In the hospital....

Naina's POV

I woke up with a throbbing pain in my head, what is this place...? I looked around and realized that I am in a hospital, My head is bandaged, there's an oxygen mask is around my mouth and numerous needles pricked on my hand connected with heavy machines and the glucose bottle...

What the hell, I don't think I was hurt this much... This is weird.. 

What happened to those men, who brought me here ?

Ouch my head...

I was about to get up just then a Nurse entered my room, she smiled at me....

'So finally you're awake sweety...' she said and checked by temperature and vitals...

'Your family members are worried let me inform them..' She smiled and was about to leave..

'Excuse Me...' I grab her hand, 'Who bought me here..? How long I've been unconscious...?' I shoot questions at her..

She smiled.. 'You are fine, beta, you were just sleeping from last 15 hours...Your family and friends are very tensed especially your Mom, Let me inform her...' she patted my back and left the room

15 hours...!! What the hell... But.. Why, What happened...? Why so much syringes are connected to me... I want my mommy....

The door again clicked open, and my mother rushed in, she smiled looking at me, her eyes all red and she looked tired..

'Naina.. my child..' she cried and showered my face with kisses..

'Ohh Thank you god.. My child is okay now...You scared us beta...' She was crying

'I'm fine Maa... See.. Please don't cry...'

She smiled admist the tears,

'Maa, What happened to me ? What is all this...?' I pointed at machine and syringes pricked at my hand and as I lifted my hands a pain shot at my hands.. 

'Ouchh...' I whimper

'Naina...' Mom panicked 'Don't lift your hand beta.. ' She says and I nod..

'These are nothing... don't worry...' 

'But Maa 15 hours ? Was I unconscious for 15 hours ? Why...'  She was about to say something, just then door opened again..

Doctor enters the room with My Dad & Thapar uncle 'Are you okay Princess...?' My father asked caressing my hair..

'I'm okay Papaji..' I replied

'See Harsh... She's fine... Our Naina is a strong girl, Aren't you beta..?' Thapar uncle smiled

'Yes I am uncle...!' I cheered and hi fied him.. 

Doctor checked my vitals and asked.. 'Is your head still hurting Naina...?'

'Yes...' I winced as it was paining..

He nods and looks at the papers again and then adjusted something on the machines

'Tell me what happened..' He asked

I told him everything I could remember, he nods and asked few questions in between and I answered them..

'So you are saying that he injected something in your body using the syringe...?' He frowned and I nodded yes 

He smiled at me and asked my parents to follow him outside, Thapar uncle joined them too...

Arjun's POV...

I got a call from dad that Naina has gained consciousness, I call Abhi bhai and we leave for the hospital..

Yesterday me and my brothers were returning from dad's office, when we saw an extremely panicked Radhika roaming helplessly, searching for someone, spotting us she came running and narrated the whole incident about their encounter with those shady men and we were scared...

The nerve of this girl...isn't she scared of anyone... God knows what they would've done to her by now...

We ran towards the spot but couldn't find Naina there, so we split into groups to find her..

God please keep her safe...

As I was searching for her, I saw her running towards my direction and the two men followed her, my blood boiled seeing those men

I wanted to beat the hell out of them, when I saw her losing her balance and collapsing, I don't know how, but I managed to run and prevent her from falling flat over her face

When she looked at me, she looked relieved, her face was red and she looked like she'll pass out anytime, My heart paced seeing her like that, she wanted to say something but couldn't...

When I asked how was she, In reply she hugged me as her life depended on it, I was numb for a moment, I could feel her beating heart, and I had goosebumps all over...

She is the only girl having such effect on me, or else I never get gooseflesh if any girl touches me, I don't know why Naina does that to me and moreover I don't know it's good or bad...

'Thank god...'she breathes, I could feel her hot breath near my neck and it's creating weird feelings inside me...

I hold her properly, as she was slipping from my hold, It didn't even cross my mind that I should chase those men down or atleast call the police...

When I saw those men taking steps back, it clicked my mind to stop them, but it was very late, they managed to run away...

'What were you thinking...?' I ask, holding her properly, it felt so good to hold her like this...

'They. Hurt . Rads... I...' she managed to say, I could feel her losing grip around me

This girl... she is really crazy...

'You are crazy you know that...?' I say, hugging her tightly, she did not reply and collapsed on the ground and I was horrified, I mean... I was scared, I wasn't scared like this my whole life... 

What are you doing to me Naina...

Though she wasn't injured seriously yet she did not wake up for the whole day, which worried me

Hope everything is okay there..

We reached hospital and saw my dad and Naina's parents walking out of the room, along with the doctor, we ran towards them...

'Is everything okay doctor..?' My dad enquired

'She'll recover soon right ?' Harsh uncle asked, while Raina aunty was silent, she looked tired, Afterall she didn't stop crying from the moment Naina was brought here..

I placed my hand on her shoulders she smiled at me and held my hand...

'As a suspected, those men injected a harmful drug inside her body, because of which she didn't wake up for hours...' The doctor frowns

The elders gasped, while Abhi Bhai clenched his fist..

'Small children cannot bear such strong doses of recreational drugs and generally die, if taken in excess, it's good that Naina didn't let him inject the whole syringe inside her body, or else I don't know whether she would've survived or not...' he said, and we gasp...

A mere thought of anything happening to her did something to me, you are going crazy Arjun !

Raina Aunty started to sob, I held her she was sobbing badly on my chest, while Abhi bhai became more tensed now, Harsh uncle was almost on the verge of tears and Dad consoled him..

'Harsh.. she's out of danger now, see she is awake.. there's nothing to worry....' he said and Uncle forced a smile..

'We need to keep her here, to take out all the drug out of her system, meanwhile feed her all the vegetables and fresh fruits you can, they help in eliminating the toxins naturally, once she is all clear... she can go home...' Doctor said and we nod

'Does your daughter have Asthama...?' He asks further looking into the reports

'No...' Uncle and Aunty answer together

'I think she does.. we'll run a couple of tests to confirm that as well...' he says and her parents tensed

Looks like this girl likes to invite trouble... I hope she is okay...

'Mrs. Malhotra did you make the vegetable soup for her as we instructed, we must feed her... it'll help in detoxing her body...' Doctor asked Raina aunty..

'Yes... yes... I'll get it... Arjun beta be with her please, I'll be back in 10 minutes...' Aunty pleads and I nod

'Where are those men...?' Abhi bhai growls

'They ran away, we couldn't catch them...'

'We should report to police about this activities in our locality... It's not safe for children to roam around with men like these on loose...' My dad says and Naina's Dad nod

'I'll come with you guys...' Abhi Bhai says

'Arjun stay with Naina, ask the nurse to get the juice for her and try feeding it to her, before Raina aunty and your mom arrive with the soup, Okay...?' Dad instructs me..

'If she gives you a hard time call me son...' her Dad says, and we chuckle

'Don't worry uncle, I know how to handle her....' I say, they smile and left...

I go to the canteen and order the juice doctor has instructed to feed Naina, It looked so gross, how is she going to drink this, I walk towards the ward ignoring the flirty looks the girl on the counter was giving and entered Naina's room...
