.: Twenty-Three's P.o.V. :.
Her head pounded so badly, thankfully, not as badly as before when she talked to Six that someone was tenderizing her head and she kept thinking, making her head dizzier. Now, Twenty-Three's head felt like she didn't slept for two days straight - which hurts. It was night time now on the hospital and as said by the doctor she could leave tomorrow yet come back when she get sick after a few days.
Twenty-Three sighed out as she curled to the side, the noises still continued outside her bed cubicle and Twenty-Three wished her mother had brought her tablet or phone so she could drown it out with some music.
Luckily no one found out the scar on her forearm, which was a good thing, looking at it makes Twenty-Three shiver remembering the doll that caused that scar. The scar of her forehead though, still stinged even after it got rewrapped or it was slowly healing, like a bit of the North Wind's... hand - what you call it - digged deep into her skull and slowly pulled out to give her so much pain.
In the pocket of her hoodie, she found scissors. Below her bed was a lamp and an umbrella. Like the stuff Twenty-Three brought around in the Nightmare-mashed-with-the-Real World came with her...
Hopefully not also... her.
Huffing through her nose, knowing she was too restless to rest, Twenty-Three stood up. She needed a bit of quiet time and being in the ER is not the best place for quiet time.
Twenty-Three pushed the curtains aside and looked around before heading out. It felt good to walk around on shoes again, being barefoot most of the time in that... Incident... sored her feet.
Twenty-Three pulled over her hoodie to hopefully cover her bandaged forehead and made it past the hall. It was silent exept the the usual nurse or patients walking by, Twenty-Three walked on until she reached a lounge, she looked around and saw a vending machine neaby, so she trudged to the machine and pulled out some money to buy a nice cold orange soft drink.
"Hey Twenty-Three," Twenty-Three heard Mono behind her and she jolted a bit, the money almost near to falling from her hand. She turned around and saw Mono there, Twenty-Three sighed out, "Dude, you scared me," she said as she put in the money on the slot and picked out the drink from the vending machine.
Mono tilted his head, "Aren't you supposed to be resting?" He asked and Twenty-Three shrugged while grabbing the can that now fell into the reciver's slot and popping open the soda can, "Well, I tried and failed," she said while taking a few sips.
"How about you?" Twenty-Three asked while looking over at Mono and he flinched back a bit, since he wasn't wearing a paperbag, Twenty-Three swore his ears got a bit red.
"Uh, I will be heading out now, I'm done with my check ups," he said and Twenty-Three tilted her head, "Are you okay?"
"What do you mean by that?"
"You jolted when I looked at you," Twenty-Three pointed it out blantly and now she saw Mono's cheeks get tiny bit... red too. Is he... blushing?
Why in the world would he be blushing?
Mono took a deep breath and tried to glance away from Twenty-Three, clearing his throat, "I-It's just... different seeing you... with your... eyes that aren't covered by your bangs-- Not that it looks bad, it looks," Mono paused, "pretty."
Twenty-Three smiled, "Thanks, I really disliked my eyes though, now that my bangs are gone I feel... Vulnerable," she said and Mono smiled nervously, "No... Youu-- your eyes looks good... Not that you don't look good with your bangs covering it but-"
Twenty-Three giggled then patted Mono's shoulder, "Alright, alright, I get it. Thanks for the compliment," she said while leaning closer and pecking Mono's cheek playfully.
"I'm gonna head back, see ya," Twenty-Three waved him off while walking back to her bed cubicle and drinking up the rest of her orange soda.
.: Mono's P.o.V. :.
Mono stood as Twenty-Three walked back, he just stood there frozen and his eyes kept blinking, his cheek burned - the place Twenty-Three pecked burned the most. His mouth hung agape and heart hammering loudly in his chest, feeling like it might explode any minute now.
Oh my god what the heck happened why did I say that why did SHE do that my heart what the heck!
Wait.
Why in the world am I feeling like this?!
Mono shook the thought and feeling away while rubbing his cheek, trying to fight off a smile slightly placed on his lips. Someone cleared his throat behind him and Mono turned to see Seven smirking at him with that annoying lenny face.
Mono frowned while lowering his hand on his cheek, "What?"
Seven shrugged while pulling out some money to buy cold tea from the vending machine, "Nothing~," he hummed while waiting for the tea can to fall into the slot and he took it out, popping it open and taking a few sips.
"What is wrong with you?" Mono asked Seven and he hummed again, "Hmm nothing, just happy. You know, seeing something good. Something hahehaheee."
"Could you speak in English you sound like an alien," Mono spat and Seven shrugged, taking a sip of his drink.
"Hhh, you'll never understand. Oh well! Gonna go," he said in a sing song voice, slightly tap dancing and paused. Mono furrowed his eyebrows before Seven turned to him, "Oh, and Mono?"
"What?" He answered and Seven grinned, "MONEE FOR LIFE~!" He sang/shouted it out before quickly walking away. Mono blinked and rose an eyebrow.
Monee?...
Mon...o...
Twenty-Thr...ee?
Mon...ee....
Me and Twenty-Three?....
Mono blushed a deeper shade of red.
Aw hell nah that fanboy!
"SEEEEVEEEEENNNN," Mono said before chasing the brunet who now dashed away the hall, laughing as he did.
==================
.: Six's P.o.V. :.
Finally it was a week after the.... Incident. When Six got out the hospital she had a whole day of resting, school got cancelled since it got blown up and wouldn't be fixed until a week or so. It was like music for her ears, but knowing the reason of the explosion - the true reason, not the one the police filed out - Six still shivered remembering her conversation with Shadow Six.
So the four got to hang out after two days being at home. And all of them agreed to call whatever happened in that Nightmare-mashed-with-Real World as the Incident, since the first name was too long, making it a hassle to type out for the Author--
Six fixed her bangs and her raincoat, she decided to leave it unbuttoned so her t-shirt and demin shorts could be seen. Today Seven decided that they should go out on a real date around the afternoon, since walking around a Nightmare world didn't seem like a realistic first date - but hey, first dates are spontaneous or embarrassing or cute or all in above.
Her mother stayed for a few days before leaving back to the business trip, the people of that business would of course need her attendance so Six didn't even try to stop her.
There was a knock on her door and Six quickly headed downstairs, she opened it to see Seven.
"Hi Seven!" She smiled and Seven made a small smile, "Hey Six, you're ready?"
"Yup! Where we going?" Six asked, Seven grinned, "You'll see, wanna hold hands?"
"Don't dates do that?"
"Well I wanna make sure you'll be comfortable about it."
"We held hands a lot of time back at the Incident."
"That was different from this one."
"Okay fine," Six rolled her eyes playfully and held Seven's hand, Seven nodded and they walked on out. They walked down the street and to the small town nearby. Seven looked at one of the buildings and had an idea, he turned to Six, "Hey Six, how do you feel about arcades?"
"ME LIKE," Six said while pumping her fist in the air and Seven nodded, "Well then, to the arcade!" He said and they ran to the arcade's door, Six squealing, "HELL YEAH."
They had tons of fun, especially with the guns game. They got tons of tickets and Seven got the stuff toy Six was eyeing then gave it to her since he got more tickets. Six got a Fiona clothes pin, cuz that was the only one she was familiar with.
The two walked on out talking who beated who in the arcade when Six's stomach suddenly grumbled, it didn't grumble like before but this time it grumbled louder.
"Six are you okay?" Seven asked, Six shook her head, "My stomach hurts... like.... it's a hunger strike," she said, her stomach squelched once again and Six gripped on her stomach, wincing.
Seven's face became grim, "Okay," he said and saw a park, "Let's go to the park and I'll get us something to eat," he said and Six weakly nodded. Seven carefully took her to the park and made her sit on the bench while he ran off to the closest food stand.
Her stomach squelched and Six winced, it hurt like back at her nightmares and at That Incident.
"You think you wouldn't bring anything from the Nightmare World?" Shadow Six's words echoed into Six's mind and her eyes widened upon realizing it.
She didn't just brought Shadow Six to this world - but also her hunger.
Six's stomach growled again and Six winced, it hurt so badly. Seven came running up and holding two hotdogs. He quickly handed Six hers and she ate it like her life depended on it, Seven sat beside her holding his hotdog, watching her worriedly.
When Six finished the hotdog she felt better, she sighed out and slumped back on her seat, "Thanks Sev," she said and Seven nodded, smiling softly while bushing a strand of Six's hair on the back of her ear, "Anything for you Six, want my hotdog too?"
"Can I?"
"You can," he said while handing the other hotdog and Six ate it slower than the other one. Six saw him still looking at her worried, she swallowed her food and glanced at him, "What?"
"You just had a hunger strike," Seven pointed it out, "And you never did before," he said. Six sighed, "I know... Probably an effect from... That Incident," she said.
Seven frowned, "That Incident has changed us so much huh?" He said while leaning back from the bench and looking up at the sky, Six frowned while biting all of her hotdog and eating it up, "Yeah," she said sadly.
"But hey, we wouldn't know about our feelings for each other if we didn't," Seven said while leaning forward and looking at her, Six smiled, "Yeah, we wouldn't. I wouldn't know you had a crush on me for so long," she said in a sing song voice.
"Okay I wasn't aware about it back then, and only realizied it about now," Seven said. Six giggled, "Then that makes you innocent before, kinda cute knowing you liked me back at second grade," she said and Seven blushed, "Shut up," he mumbled and Six giggled, kissing Seven's cheek.
"Nah, cuz you're such a cutie~" Six teased and side hugged him, Seven smiled and hugged back, "But I'm your cutie," he said while booping Six's nose, making her a bit cross eyed.
"Not gonna deny that," Six giggled and booped Seven. Seven frowned, "Hey why did you boop me?"
"Cuz you booped me, it's only fair to boop back," Six said and Seven rolled his eyes, "Nooooo I am only allowed to boop you."
Six pouted, "Really?"
Seven glared at Six playfully, "Not the pout."
"I am aware of my powers and I'll use it," she said and Seven groaned, "No."
Six pouted and stook out her tongue, "No he says," she said.
"You're lucky I love you."
"Yeah I know I am lucky you love me."
Six leaned on Seven and they watched while the sunset slowly set over the horizon, Six smiled. After all that, they can finally rest and enjoy the normal life, even if the adventure will haunt them, they'll be okay...
But wait....
This isn't the end of the test.
