The Game (Part 1)

Everyone gathered at playground, while Naina & Arjun were still glaring each other..

Radhika calmed down a bit, but was continuously passing death glares to Sid, who was sulking over his cracked phone now, which was due to the tug of war he initiated, between Arjun & Naina...

'What do we play....?' Kartik asked

'Yeah Arjun ! Tell na.. We'll play whatever you say..' Aditi grabbed his hand, he ignored her and got out of her hold

Naina rolled her eyes, 'I won't...' she muttered

'Then don't....' Arjun retorted and everyone looked at her...

Always ears on me... eh Arjun.. Stupid Kangaroo

'Why always he decides what to play...?' She complained

'Because...' he began

'Oooo... Shut up both of you... don't start again..' Jai scolds them

'I'll decide today..' Naina insisits..

'Then I'll leave..' Arjun said...

'Bye Bye then.. never come back Arjun....'  she sang, and Arjun narrowed his eyes at her..

'None of you will decide...' Jai said... He looked around  'Radhika...! Come here and say what we should play today...' he calls Radhika

Radhika became nervous as everyone was looking at her now, She glanced at Arjun who too looked at her now, Her cheeks turned Red at this...

'Uh.. Ummm... I.. '  she stammered

'Cricket...' the twins cheered

'Uhh... I...' she was hell nervous now..

'Be quick Rads...'  Aditi said irritated..

'Aditi.....' Naina countered, but Rads rolled her eyes at Aditi

'Yeah.. OK.. Let's play Cricket...' Rads said

'Okay then, I & Arjun will be the Captains..' Jai and everyone nodded

Jai glanced at Naina, She too agreed... 

No point in arguing Naina, you know he's a good player... She thought

'Now let's decide teams..' Aditi said she was clinging to Arjun like a monkey on a tree.. 

'I'll take Sid & Aditi '  Arjun Said & Aditi jumped happily

'Shashank & Vivek in my team..'

'Tanya & Radhika in my team..' Arjun said eyeing Naina

'No not Radhika...' Naina whined

'Why....?' Jai asked

'Because I know he won't take me in his team...' Naina pointed at Arjun 'And I want her in my team..'  she pouted

Arjun smirked, 'Smart Girl...' he muttered

'Too late miss...' he said & Naina glared at him, Radhika smiled at her and went on Arjun's side..

'I'll take Naina & Niki...' Jai said..

'Yeeaahh....' Niki was happy and so was Naina and like this everyone was sorted in their respective teams...

Sagar flipped the coin, Jai won the Toss & Chose to Bat..

The match started soon, Naina was a good wicketkeeper, But Arjun was an All rounder, She knew she cannot face him alone...

After some time, Naina was on strike along with her partner Aditya, their team's score was 50/2, Jai & Vivek were bowled out by Arjun, Naina was a terrible batsman, and only she knew that, but today everyone will...

'Arjun to isko aaram se out kar dega.... (Arjun will bowl her out in a second)...' Neha commented and the girls in his team giggled except Radhika, she glared at them..

'Focus...' Arjun roared to the fielders...

He smirked at Naina and went to take a run for bowling, he looked intimidating as well as handsome at the same time..

'Oh My... how can someone look so good....' Tanya said who was wicketkeeping at that time

Naina rolled her eyes.... Relax Naina... she muttered

Arjun purposely bowled one of his fastest ball and she ducked because she couldn't judge it... 

'Eeeepppp..' Tanya shrieked and hid behind Naina, the ball slightly brushed Naina's head and was caught by Sid...

'Kya kar rai hai Taani ! (What the hell Taani), This could've been a boundary...' Sid yelled..

Naina rubbed her forehead.... Rotten Kangaroo.... she muttered

'Are you hurt....' Arjun mocked her, she ignored him and lift her bat once again

Arjun continued to torment her with his fast balls for the  entire over, she did get hit one or two times and was hell irritated by now... 

Whenever the ball hit her... Arjun would look sorry but didn't say anything...

'These are your best players Jai ?' Aditi commented 'Our Arjun will bowl her out in next ball...' she said...

'Very Funny Aditi, let's see, how you tackle her when we bowl....' Jai said and she frowned....

'C'mon Naina..Focus...' Jai yelled

'Chill Naina, Bhai didn't kill anyone with his bowling... Yet' Aditya joked, he was a mini version of Arjun but cuter & soft spoken, Arjun smacked him lightly and went for a run up..

'Arjun... finish her.. ' Aditi cheered and other girls joined her, except Rads who was tensed because Naina was hit by the ball 3 times now..

Enough Pretty boy.... I'll show you how to play now...

Arjun bowled her the ball in same speed, Naina quickly judged the ball and hit it with the bat... It went high in the air...

'6.....!!!!' Naina's team yelled, Arjun was shocked

'My turn now....' Naina smirked..

The game continued in this manner, Naina was tackling his fast balls much as she can and Arjun was now irritated..

Jai & other members were dancing on any four or six she hit, which were scarce, but they cheered for her, Naina somehow managed to scored 25 runs for her team, and now it was the final over

The score was 95/4 and it was Niki & Naina as partners, as Arjun couldn't manage to bowl her out...

Aditi was bowling and Arjun was the wicketkeeper

Niki was on strike, Aditi bowled, she hit the ball & both of them took run, the ball was saved by Sid....

'What are you upto Aditi...?' he growled

Naina was on strike, Aditi smirked at her and she returned it...

Aditi bowled and Naina hit a 4... Arjun was furious...

'Aditi....!!' He growled & she gulped

Aditi was irritated now, She took a longer run up and threw a fast ball which directly hit Naina on her head... though it was unintentional, it hit very hard !

'Ouucchh ....' Naina winced in pain and the bat fell from her hand...

She was about to fall when Arjun caught her and made her sit on the ground...

'Are you crazy Aditi...' he said her team and others rushed towards her..

'Ahh.. ' she cried in pain and tears were streamed down her eyes...

Arjun tried to remove her hand from her forehead but she jerked it away...

'Don't touch me.. ' she whimpered..

'Naina.. Don't be so Stubborn... Let me see...' he ordered

'Naina do as he says..' Jai said..

She let him remove her hand, he came closer to examine the wound, the part were ball hit was red and her eyes were closed with tears rolling down he wiped them using his thumb...

'Open Your Eyes Naina..' he said softly..

She opened them slowly and that's how their eyes met for the first time...
