The Game (Part 2)

Continued..

'Open your eyes Naina..' he said softly..

She slowly opened her eyes and their eyes met, none of them said anything for a moment, just stared at each other...

He had deep chocolate brown eyes, she was lost in his gaze, He slowly blew air on her wound and his breath fanned her face...

She felt new sensations in her body, she looked at him properly for first time he was fair, his eyes where big, pointed nose, messed up hair, full lips with small stubble growing on his chin..

Everyone's right he is breathtakingly handsome..

Though he was 3 years older than her, But he never spared a chance to irritate her and neither did she!

Other girls used to drool over him, would do anything he said, but not her, She never paid heed to whatever he would say, which he found annoying...

Today he observed her for the very first time... Her milky white skin, light brown eyes a cute little nose, pink lips and her cheeks all red due to tears falling down..

She is cute... He thought

All the time they used to fight for petty things and hardly looked at each other, but today was different, they were experiencing something new, which Naina was liking, but Arjun felt weird...

She's the same irritating girl you don't like and what's with the gooseflesh he looks at his arms and then takes a deep breath

Shashank snapped his fingers to break their trance, they composed themselves...

Arjun helped her to stand 'Are you okay...?' He asked.. Naina nodded

They turned towards their friends and stopped, the boys were smirking at them, some girls glared at Naina.. while Rads & Niki were smiling....

'What's up with them...?' They whispered..

'I'm sorry Naina.. ' Aditi said, though she looked mad..

'It's Okay..' she replied....

'C'mon everyone.. she's fine, let's begin the game..' Jai announced...

'Naina.. you rest for a while.. whenever you feel like playing join us for fielding....' he said..

'But I want wicketkeeping...' she whined...

'Not today..' Arjun & Radhika said at the same time..

She pouted and went to sit in the bench while Rads followed her...

'What was that...?' She whispered...

'What was what.. ?' Naina asked..

'I thought you hate Arjun...' Rads said..

'I do..'

'Why you were staring at him like that...' Rads smirked

'What...?? No I wasn't....' She retorted..

'Yes you were ! You both were staring each other for more than a minute... None of you even blinked..! You know what that means...' she teased

'Really... I didn't realise...' Naina was shocked

'We even called your names, none of you even replied...' She smirked 'What's cooking Naina..'

'Shut up...! It's nothing like that.. I was in pain.. Maybe that's why I didn't hear you guys...' she tried to reason

'Uhh huh.. what about him then..' Rads teased..

'Ask him..!' Naina said irritated..

'Okay okay... don't get angry... Take rest.. let me know if it pains..' Rads patted her back and joined others....

Naina sat on the bench resting her head on the pole beside it... She recalled the moment...his eyes.... So deep, His face Breathtakingly Handsome... He is handsome she thought... the way his breath fanned her face... she smiled at the thought...

Wait what.. what are you thinking Naina.. he's your enemy...

On the other side Jai & Sid were smirking at Arjun..

'What..?' He asked..

'Can't take your eyes off Naina, eh....?' Jai teased

'Isn't she cute Arjun...?' Sid teased

'Shut up both of you..' he gritted 'And everyone lose that smirk or i'll punch it out from your faces...' he warned and everyone sniggered...

He glanced in her direction, her eyes were closed her cheeks still red.. She looked cute.. he smiled at her...

'I don't know about her, but he is clean bowled...' Kartik commented and others laughed

'Let's play guys.. it's our Batting now..' Arjun said diverting the topic..

Soon the game resumed.. Jai's team scored  105/7...

It was Other team's turn now...

Arjun was batting like a pro, he scored a half century within 10 overs !

Naina's team members failed to bowl him out, the girls cheered for him...

While her team members struggled to bowl him out, soon 5 batsman of his team were down and he was the only batsman left..

As Naina was feeling better now, so she too joined the game...

Their team was tensed now, And Naina too.. the score was 92/5 with 2 overs left..!

Jai called out for a team meeting...

'We need to bowl him out..they just need 14 runs...' Vivek said

'I agree.. but I cannot bowl now... I finished my overs...' Jai whined

'Who's next to bowl..' Aditya whispered..

'Uh... Me...' Naina said..

'Very well then.. go for it Naina..' Jai encouraged her..

'But.. I can't bowl Jai... You know I suck at it, please take my overs...' Naina pleads

'You know I can't... Besides bowling is not hard at all... Finish him..' he encouraged

'I don't think she hates him anymore..' Sam teased

'Shut up Sam, Okay I'll try my best...' Naina hits Sam

'Very good, then Everyone take their positions.. Naina take the ball...' Jai announced...

Hearing this Arjun smirked & his team cheered... 'Arjun.. hit a six..!' Aditi yelled..

'Don't worry Arjun.. She's their weak bowler...!! You'll surely make us win in 3 balls...' Gauri stated

Naina glared at them as they cheered for him..

Naina was irritated, she went for a run up and threw ball at his direction... he hit a six..!

Everyone in his teem cheered, especially Aditi & Tanya who were all jumpy and even passed flying kissed towards him, Arjun ignored them...

She looked at Jai helplessly, who was standing behind Arjun

He pointed towards the stumps... 'Just target that...' he mouthed

She looked at Arjun and he smirked..

God help me..

She threw another ball at him, Again he hit a 4... his team members were going crazy and Naina's team members were tensed like hell...

'I'll suggest you to send another bowler Jai... if you don't want to lose badly...' Arjun commented...

'You're going to lose anyway... Why to trouble an injured old lady.. !' He smirked and others laughed...

Naina glared at him.. No wonder he I hate him...to hell with his good looks.. he's still a jerk

Naina looked at Jai, who smiled at her and asked her to be calm...

Every one cheered 'Arjun hit a six..!' Aditi shouted..

Naina smiled at Jai, her beautiful smile and something happened to Arjun, he couldn't stop staring at her, he was spellbound when she smiled, he failed to notice that she ran and threw the ball towards him, and he just did not bat, and the ball hit the stump...

'OOUUUTTTT....!!!!' Naina's team roared and Arjun stood rooted at his place...

'Arjun what the hell...' Aditi screamed, which broke his trance...

He looked at Naina, who was jumping along with her team mates...

'What just happened...?' He asked his team members

'You were clean bowled by Naina, Bro... what's wrong with you...?' Kartik said

He looked at them celebrating and smiled

She is really cute... he thought and walked towards his team who couldn't believe their eyes...

'Arjun...!' Someone called he turned around to see Naina running towards him

'You dropped this..!' She handed him his locket..

'And Thank you, for helping me earlier....' she smiled and again Arjun was mesmerised...

'You are welcome...' he managed to say

She turned around to go back to her team mates...

'How's your head now..?' he asked and she turned back

'Uh... I don't know, let me see... *touches her forehead and winced* It hurts.. but better...' she said

'Take care..' he smiled

'I will..' she said and walked away

Arjun stood there watching her go...

Was it really the ball that clean bowled Arjun ?
