Planet: Earth

Location: Cave of Justice

My father and I sat on the cold ground of a large cave we had found. The cave overlooked the darkening forest and on the horizon thick black smoke rose high into the air. I felt a pain in my heart thinking about what the humans were going through. I wanted so badly to save them but my father had insisted we worked out a strategy first.

"Father, I do not understand why I simply cannot attack, I could—"

"I will not risk you being harmed."

A sigh left my throat, I looked up and locked gazes with my father. "The possibility of me being harmed is high no matter what we do. You know this, Father."

"I do not want to lose you, not again."

"Father, please. You know I can do this." Standing to my feet I turned towards the exit of the cave. "If I do not help this planet will meet the same doom as ours did. Surely this is not what you want?"

"I do not care about these humans, I only care about you, my daughter. But if they mean as much to you as you say, then—" I felt his hand on my right shoulder, I turned around and he smiled. "Then we will save them but we must have a plan."

"I have one."

My father raised his brows at me then folded his arms across his chest. "Which is?"

I closed my eyes allowing the energy to flow freely through me, every vein in my body glowed brightly. I looked at my father in the eye.

"Jewels, your eyes," he gasped. He reached out to touch my face but I backed away. "Your eyes, they glow."

Looking down at a small muddy puddle on the rocky ground I could see what my father meant. Not only were my veins glowing but my blue eyes were replaced with a white glow. Even the veins on my arms seemed to glow more brightly. Perhaps it was because I finally allowed the energy within me to take over or it could be because I was free.

"I am going to rescue them, Father. I will not stand by and watch another world crumble."

My father placed his hands on my shoulders. "I believe in you, my daughter. Now go."

"What?" He would never allow me to go, more so alone. "You will not stop me?"

He shook his head and then smiled. "No, because as I have said before I believe in you and I know you can do this. So go, go save the humans you have grown to love." He dropped both of hands to his sides. "I will join you shortly, until then be careful. I love you."

I closed my eyes briefly and leapt forwards wrapping my arms around my father, who instantly hugged back. "I love you, too. I will, I promise."

He stepped away from me. "Let the energy flow through you, let it become one with you."

Accepting his words, I turned away from my father and walked towards the exit of the cave.

"Remember, you are not a monster, Jewels. You can do this."

Nodding my head I closed my eyes and focused on the energy within. I could feel it flowing through my veins down my legs and into my feet. "I will not give up." With a grunt I leaped off the ground, the energy pushing me high into the air.

Looking back I could see my father standing at the entrance of the cave with a smile on his face.

My body glowed brightly as I flew across the night sky. Each time I began to fall I used the energy to lift me off the ground again.

I knew that this may be my only chance to save the humans, but in doing so I could be destroyed and that was a chance I was willing to take.

"Please be okay, I am coming."

Location: Camp Jameson

Morgan, High Commander of the Zutorian's, laughed as he stepped off the mothership and onto the ground.

"Stupid humans," he approached the residents of Camp Jameson. "You will tell me where the energy source is that I seek." His eyes narrowed at Lucy, "Bring me the female."

Two of Morgan's soldiers walked up to Lucy and roughly grabbed her arms.

"Let me go!" she demanded and landed at Morgan's feet with a thud.

Jeremy went to step forward but Brett and James stopped him, saying, "It's not worth it." Grunting, Jeremy stayed where he was.

Morgan knelt down to Lucy's level. "Tell me where Jewels Adamore is and I will let you live."

"Why would I trust you?" Lucy spat in his face. "You destroyed Jewels's planet, what makes you think any of us will trust a single word that comes out of your disgusting mouth?"

Using his left claw he wiped spit from his scaly cheek. "I find you intriguing, but if you will not tell me where Jewels is then I will destroy this place that you call home." Turning around he nodded at a tall Zutorian. "Let us show these humans we are not to be messed with. Launch the weapon."

A light lit up the night sky while some buildings in the camp continued to burn. As the light became brighter, Morgan smirked.

"Zutorians will be the new rulers of your planet. However if you do not tell me where the energy source is you will be destroyed." The light, now an oval-shaped, landed in the abandoned city. Seconds later an explosion rocked the area. "Let this be a warning."

"No, we won't betray Jewels." James turned his attention from the yellow-red glow on the horizon where the city once stood and looked at Morgan. "We won't tell you anything."

Jeremy placed his hand on his cousin's shoulder. "We can't tell you because we don't know where she is."

"Even if we did, we wouldn't tell you," Brett cut in, folding his arms.

Morgan chuckled loudly and pulled out an object which looked like some type of spear, only its tip was glowing purple. "You think I am an idiot? Humans are not valuable to me, and since you will not tell me, then—" pointing the spear at Mick, Morgan narrowed his eyes. "Then I will dispose of you."

The tip of the spear began to pulse brighter and then a beam of purple light was released with a hiss like that of a snake, the beam soared through the air towards Mick whose eyes widened. As the beam of light was merely inches away, a blast of energy hit the beam; destroying it.

Morgan searched for the source of the blast and when he did not find it he growled. "Fine, I will kill them with my claws." Taking a step towards the group, he licked his teeth. "I wonder what humans taste like, I am about to find—"

Something lit up the entire area and landed between the Zutorians and humans. When it hit the ground a small crater was created causing the ground to shake and the Zutorians and Camp Jameson members to lose their balance.

Jeremy pushed himself off the ground, his eyes landing on something, no, not something, someone standing before Morgan. The skin covering the person was shining as brightly, if not brighter than the sun.

Her blonde hair flowed through the air with the slight breeze and her face was unrecognisable due to the light radiating off her skin. Jeremy gasped when she turned around and smiled. He noticed her eyes were no longer blue or held any normal colour, instead they were like orbs of light.

"Morgan, High Commander of the Zutorians," with one arm stretched out in front of her she turned around to face the Zutorians and pointed at Morgan. "I, Jewels Adamore of Everotorn, call you out to battle."
