One Earth week later ...
Planet: Earth
Location: Unknown
It has been seven days since these horrid people had captured me. They have not fed me, only given me water to keep me hydrated. I would have killed them all if they did not use that pink gas which kept me paralysed. Every day I was moved to another part of the city, well, under it. I expected it was so that no one could find or attempt to rescue me.
The metal door unlocked and lights turned on, causing me to cover my eyes with my hands.
"Get up," a guard, known as Edward, stepped in after opening the door. "Don't make me use this gas again." He pointed to his backpack.
"I am too weak to walk," I told him because it was the truth.
Edward walked over to me and pulled me up from my current sitting position. "Derek, she's ready."
I gulped upon hearing that name, Derek was here? My question was answered when he walked through the door, his hair almost looked black under the little light hanging from the roof. He wore jeans and a plain black shirt and a smirk was formed on his lips.
"Hello, my little monster. I trust you're well?" I almost scoffed at his question but I do not talk. "Bring her here." He waved at Edward who pushes my weakened body to Derek. I pull my head away when Derek grabbed my chin examining my face. "Stop being a child and let me see."
I spit on his face. "Get your fingers off me."
With a raised hand he slaps me and then turned to Edward. "I'm taking her."
"That wasn't the deal," the voice, I recognised as Reg, said outside in the hall. "You said she stays here with us."
"Sorry, the deals off." Derek chuckled and pulled my body away from Edward. "I'm surprised, you should know me by now, I don't keep my deals."
"Why you—"
There was a loud noise like that of thunder followed by the shaking of the walls around us. Pieces of the roof fell to the floor.
"That's my signal to leave, sorry boys. Camp Jameson really have taken a liking to her, but she's mine." Derek picked my body up and threw me over his shoulder. I tried to kick and punch him but I did not have enough strength.
Derek began running along the underground tunnel, but someone bumped into him causing both of them, and me, to fall.
I rolled onto my side and watched one of the men who kept me prisoner knock Derek unconscious, he then stands to his feet and walks over to me.
"Miss me, gorgeous?" Using his boots Reg kicked my side and my body was forced on its back. "Too bad if you did because the way I see it if we can't have you ..." Reg removed a blade from a side pocket and held it above my body, "then no one will—"
"Stop or I'll shoot!"
Reg seemed not to care about the warning because he looked into my eyes then there was only pain followed by the glow of my blood. I felt the blade dig deeper into my flesh just below my rib cage. The sound of a gunshot echoed through the tunnel and Reg's eyes rolled back, his body falling to the ground next to me.
"Jewels!" Came a voice I knew all too well, turning my head I could see James running towards me with Jeremy and Lucy keeping guard.
James made it to my side, his eyes scanning my body until they fell on the place where the blade was embedded in my flesh. "Crap, Jewels, I need to pull this out. It'll hurt, just try not to make a sound."
"Hurry up, James!" Lucy yelled from a distance. "They probably know we're here so make it fast."
"I know! But Jewels is hurt." I felt the blade shift and I looked down to find James's hands wrapped around the small blade buried in me. "Hey, no, look at me, Jewels, keep your eyes on me."
I did as he said and kept my eyes locked with his hazel ones. I bite down on my lip feeling pain spread throughout my body. He jerked the blade upwards and out of my body sending another wave of pain.
James watched as I opened my mouth to scream, but I was shut out by his lips which closed over mine. I was confused, I did not know what I was feeling. He moved his mouth against mine, but I did not know what to do so I kept my mouth still.
His eyes suddenly widened and he pulled away from me. "You need to keep pressure," taking one of my hands in his, he places it over my injury, "keep your hand right here."
I nodded without saying a word.
He flashed a smile and then picked me up with one arm under my knees and the other under my back. I could not help the groan that left my throat. "Alright, let's get her out of here."
"Lucy, stay behind them if you see any movement kill them,"Jeremy instructed. She gives a nod, and with her gun raised, she walked behind James and me. Jeremy then began to slowly make his way through the tunnel.
When James followed I groaned again and he pulled my body closer against his chest. "Stay quiet, Jewels."
"It hurts," I told him, and it was the truth. This hurt more than when I was shot, the pain was intense.
"James, if they don't hear us, they'll see us with her blood." Jeremy suddenly comes to a stop and turned around to face us. "Here, use my jacket," he said, removing his black jacket from himself and placing it over my body.
The sound of people yelling behind us caused Jeremy and James to once again move through the tunnel with Lucy behind us.

Many Earth years ago ...
Planet: Everotorn
Location: Grand Court of Valpatria
"She should be kept somewhere safe," my father replied to the kings of our allies. I stood next to my father. "She is our daughter."
"That matters not, surely the King and Queen of Everotorn can see the monster in her?" a council member of Valpatria remarked.
My father slammed his hands on the table in front of us. "Do not call her a monster!"
I spoke up and with a shaky voice, "But it is true."
"Jewels," my mother tried to shut me.
I did not listen to her. "They are right." I looked around at the table filled with council members, kings and queens from Valpatria planets. "There is one word which describes me," I continued, my mother's eyes locked with mine, I could see the tears in them that she tried so hard to hide. "For it is the truth. That word is ..."
"Monster!" an unknown voice spoke from behind. "You are a monster, that is what you are and that is what you should be treated as."
I turned to face the president. "It is true, I am a monster."
