Planet: Earth

Location: Forbidden Forest (outside ROGS compound)

I had this bad feeling like something bad was about to happen or is happening.

I think James noticed because he asked, "Jewels, are you sure you're alright?"

"I am fine," I replied a bit too harshly. "Sorry, but yes, I am okay."

"You don't seem it." His fingers laced with mine as we followed Lucy and Nathan. "If you're worried, you don't have to come."

"Do not ask me to stay behind, James. I will help rescue your people because they are also my people."

He nods, bringing our hands to his mouth and plants a kiss on mine. "Alright, just promise me you'll stay safe."

"I cannot promise." It was true, I would risk my life to save those I love. "I will not stop until they are free."

Jeremy suddenly appeared in my mind and deep within my heart I hoped he was okay.

"James, mate, the entrance is in that river." Nathan stops and turns around. "It's a ... um—"

"Waste exit," Lucy finished for him. "So if you don't mind a little crap then you should be fine."

"We're going to smell so badly, I doubt we'll reach our people without anyone smelling us," Tom pointed out.

"That's why we have suits." Lucy walked over to a hollow tree and pulls out some black suits. "I hid these here a while ago."

"So you still have brains," James remarked with a smirk causing Lucy to roll her eyes.

"We don't have time for this," Tom scoffed and begins to put on a suit.

Once we were all suited up, Nathan lead us to the edge of the water. He and Lucy instructed we were to follow them.

So we did.

Lucy, Tom and Nathan walked into the water until it was up to their waist. I turned and looked at James.

He was not near the water.

"James? Are you coming?" Tom called out causing James to gulp.

"Jewels, I can't swim remember?" I walked over to him and took his face between my hands. "What are you—"

I smashed my lips against his, kissing him passionately. His hands fall on my waist as James kissed me back but I pulled away. "I love you, I will not let you drown." My fingers brushed along his cheekbones. "I promise, James."

His hazel eyes stared into my blue ones as his lips curled up in the corners. "I trust you, babe, just don't let go of me."

I kiss him again and smiled against his lips.

"If you lovebirds are finished, we'd like to get going already," Nathan's voice caused us to pull apart.

James releases me but holds my hand, "Let's go, Jewels."

I nodded and then walked into the water with James beside me. Minutes later we were both beneath the surface, James clinging onto me for his life. I used the energy within me to light the way, my hand glowing through the water.

Nathan and Lucy lead us into an underwater cave before surfacing, Tom was next to surface followed by me and James.

"You did well." I smiled walking out of the water with James.

James returns the smile and places a kiss on my temple. "Thank you for not letting go of me."

"I would never allow you to drown, James," I replied intertwining our fingers.

"I feel like I'm gonna be sick." Lucy shook her head then looked at Nathan. "I think I know where they're holding them."

Nathan nodded in agreement, "Same, I know a short cut."

As we moved through the silent hallways following Nathan and Lucy, I could not shake the feeling that something felt wrong. It was too quiet.

James's hand never left mine, I saw him looking at me before he whispered, "Is it just me or does something not feel right?"

"Could be a trap," Tom pointed out as we came to a fork in the hallway. "We should split up."

I was about to open my mouth when James said, "I agree."

So we did, Lucy, Tom and Nathan went left while James and I went right.

"Stay behind me," James told me but when I frowned at him, he stops and takes my face between his hands. "I love you, please stay behind me." His lips pressed against my temple.

"I can take care of—"

He quickly placed a hand over my mouth and moved me against the wall. "Someone's coming," James whispered shielding my body with his own.

"He doesn't want to be disturbed," A voice bounced off the walls in the darkness. "I said he's busy! Come back later."

James takes my hand, and to my surprise, we walked towards the voices. It lead us to a cross section. James poked his head around the corner then looked back at me.

"I see one guard standing outside—"

"Stop! You'll kill him!"

My body tensed at the sound of Brett's voice.

Before James had a chance to do anything I let the energy within me free.

"Jewels!"

Ignoring James, I left the safety of the corner.

When the guard sees me he instantly raises his gun in front of him. I quickly jump into the air twisting my body so that I was standing upside down on the roof above him and then I push my feet off and crashed into him.

My glowing hand made contact with his cold flesh and he turned into nothing but a pile of ashes on the ground.

With my veins still glowing and the energy surging throughout them, I burst open the steel door in front of me.

"Jewels, wait!"

But it was too late, my eyes instantly fall on Derek.

"You!" I growled unleashing more energy.

He smirks, "Nice of you to join us, but you're too late."

The second he moves aside, my heart shatters and I could hear James gasp behind me.

There, laying on the ground covered in his own scarlet red blood, was—"

"Oh, my god, Jeremy!" James pushes passed me but Derek quickly holds a gun to an unconscious Mick's head.

I did not even notice Mick or Brett until Derek grabbed Mick.

"Not so far, another step and I blow his brains out," Derek threatened pressing his gun under Mick's chin. "Would be a shame for someone else to die, wouldn't it, Jewels?"

"You will be the next to die!"

Derek laughed at my words. "Yeah? From where I stand, it looks like you're doing a pretty good job of killing. I mean, look at you, the almighty Jewels. Destroyer of worlds."

His words cut right through me.

He was right, I have become death, destroyer of worlds.

Without thinking my feet moved and in a matter of seconds, I had Derek pushed up against a wall, Mick's body fell to the ground. I focused on the monster in front of me.

"You took so much from me," I growled allowing my energy to flow into his body from my hand which was around his neck. "Now I—"

"Kill me and you'll have the whole world after you," he spat, a smirk on his face. "Everyone knows, Jewels, you're not safe anywhere."

"Jewels!" James's voice brings me back, I turned my head to see him kneeling next to his cousin. His bottom lip trembles as Jeremy's blood soaks James's shirt and pants. "He's gone, Jewels."

I released Derek, not even turning to look back at the monster as I quickly made my way over to James.

"Jeremy's dead."

But..... Do you think Jewels can save Jeremy?

Cuz, if she doesn't. I'm going to force myself in the book and kill Derek myself
