Lets not talk about that Naina on our date My grip on the steering wheel tightens as I remember that stupid girl's words

How dare she talk about Naina, that way...

Last evening...

'Remind me again why should I go out with her ?' I ask Jai as he fixed my jacket

'You need to get back in the game, you are not meant to be a celibate...' he rolls his eyes

'I wasn't planning to be a celibate, I just don't feel like dating...'

'Just go out with her once, she's been dying to get your attention in the office...' Jai says

'So does half the office, I can't go out with everyone...' I roll my eyes

'See we had a bet, now don't back off...' Jai warns

'What makes you think I won't finish the date...?'

Jai doesn't answer just grins, Idiot !

'What about 'No dating the colleagues rule' ?' I raise my brow

'You can if the colleague is hot..' he winks and I roll my eyes

'Did you not see my ex ?'

'Don't take her name...' he cringes and I do that too, she was a bad news

'Okay she's not as hot as that headache you dated... But you must go out with her...' Jai says

'I am doing this just for our bet of 10,000 rupees.. Else I am not interested in her...' I say and Jai laughs

'I am sure you will not even finish the date...' Jai says

'I will... Be ready with the money, I prefer cash by the way...' I say bored

'We'll see...' Jai says challengingly

'I don't need this cologne, I don't want to impress her...'  I push away the cologne bottle

'Yeah okay, go have fun...'

'Oh I will...' I smirk at him

'I know you won't...' Jai says

I go out to my living room, to wear shoes when my brothers spot me..

'Oh ho, someone is dressed up...' Sash comments

'Yeah, someone is ready to ruin his date...' Adi comments, Jai comes out and hi fives him for this

'How come you guys are so sure...?' I ask

'Because we know something that you don't... And she's gonna piss you off...' Adi says and Sash looks at him confused

'Then why are you asking me to go out with her...' I look at Jai

'Because we are sadists...' Jai says proudly

'Ohh that you are...' I huff and walk out

Narrator's POV

After Arjun departs Sash looks at Adi and Jai

'She hates Naina, right...?' He asks and they grinned

'Oo she's so dead...' Sash laughs

'I know right...' Jai says

'Why are we messing with her again...?' Sash asks

'She ratted us out for that app glitch in front of the directors, eventhough, it wasn't our fault...' Adi huffs

'She thinks she knows more than me, I fucking created that App...' Jai exclaims

'So we get her fired..?' Sash raised his brow

'Duh...' Adi says

'That's not fair to be honest...' Sash says

'Can you just not accept that the idea is brilliant...' Adi says

'And Evil...' Jai joins him

'Wow you guys are sadists...' Sash says

'Thank you...' Adi and Jai smirk

At the cafe

Arjun enters the cafe and finds Neha seated on a high table, waiting for him, he sighs and walks towards her

'Sorry I am late... Was stuck in the traffic...' he says

'Well this is a trick isn't it, to see whether the girl has patience or not...' Neha says in a flirting manner

Arjun cringes internally at this

'Well I don't play mind games, I was genuinely stuck...' he says taking his seat

'So what would you like to order...?' Neha forwards him the menu

'Well I don't feel like eating anything, I'll probably have an espresso...' he says looking at the menu

'Wow our choices match, I love that thing...' She lies, in reality she didn't even know what an espresso was

'You don't have to order it just because I did..' Arjun said, knowing that she have no idea what he ordered

'Okay...' she said embarrassed

'So, when not in office what you like to do...?' Neha asks

Classic date questions, how boring... Arjun thinks

'Well, when I am not in office, I hang out with my friends, who also work in the office btw...' Arjun replies

'Yeah I know about them, so you don't have any friends except them...?'

'I do, but they are the only one I really care about...' Arjun smiles

'Well that's sad...' Neha says

'Why is that sad...?' he raised his brows

'Well don't get me wrong, if you don't expand your circle how will you grow...?'

'I think I am growing pretty well, above average I can say...' He says proudly

'See, what I mean to say, you need to have happening friends, not boring people like Naina...' she shudders at her name and Arjun raises his brow at this

'She is not boring, don't comment on people if you don't know about them...' he says in a threatning tone and Neha flinches

'I see you are very protective for her...' Neha says not knowing she's inviting trouble

'Yes I am... And I don't like people commenting about her, in the office, out side the office...'

'You must have a good heart to care for her, because honestly she doesn't deserve it, she irritates me and other woman in the office...' Neha says, thinking Arjun is interested in the gossip

'Are you so stupid that you think you can bitch about my bestie in front of me...' Arjun says irritated

'Oo come on, don't tell me you are not sick of her...' Neha rolls her eyes

'Who are the others ?' he asks

'Well lots of woman in my department, we think she clings on to you a lot, and cannot do anything without you...'

'That's not true, reality is other way round, I cannot work without her...' Arjun defends her and Neha huffs

'That cannot be true...'

'That is true....'

'Let's not talk about that Naina on our date...' Neha says flirtily

You started it, Arjun thinks... Wait a minute, did she just call her 'that Naina'... Ooo she's dead

'She's not 'That Naina' and I want you to be nice to her, if you want this to proceed...' Arjun was angry by now

'Well, I won't... I don't like her...' Neha counters

'I don't want to do this, I am out...' Arjun calls for the bill

'Are you seriously ditching me...?' Neha exclaims

'I am not only ditching you, I am firing you...' Arjun says

'What....! You can't'

'Hell I can..'

Before she could say anything, Arjun stormed out paying his share of bill..

Getting out of the cafe he gets into the car angrily and starts it

I am gonna kill Jai for wasting my time on that girl... How dare she !

He drives towards his house and enters the complex, he was so angry that he didn't notice the person walking across the road, though the speed was very slow, he unknowingly hit someone with his car...

Damn it..!

Arjun immediately gets out of the car to help the person, he sees a girl lying on the ground and the box she was carrying fell beside her

'Naina !' he hears a man calling and his hands and legs froze

I hit Naina ! Oh no... Arjun runs towards her, but she was already trying to stand

'Are you crazy...' Naina shouts, not knowing who the driver is

Arjun approached her and she looks at him and gasps

'You ! You hit me ! You mad man...' she starts hitting him

'I am sorry... I didn't do it intentionally...' he defends himself

'Naina are you okay...?' he hears another voice and looks towards the guy

It was one of the guy working in Radhika's department, Atharva Singh..

'I am fine atharva, luckily didn't even get a scratch, but someone here was planning to kill me...' she glares at Arjun and Atharva chuckles

'You just got bumped by my car okay, it didn't even hit... Don't over react' Arjun rolls his eyes and Naina huffs

'I could've been hurt...' Naina whines

'Damn my car...' Arjun says dramatically and looks at his car searching for the scratch, to irritate Naina

'How mean...!' she hits him

Atharva picks up the box, and collects all the stuff that were scattered around, While Arjun who was trying to dodge Naina's punches sees this..

'Atharva Singh, what a surprise....' Arjun says, finally grasping Naina's arms and locking her in his hold by putting his arms around her neck and Naina tried to get out of his hold

'Stop moving or I'll knock you down...' he says to Naina and she huffs

Atharva who was surprised by seeing his boss's playful nature, composed himself and smiled

'Good evening sir, I am here to pick Naina...' he greets him

'Really...? You guys going somewhere..?' Arjun asks, looking at Naina, who finally gets out of his hold and hits him again

'Yeah, we volunteer for a NGO sir... These are the stuffs we collected from the building, to donate there...' he shows him two big boxes

'That's really nice Atharva, and you, I didn't know you volunteer...' he hits Naina playfully

'I've been doing this since last year and I asked you to join us, but you have no time...' Naina rolls her eyes

'That's okay Naina, Sir must have other interests after office...' Atharva says

'He just sleeps okay... Or goes out on dates...' Naina says and Arjun rolls his eyes

'Not everyone has a compassionate heart like you buddy...' Naina smiles and Arjun gets jealous at this

'I understood the taunt...' Arjun says

'Good for you... Now excuse us, we have to get these boxes to the NGO office...' She says picking up the box

'I can drop you guys...' Arjun offers

'We have my superbike...' Naina says proudly

'It's a scrap...' Arjun rolls his eyes

'So is your car...' Naina counters and Atharva chuckles

'Bye sir..' he says and Arjun nods

'Bye weirdo...' Naina grins and Arjun narrows his eyes

'Ciao Mia bella...' Arjun smirks and Naina frowns, while Atharva mutters a 'Wow' hearing this

'What does that mean...?'

'It means Bye hideous woman...' Arjun says

'You are such a dog...' she huffs and walks away, followed by Atharva, while Arjun chuckles

Back to present

I think the reason why I cannot tolerate anyone saying anything bad about Naina is maybe I see her more than my best friend

You are crazy Arjun, she's Naina, she hates guys ! Well hates dating guys...

I have to get this thing out of my head, I'll test the waters today... I'll give her a hint about this feeling and see her reaction

She'll get angry max to max, won't do anything more than that..

Narrator's POV

Arjun reaches the parking lot of their office and gets out of the car, and spots the watchman..

'Shyam, is the basement ready...?' he asks

'Yes Sir, here's the key...' he gives him the keys

'Thanks...' Arjun takes the keys and walks downstairs

He opens the door, and switchs on the light, it was a huge empty place with minimal lighting, it was cold, like so cold that it gave Arjun chills...

'What a creepy place...' He mutters and looks around

'For now we can use this...' he says and gets out of the room and locks it

'Man I am not going there again, it's damn creepy...' he shudders while walking upstairs

Arjun hands back the keys to the caretaker and gets in the elevator

'Okay so how do I do it...?' he asks himself

'I can go to her and say, Hey Naina ! Here's a thing, Um I know you hate dating, but I have these feelings for you since, I don't know from class 12th, and I cannot get rid of it, so will you go out on a date with me...?' he practices in front of the mirror in the elevator and then cringes on his own words

Then Naina takes out her sandal and hits me right on the face... He sighs and then his eyes land on the camera of the elevator

'You did not see anything, Okay...' he says threatningly looking at the camera, as if warning the operator

The elevator dings and he composed himself, and got out of the elevator and saw Naina walking towards staircase

There you go Arjun, Say it

'Hey' he says

'Hey..' she smiles back and he went blank

'Um.. Where are you going ?' he asks

'Rads needs me...' Naina informs

'Okay, see I need to talk to you... Meet me after the office...?' Arjun says nervously

'Yeah, sure, Where...?'

'Just come to my cabin, we'll go somewhere... Just you and me...' he smiles

'Looks like I will be scolded today, is this an advance damage control offer for it...?' Naina asks

'No, not any damage control, just I want to hang out with you...' he says

'Okay, see you...' Naina says and walks downstairs

Arjun looks at her retreating figure and sighs

I hope she doesn't take it other way

Arjun walks towards his cabin replying to staff's greetings and he looks at the PR department..

Most people at BD team hate Naina he remembers Neha's words

'Kabir !' he calls and Kabir rushes towards him

'Good afternoon sir...' he greets

'I want BD team's performance report in 2 hours...' he says loud enough for everyone in the floor to hear, including Jai who was inside their shared cabin

'But sir, it's due at the month end...' Kabir says

'It's performance is below average I heard, we need new recruitments, so give me everyone's individual report so I can fire people...' he says looking at the PR team who was shocked and terrified at the same time

'But Sir...'

'Do it Kabir...' Arjun orders and Kabir nods

Jai raised his brows and looked at the BD team through the glass wall of their cabin

Arjun enters his and Jai's cabin and sits on his chair, wearing his specs...

'Raise the curtains, I don't want curious glances...' He asks Jai, who nods and does as instructed

'So...' Jai says grinning

'So...?' Arjun looks up and looks at Jai who extends his hands towards Arjun and he huffs

Arjun takes out his wallet and hands it to Jai 'I don't have 10,000 rupees cash, I'll take it from the bank and give it to you...' he says

'Aaj to party karunga mai...(Today I'll celebrate...') Jai says counting the cash and Arjun rolls his eyes

Sash and Adi enter the cabin and Arjun sighs

'I heard the BD team is getting screwed ?' Adi says

'Yeah, what did they do..?' Sash asks

Arjun says nothing, just huffs and looks at his file

'Do they hate Naina too...?' Adi asks

Arjun looks up from the file shocked and then composes himself

'Don't you have work...' he scolds them

'Bhai, hypothetically if one of us starts disliking Naina, we'll be punished too...?' Sash asks him

'It has nothing to do with Naina....' Arjun replies maintaining his calm

'Ofcourse it doesn't...' Jai says smirking

'Let's review sales team as well...' Jai says

'No need... It's the best team I have...' Arjun says not looking up from the file

Adi-Sash and Jai look at each other and smirk

'Team or the manager...?' they tease

'Get out...' Arjun throws file at the twins they laugh and leave the cabin

Arjun looks at Jai.. 'Hey, it's my cabin too...' he raised his hands

'Whatever...' Arjun picks up the file

'Why don't you accept that you love her...?' Jai says

'I don't love her Jai !' Arjun says irritated
