All That Happens On The Couch

~~💔~~

Geno let out a yawn. He had been sitting quietly with Reaper on the couch as usual, reading an interesting novel.

"Tired?" Reaper asked, looking up from a book he was reading as well. It had a leathery black cover, the binding made of a couple of raven bones. It appeared ancient.

"Kind of." Geno sighed, his gaze faltering. "I mean, I think I consumed enough caffeine for it to probably be my new 'blood stream' now."

"Heh. I guess I'm the only one which is a coffee man, then." Reaper chuckled, grabbing a warm mug of coffee and sipping it.

"Pfft. Yeah. I think you live off of the stuff."

"Hey, if coffee disappeared from the world forever, I would probably die right then and there."

"Wait, really?"

"Yes. Because I am one-hundred percent serious,  Geno."

Geno rolled his non-existent eyes. "I was just curious, geez."

"What, are you going to find a way to make coffee disappear? If you are, I'm just gonna have to stop you right there."
For the first time, Reaper's empty eye-sockets shown a brilliant blue iris, similar to the one Geno had in his left eye-socket.
It was blazing dangerously, a silent threat lingering in it's stare.

Geno blinked, then poured magic into his left eye-socket as well. "Look, we're glowing buddies." Geno laughed, his 'eye' shining as well.

Reaper's terrifying expression morphed into a jovial smile. "Oh my god, Geno, I was trying to be scary."

"OH, SO NOW YOU WANT TO BE SCARY, HUH?" Geno smiled, his iris turning back to it's usual snow white.

"Hey, you were threatening my life supply of happiness." Reaper retorted, taking a considerably large gulp of his beverage.

"Heh..." Geno's smile wavered.

His life supply, huh? Geno's life supply used to be his fam-

He paused.

Oh god. What had he been doing? He knew that he decided to stop worrying about them, but...It was his FAMILY. Something might have happened to them. Something really, REALLY terrible. They all might be suffering as he just sat on his lazy *ss and did nothing.

God, he was a terrible person. He knew the kid was still alive. The main threat to all the ones he loved. Why did he stop? The whole reason for him to stay alive was to stop the main threat at all costs. Why was he sitting around and doing nothing? He was supposed to be working on a way to kill the demon...

or...
Erase his world forever. That was the most successful idea out of his options.

What if there was a different way to erase his world?

To end it?

What if-

"Geno?" The skeleton blinked, turning back to Reaper.

Geno forcefully stuffed his thoughts to the back of his head, clearing his mind. "Yes?"

"Uh...you were spacing out there."

"Well, I guess I'm just 'out of this world' then."

"...That was terrible." Reaper snickered.

"Heh...yeah."

"...Are you okay?"

Geno met Reaper's concerned stare. His eyes were back to it's comfortable emptiness. "Uh. Yeah, why'd you ask?"

"Maybe because I am concerned about my best friend." The last two words sounded as if they were strained."

Geno blinked. "Uh. Alright. There isn't anything wrong with me."

Reaper scanned over Geno for a few more seconds before letting out a sigh and going back to his book. "Just...if you have anything you want to talk about...I'm here."

"Right back at you. It sounded like you struggled with some of your words there."

Reaper cursed under his breathe. "W-Well, I didn't mean for it to sound like that."

"Oh. Alright, Best friend."

The god noticeably cringed at the words, forcing Geno to hold back his laughter.
"Well then, is there something you want to tell me?" Geno asked, smiling comically. The god stuffed his face into his book, his blue-tinted expression causing Geno's laughs to finally spill. "WOW REAPER, SO SMOOTH."

"Shut up! I'll have you know, I have a reputation of being the smoothest person on the planet!"

"Really?"

"Really."

"That's a big shocker. I could have sworn that Ms.Toriel was a lot more composed than yo-"

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I AM WAY COOLER THAN HER." He took a distressed drink of his coffee, jugging it down eagerly.

"So 'cool'." Geno joked, watching as Reaper downed the whole cup.

Once he was finished, the god wiped his mouth with his sleeve. "AND YOU KNOW IT."

"Pfft. Alright. I dub you the smoothest of all smooth." Geno laughed, holding up his right hand in a ceremonic gesture.

"And I dub you the cutest of cute." Reaper added, grasping onto his composure.

Now it was Geno's turn to become flustered. "I told you, I'm not cute! I'm fabulous!"

"Yeah, I know." Reaper let out a small chuckle. He pulled Geno into his arms after setting down his mug on the coffee table. "But you are also adorable~." Reaper laid them down so that Geno was lying on top of him on his 'stomach'.

"Reaper.  What are you doing?" Geno blankly asked.

The cloaked skeleton simply shushed him, softly beginning to hum.

Geno continued to lay there, listening to him. The tune danced around the room, elegantly swaying. It was peaceful and...beautiful. Slowly, Geno closed his eye-socket, continuing to listen. Reaper's rib-cage vibrated with each note, allowing Geno to feel the music.
As the song progressed, the room started to fade around the two. The scarfed skeleton was so entranced that the world around him was a simple blur of colors and textures.
The only thing present was the sweet and savory sound of Reaper's quiet humming.

It was nice.

(Keep listening to the music for added effect!)

The sound soon died down to a soft whisper as the song came to its end.

Reaper, having been focusing on both Geno and his humming, finally awoke first from the cozy atmosphere. "Hey...Geno?"

The skeleton perked up at his name, snapping him out of his trance. "Hm?"

"I just...wanted to ask if you would...uh..." Reaper's voice progressively got softer, his face turning a faint blue.

"Ask what?"

"...I..." Reaper attempted to take a deep breathe, having a little difficulty because of the person on top of him. "I...Wanted to say...That I really want to...possibly...spend more time with you?"

"Uh. Alright."  Geno replied, completely relaxed.

"...as a couple."

Geno's relaxed state completely shattered and fell into the depths of hell. "Wh-What?!"

"Oh god, forget I said anything."Reaper hurriedly squeaked, a look of heart break flashing across his face.

"No, No, it's not like that! I...I..." Geno was panicking.
He loved Reaper as well, but didn't know how to tell him.

At a loss of words, Geno simply leaned forward, forcing their mouths to meet.

~~💀~~

Reaper couldn't breathe.

Geno was kissing him.

His face flushed heavily as Geno quickly withdrew.
"Reaper...I..." Geno attempted to form words, his face heavily dusted with blue. "I...do love you."

Time ceased as Reaper froze.

His heart stopped.

His mind went blank.

His body felt as if it were going to burn the other.

Everything in the world didn't matter anymore.

"...You...?" Reaper mumbled with a hushed tone.

Geno took in a shaky breathe, before meeting Reaper's 'eyes'. "I love you."

The god's heart had left Reaper and soared off into the dazzling sky, threatening to never return. "..."

"Reaper?"

Reaper simply couldn't breathe.

For how long he had dreamed of this moment, daring not to think it was going to become a reality.

However, here they were right now.

"R-Reaper?" Geno tried again, poking at the god's face.

Reaper quickly let out a soft noise similar to a deflating balloon.
"...Uh-?"

"I can't breathe. Geno, I can't breathe." Reaper gasped, clutching at his chest.

~~💔~~

Geno quickly got off of him, allowing the taller to take a nice big gulp of fresh air.

Once his breathing was working, Reaper sat up and turned to Geno. "Geno, I..."

"No, I'm sorry. I didn't know you couldn't breathe. Man, I must be really heav-"

"NO,  NOT THAT! Just...I'm really, really happy." Reaper correct Geno, a happy grin forming on his face.

"Oh." Is all Geno said, his soul feeling fluttery.

"Well... I guess I can call you my sweet heart~." Reaper cooed, bringing Geno into a tight hug.

"Oh god, do I have to give you mushy nicknames now?"

"If you want~."

"Alright, *ss face."

"PFFT. WOW."

"It's my little nickname for you. Don't you like it?"

"Geno. Why do you hate me so?"

"Nah, I love you, Reaper."

"Hm. Do you really?"

Geno pulled away from the hug, flashing a menacing and stern glare. "Yes." He stated seriously, staring right through Reaper.

"Alright, Alright. I believe you."

The smaller gave Reaper look before flashing his iris blue again. "Wait, Reaper, look. I'm a lamp." Geno laughed, his pupil turning on and off.

"Pffft. Now we're both lamps." Reaper added, doing the same.

"We are such huge dorks."

"I know."

"But at least we can be dorks together."

"Mmhmm~." The god set a small bony kiss onto Geno's skull, trapping him in another hug.

The two then laid back down on the couch in each other's arms, beginning to slowly lull to sleep.

For the first time in a very, very long time, the nightmares that haunted Geno for centuries were fended away by his sleeping new found lover.

Reaper.
