The next four days were crazy for them.

Mila called her parents letting them know she was coming home for good. Her, Jared, Selena and Ian packed the rest of her belongings getting ready for her big move back home. Her aunt and Uncle came by and helped them. When Mila introduce them to Jared her aunt saw the love radiating off her niece and smiled.

"So you're the boy who she never stops talking about." She says to him.

Mila's face went up in flames and Jared gave her a sideways look grinning in return. "She talked about me huh?"

"Oh the girl wouldn't shut up. She thought very highly of you and other things of course." She winks at him as if she had a secret.

"Aunt Sarah!" Mila warns.

Jared's interest perks up. "You know what Mrs. Joyce I think me and you should talk sometime." He laughs when Mila pulls him away from her aunt and made him help pack her bedroom.

During the day they were exhausted from packing everything and during the night they were exhausted after making love. All in all, it was the best time of her life. By the fifth day they were ready to leave.

"I'm having the movers came by later today do retrieve the furniture and your car to California." Jared tells her as they drove to the airport.

"Your aunt and Uncle will be there to make sure everything goes smoothly."

Mila grabs his hand, and he pulls it up to kiss the back of it. "Aww you guys are so cute together." Selena gushes behind them in the back seat, batting her eyelashes dramatically.

"Sel, do me a favor and shut up." Her brother says causally without any meaning behind it.

Mila smiles at their banter, knowing they were never going to hear the end of it from her. They get on the plane and headed home. When they arrive Mila was surprised to see everyone waiting for them. Her parents, grandparents, Evan with Shasta and even Kristan.

"Hey what's going on?" Selena asks, frowning.

"We wanted to see my pumpkin home." Cale states proudly.

"Uncle Jared!" Shasta runs to him, and he lifts her high in the air.

"Hey booger butt.'" he laughs making her squeal with delight.

"All of you?" Mila hugs her grandfather.

"Well I kind of told them that Jared took my grandmother's ring and well there's only one person that he could only ask." Jared's mom answers, smiling for she had already spotted the ring on her finger.

"Mom!" Jared looked a bit annoyed.

"Well did he ask you?" Cale demands watching her reaction closely.

Mila smiles warmly at him. "Oh papa." She sighs then raises her hand to show everyone and they all became excited as they reached for her hand to stare at the beautiful ring.

Cale had the hugest smile she had ever seen. "You knew all this time didn't you?" She whispers to where only he heard.

"Like I said pumpkin, it's no fun if you're told who you're in love with. It's the journey to discover it yourself that matters." He pointedly looks at Jared. "Besides he told me he was in love you when he was seventeen."

Her eyes widen at that.

After all the congratulations went around, other than Kristan who was seething with jealousy, Jared whispers in her ear, "You know we might as well tell them now that they're all gathered around."

She looks up at him. "Let's get this over with?" she asks, dreading their reactions.

"The sooner the better." He mumbles, matching her mood.

Then they braced themselves. She puts on a tight smile. "We also have other news everyone."

They all looked at her and Jared. Again she looks at him and he gives her a wink. She gives a big sigh and says loudly,

"I'm Pregnant!"

Everyone stood there completely shocked. Then suddenly Evan burst out laughing.

"Well ain't that some shit!" He smiles joyously.

Everyone went into hysterics of happiness. "I'm going to be a grandma!" Both Mila and Jared's mothers say at the same time with tears in their eyes.

Cale hugs her for a long time. They all went back to her house to celebrate the two special occasions. Jared stood outside looking up at the night sky. He hears someone come up behind him, so he turns around to find Cale. "Hey" " he says to him.

"Hey," he says back.

They stood there in silence for a few moments. "Looks like it worked out after all." Cale looks over at him.

Jared smiles. "Yeah, it did."

Cale grabs his shoulder. "Now I can really call you my grandson. I'm proud of you Jared. If anybody deserved this it was you. I couldn't have a greater man to take care of my pumpkin than you."

Jared becomes emotional at that. "Thank you."

The old man smiles at him and looks back up at the stars.

"My two favorite men in the world out here leaving me in there with the wolves." Mila states behind them.

Cale watches as Jared's face lit up with all the love he felt when he heard the sound of her voice. "Sorry pumpkin are they still at then?"

She rolls her eyes as she stands between them. "Papa they never stopped."

Jared pulls her close to him. "How did you get away?"

Their mothers were like mama hens never leaving them alone about the baby. They cried, they laughed, even rubbed Mila's belly. They had squeezed Jared's cheeks in excitement that their family was coming together.

"It's about time you two realized how you felt!" Mila's mom rants to them.

"I said lock them in a room for a whole night naked, that will make them see reason." Jared's mother rants on next and they all laughed.

"Mom!" Jared yelled blushing with embarrassment.

"Yeah and look where it got them!" Selena pitches in. That's where he went outside with more laughter following.

"Yes, how did you get away?" Cale asks curious himself.

Mila chuckles with a devious glint in her eyes. "I pulled out my ultrasound picture and they were all over it."

Jared groans in dismay as Cale laughs. "Yep, that will do it."

She becomes serious in that moment. "Papa, me and Jared were talking, and we've decided that if the baby is a boy, we're going to name him after you." She looks over at Jared and he grins.

Cale couldn't say anything as he smiles. "Is that so?" he finally chokes out emotionally.

"Yeah, you have always been there for us, always knew when we were going through something. I was always able to tell you anything." She says softly, her own emotions getting the best of her. Damn hormones making her all mushy.

"You're the grandfather I was never able to have, you've given me advice when no one else could and you helped me vent over the years when this one here would drive me crazy." Jared tells him.

She elbows him in the side. "What? It's true, especially that night in my room-ow!" he laughs, rubbing his arm where she hit him.

Cale raises an eyebrow at that statement. "I'm going to assume you haven't told me everything back then."

Jared sighs contently. "No, there are just some things I'd rather keep to myself."

He grunts but smiles knowing the feeling well. "Thank you, to both of you. I will be honored to have your child named after me."

She hugs him to her tightly as did Jared. They watch him go back inside leaving them all alone. He grabs her hand and pulls her close, then leans down to give her a lingering kiss.

"Can't wait till the day you're mine." he says softly.

"I'm already yours Jared." She states looking a bit confused.

He just smiles. "You won't be fully mine until your last name is changed to Cooper."

"Hmm... Mila Rose Cooper." She tries out. "I like that, it really goes."

"It's perfect." he says.

Mila links her arms around his neck and brings him down to her lips for another kiss.
