed my hatai-ate on my forehead and brushed my loose bangs over it.

Walking over to my desk, I placed kunai, shuriken, paper bombs, string, senbon needles, poison and 10 of my special kunai into two weapon pouches. I placed one weapons pouch on my left thigh and the other on my right. I divided my weapons in each so if I'm not able to use one of my hands I'll still be able to grab a weapon without being caught be the enemy. Good thing I'm both left and right handed. Then I took another pouch that held all my medical supplies and antidotes and strapped it around my waist. Going over to my bed, I bent down and grabbed the twin katanas that I had bought when I first came to Konoha and named Hi and Yoru. 

A/N they are the katanas she used against Kakashi in the bell test if you have forgotten.

As I grabbed the two katanas I couldn't help but stare at the other three katanas that were kept safe under my bed. I smiled sadly at the memories they brought up and sighed as I slid them out from under the bed. One katana was from Papa that I got on my birthday when I was still in the Akatsuki. The other two katanas were twin katanas like Hi and Yoru but on each katana was a dragon. Though the Hi and Yoru still allowed me to release jutsus I learned from the Ryuu clan, these katanas let me use my abilities to their full potential. They were after all, created specifically for me, the host of the imperial dragons. Before the Ryuu clan massacre, Lord Akihiro gave them to me.

I stared sadly at the three katanas before sliding them back under the bed. Grabbing Hi and Yoru, I slid them into the straps I added to the back of my medical pouch. Making sure they were secure I grabbed a scroll off my bed that held my extra clothing, food, water, and extra weapons and slid them into a round pouch that was right under the straps for my katanas. Looking in the mirror I smiled and turned making sure everything was secured. Now my katanas were strapped vertically with the hilts on opposite sides of me, giving me easy access to them. The scroll was also placed vertically right under my katanas.

Before leaving my room I slipped on some leg warmers that covered my calves and grabbed Kou-kun. My leg warmers actually hid some weights that restrict my speed a bit. I want to make sure that I don't go overboard if we actually do cross anyone on our way to the Land of Waves. Making sure I had everything, I slipped on my sandals, locked the door after noticing Kakashi had already left, and ran to the village gates where my team should be waiting.

As I ran towards the gates, I couldn't help but feel excited for the mission. This will be my first time leaving the village since I got here. I can't wait.

Hey guys! So how was the chapter? I know I'm late.... but I have a reason. So I had this thing.... *sweating bullets* OKAY! STOP WITH THE GLARES! THEY BURN! I'm sorry! I was just really lazy! My sleeping sched is messed up since the holidays and now I'm just doing things at night.   I'm 14 okay! I have a life too! Maybe I don't. Bleh. Anyway, I'm already working on the next chapter so I may post in 2 days or not. But you will get an update before the end of the holidays. So you all know the drill.
