Naina's POV

'Maaa, I'm leaving...' I called, tieing my shoe laces...

'Wait, Naina... Take your medicines...' She came out of the kitchen with those yucky pills...

'Kya yaar Maa... I don't need these anymore..' I whined.

'Don't Argue Naina, just take them...' She ordered

I gulped the pills in one go....yucks...

'Can I go now..?'

'Yes, But come back soon, Dont forget ! We have to go to Arjun's house today...' she informed...

'Yes Maa, I'll be back by 5..' I say and close the door...

I walked towards the complex gate to wait for Rads, We have an assignment submission...

Ughh... I wanted to skip college... so that I could find something better to wear today...

We have to go to Arjun's house today, He cracked the SAT exams in one go and is selected for business studies in NYU, I'm really happy for him, Everyone is congratulating him and once again he's the hero of the society, But he'll be gone for 5 years, 5 freaking long years...!

In last one year he has become an inseparable part of my life, My best friend, My guide, My....Crush..

Yeah I admit it.. I have a huge crush on my childhood enemy, strange I know.... but... whenever he touches me an electricity like thingy runs down my spine, Whenever I see him I get butterflies in my tummy, when he says my name.. I get goosebumps.. Sounds cliche... I know..... But It's true....

I don't know when I got feelings for him but whatever he says, I like it, I don't feel like arguing with him now, whenever he acts mean.. I don't get irritated.. instead I worry about losing him...

Even I am his best friend, he shares everything with me...

I've acting differently around him lately, which obviously Rads noticed and she thinks I should confess everything to him, But I don't want to lose my friend because of some stupid feelings...

I don't have the guts to admit that I like him, Moreover I cannot afford to be heartbroken like the other girls he rejected, I don't want to end up like them...

Arjun is leaving next week, so his parents organized a party for him, and invited his friends and families to their house today..

He's leaving... *Sigh*

'Hayyyyy, Arjun ki yaad me uski Draupadi...' Rads commented from behind..

Like seriously... that's her worst humor till today...

I turned and glared at her...

'Excuse me I don't have 5 husbands...?'

She laughed... 'Babe chill... I've read somewhere... that out of her 5 husbands.. Draupadi loved Arjun the most, afterall he was her rightful husband, But He was always busy in practicing, other works & wives, though he was her husband and practically lived with her, but hardly noticed her...'

'See... I didn't find any other historic female protagonist to match for name Arjun, only Draupadi came to my mind, besides.... even you have similar condition like her on the noticing part...' she smirked

'Atleast she was married to her Arjun' I sighed

We reached the bus stand, 'So what are you planning to give him as a goodbye gift..' She asked...

'Do I have to...?'

She slapped my forehead 'God, Naina...!'

'Ouch ! What was that for...' I winced rubbing my forehead...

Just then bus arrived and we boarded...

'You're seriously hopeless... your crush is leaving for 5 years and you don't even give him a gift....' she hissed..

'But why should I give him anything, He'll come back anyway after his studies....' I tried to argue..

'God what do I do with this girl...' she whined..

'Arre Dumbo, you give him something so that it reminds him of you even there, What if he finds some girl there... huh... what will you do...' I was horrified..

'What do I do now Rads, I don't know what to buy for him...' I panicked

'Don't worry we will go for shopping after the assignment submission...' she patted my shoulder

'What about the lectures then...'

'Geez Naina, We're in college now...! Don't be so boring...' she rolled her eyes...

We reached the college, submitted the assignment and headed towards the nearest mall...

'Now.. what do you buy for a boy...' I scratched my head..

'What about a perfume..' she said..

'Probably you're right.. that's quite common...'

'Anything else... something like a souvenir...' I suggested..

'He's not going to settle there, he'll be back in 5 years, Think of something that reminds him about you there, as a symbol of your friendship..' she said

'Like bracelet or wristband..?' I suggested

'He's not a girl..' she rolled her eyes...

'Guys wear bracelet!' I defended

'Arjun doesn't' Rads dismissed the topic

What do I buy for him, that doesn't show my feelings like... very obvious also it shouldn't look.....Uh...Cheap....

I sat on the stool rested my hand on the counter...

Just then I saw a watch, It was perfect...

'Rads ! Come here...' I call her

'How about this..' I pointed at the watch

'Wow, it's awesome....' she chirped 'But it's quite expensive, it will cost you like your whole savings....' she said..

'No issues.... I'll save again....' I assured

'Okay then ! Watch it is..' she smiled, We purchased the watch and left the store....

'I hope he likes this...' I said

'He'll love it ' she exclaimed & dragged me to a clothes shop

It looked like an expensive clothing brand boutique.... but....why it looked similar to me... the staff...they smiled at us.... the sections.... I've definitely bought something from here.... but when...?

'What are you doing...?' I hissed

'Finding something for you to wear....' she stated

'But I don't have any money left....' I whined

Her eyes widened... 'Who's gonna ask you for money at my shop..? Huh...?' She glared at me..

Ooh yeeahh... It's her mother's boutique...

'Ohh, But then too Rads... why do I need a new dress... I'll wear whatever I have...' I said

'Yeah, those jackets & all guy stuff...' she rolls her eyes

'Come... I'll find something for you....' she dragged me to dresses section...
