~Y/N POV~

I've got to say Jihyun playing the park today certainly tired him out and once we got home I tried to keep him awake so I could make him his dinner.

I almost failed but Mia arrived as promised but she came with food and so Jihyun ate until his tummy was full. He had his bath and was settled in bed. He had a busy day and loved seeing everyone which makes me thinks maybe Jin watching Jihyun with Jungkook might not be a bad idea.

But something Jin said about Hobi made me think about him all day. I still have his number, I saved it onto my new phone too. I wasn't fully ready to let go of it just yet and I had been battling with myself all day about it.

"Okay what's up with you? Your wheels have been turning all evening." Mia

She pats my leg as she sits down next to me and places her cup on the coffee table.

"Well as you already know Jihyun had seen Jungkook today."

She nods silently since it's true. It's all Jihyun has been talking about all evening since we got home.

"Jin was there, with Taehyung and Jimin too. Jin was telling me that I should talk to Hobi. Get his side to why he kept such a thing from me."

"That's up to you Y/n. Jin has been telling me the same thing but I don't want to talk to him until you've spoken to him and that the two of you are okay." Mia

I frowned to look at her, serious face.

"Why? He hasn't done anything to you."

She nods at the fact.

"I know he hasn't but I'm still not over the fact he disappeared for four years and now to find out he kept this massive secret that hurt you and he knew full well what happened to you. Friends don't do that." Mia

She has a point but I wouldn't ask her to stop talking to him for me. But if that's her choice then I have to respect that.

"Okay then, thank you."

"But if you want to speak to him, that's up to you. In fact maybe it's a turn in the right direction to patching things up with him." Mia

I nod again at her and took my phone out my back pocket.

"I still have his number. I saved it into the new phone."

I stared down at my mobile in my hands and started flicking through my contacts until I found his name.

"Are you going to call or text him?" Mia

"I want to call him. I prefer to speak over the phone than text but if he doesn't pick up I'll text him."

"Okay." Mia

She sits back on the sofa and folds her arms over her chest while I click on his name and listen to the phone ring a few times until he answers the phone.

"Hello?"

"Hi, Hobi. It's me, y/n."

There was a pause before he spoke.

"Hi y/n. How are you?" Hobi

I sighed in relief, for a moment there I thought he would hang up on me.

"I'm okay thank you. How are you?"

"I could do better. How's Jihyun?" Hobi

"He's doing great thanks for asking. He's in a lot better mood after he seen Jungkook this afternoon."

I heard him chuckle on the other line and I felt more relaxed in talking to him more.

"I know. Jungkook spoke about it earlier when I saw him." Hobi

That's when I remembered what I truly called him about.

"Look y/n I'm really sorry ab-" Hobi

I cut him off to speak over him.

"Can we meet up to talk please? Anytime your free?"

"Oh sure. Erm, what about tomorrow? At lunch? Or is that too soon?" Hobi

"No, no tomorrow is fine thank you. The cafe just down the street from your work? 1pm?"

"Yes I'll be there. I promise." Hobi

I smiled at his words.

"Thank you. I'll see you tomorrow Hobi."

"I'll see you tomorrow y/n." Hobi

"Bye!"

"Bye y/n." Hobi

The call ended and I couldn't help the smile on my face. I knew it would be a serious talk between the two of us but I loved hearing his voice again just like I did when I saw him in at work after four years of him being gone.

"So that went well?" Mia

I nod and place my phone down on the table.

"Yep. We're meeting tomorrow for lunch. My emotions are all over the place right now but I want to fix some things with Hobi first."

"Okay well I hope it all goes well for you and then I can give him a smack across the face before giving him and hug." Mia

I laughed at her words but then remembered something else I needed to discuss with her.

"Did Jin text you at all today?"

She cocked an eyebrow at me, eyeing me suspiciously.

"Yes why?" Mia

"I know you two have been texting back a forth. He told me and there's nothing wrong with it but did he perhaps tell you anything else today like if he say me at the park and what we talked about?"

She shook her head.

"No, not really. Just that he saw you and Jihyun at the park and that Jungkook was there too. So yes, I already knew before he spilled the beans." Mia

We laughed together thinking back about the excited little boy all evening before getting tired.

"But other than that no, he didn't say anything else, why?" Mia

"Well I asked him if he would super vise the visits with Jihyun and jungkook. Those two clearly have a bond together and Jihyun adores Jungkook as much as I hate the fact but as long as Jin is there to watch then I'm more comfortable with the visits."

She pauses, like she's processing what I just told her before nodding.

"I would trust Jin around Jihyun and Jungkook. When I watched how Jungkook blew up the way he did Jin handled him very well before the others interrupted and helped out. So yeah, Jin would be the best way to go." Mia

She smiled at me. I've noticed every time you mention the name Jin she lights up and even has a sparkle in her eye.

"I already know. I the park I did a little test and left him to watch Jihyun with Jungkook for me while I got him ice cream and things seemed to have gone down well."

"See! I told you! He's a very good man!" Mia

It's time to tease her. I narrow my gaze at her and she drops the smile with a frown.

"What?" Mia

"Jin huh?"

I wiggle my eyebrows at her and she scoffs playfully with a grin and pushed my shoulder gently to the side.

"Oh stop it. We're friends." Mia

"You can't fool me mia. You like him, no, no, better yet you love him."

She rapidly shakes her head but I can see right through it.

"No, no I don't." Mia

"Yes you do."

I poke at her shoulder and she swats me away, slapping my hand.

"Get off me, I don't love him." Mia

I roll my eyes and pick up my phone again to look for jins number.

"How about we call him. I have his number too you know and you could tell him your undying love for him."

She widens her eyes in panic and leaps over the table to myself now standing with my phone in hand. She try's to grab it but I'm quicker.

"No you can't tell him!!" Mia

"Aha!! You do love him!! Mia I can see right through you."

I laughed but she just hugged to then walk back to the sofa and flop down to the sofa.

" please don't tell him. We're taking things slow." Mia

I put down my phone on the table to sit next to her.

"I won't but I'm happy you found someone you really like. You too got on so well in school."

She nods with her head low.

"Yeah. I was in love with him in school too. He's a really amazing guy y/n." Mia

Her eyes beam bright at me with a genuine smile and I couldn't help but pull her in for a hug.

"I'm sure he is. Hopefully it all goes well for the two of you."

I pat her back and she chuckled at my words.

"I hope so too." Mia

We stayed like that hugging for a few more minutes talking about work or Jihyun in his cute ways. Despite Jihyun showing now visable signs he's related to Jungkook with how he eats and how he walks and sometimes the expressions he pulls on his face, he's still my little boy that I love dearly to my heart. No matter who his father is.
