Angelica Ross has never been one to be told what to do. She's the boss of her own world and even though she has no social status, you would think otherwise if you laid eyes upon her. She has no one to thank but herself for the way she acts and she likes it that way. She is overly independent and that has caused her to be labeled as a bitch and selfish, but she could care less.

Yet one day that all changes when she interviews for a job and meets someone who is the complete same as her, Derek Watts.

Both are playing the game cat and mouse but they are too stubborn to make the first move. Both fear the committment and idea of depending on someone other than themselves, but what they don't expect is the universe to challenge them.

But this challenge is life-threatening and almost costs the life of Angelica and it shows Derek that he must push his pride to the side and allow himself to be vulnerable once again.

However it's too late because Angelica's memories has been tainted and erased. Causing him to find himself being furious at the world for taking his angel away but he also blames himself for acting like a coward and not taking the chance that he should have.

Now while Angelica is in the hospital recovering from memory lost, he is on a journey of his own to discover why he can not love like other young and older people do.

The song by Bruno Mars, It Will Rain soon plays out of the blue, and he is shocked because that was the same song that was playing before the accident.

It seems as if the song follows him everywhere after the day his angel left him and he has been spending countless nights trying to decipher what it means.

But what he doesn't know is that the song will lead him back to her, but this time, his life will change again, forever.
