Apparently I made a big mistake...

I don't care.

What I did to the Marauders and what they did to me spread like wildfire over the last week. Everyone all of a sudden knew me. People were congratulating me for hexing James, everyone wanted to know what I did to Sirius after. I should've hexed him too though... and everyone was wondering why they threw me in the lake. The Marauders, however kept Pranking me. As revenge for "James's beautiful face and how I ruined it by using the pimple jinx." Of course, they knew the counter-curse so James is fine... Unfortunately. And Remus is the only Marauder that I can actually talk normally too. The other three's conversations end in pranks or hexes.

I grabbed my books and walked out the door. As I walked past the door frame my foot touched a small tripwire and suddenly a bucket of slime spilled on top of me. I screamed and jumped backwards.

"Third time this week." Marlene said, grinning.

"I am going to kill those four-" I sighed. "Why do I bother? I'm getting changed." I walked back to the bathroom to get changed again.

We walked to the Great Hall and Marlene sat across from the Marauders. I glared at her slightly as the Alice sat beside her. Lily and I looked around for any more seats. Damn there's a lot of Gryffindors... Lily and I sighed and slowly sat beside Marlene and Alice.
James grinned at Lily. "Hey Evans, go out with-"

"No." Lily said simply and started eating. James grinned and nodded.

"What's up Fall?" Sirius asked. I looked at him and the others.

"Thanks for the slime." I said, gritting my teeth. They grinned, except for Remus who rolled his eyes and took a bite of the chocolate bar he had in his hand.

"Remus, isn't it a bit to early for chocolate?" Marlene asked.

"Nope." Remus answered.

"It's only nine-"

"I don't know what you're talking about."

"Can I have some?" I asked. The Marauders gasped. I looked at them. "What?"

"If Remus doesn't give us chocolate. Then he won't give you chocolate." Peter said. I rolled my eyes and smiled sweetly at Remus.

"Can I have some? Please?" I asked sweetly.

"Um-" Remus frowned and looked at his chocolate then me.

"Pretty please?"

"NO DON'T LISTEN TO HER!!!" The other three Marauders yelled and jumped up. Lily, Marlene and Alice started laughing.

"She has this weird Veela magic!" Sirius exclaimed, pointing at me.

"I'm not Veela!" I stated. "Just a little bit of chocolate?"

"We told you! He doesn't give us chocolate so why would he-" James said.

"Please Remus?" Remus broke a bit off.

"ARE YOU CRAZY?!?" James and Sirius yelled.

"Nope." Remus grinned at me then ate the small piece he broke.

"That's just mean." I stated. Sirius and James snickered. "Oh shut up. It's not like he gives you chocolate."

"Right... Remus we're your best friends." Sirius put an arm around Remus. "Well me especially." James scoffed.

"No we all know I'm better." He said. Lily and Marlene coughed loudly. "What's that meant to mean?"

"No no. Don't listen to Prongs, we all know I'm better."

"Yeah right! At least I don't flirt with different girls every day."

"At least I don't flirt with the same girl all day long."

"He has a point." Lily stated.

"And? None of you will get the chocolate." I said.

"You're one to talk." James said. "Like you're going to get it."

"Oh it's a shame you figured out the pimple jinx counter-curse. It really suited you."

"Why you little-" He stood up.

"While you all have been arguing. I've been eating chocolate." Remus said, showing us the empty chocolate wrapper. "I wasn't going to give any of you chocolate anyway." We stared at him and sighed with annoyance, before sitting down. Marlene, Alice and Lily laughed.

"Yeah, I already knew you weren't going to give chocolate to..." James gestured to me. "That thing..." I gasped and stood up furiously.

"What?!" I exclaimed. "You're one to talk Potter."

"Am I now?" James grinned.

"You are so dead!" I grabbed my wand and pointed it at him. He did the same.

"And you're a b*tch." Everyone including me gasped. I smirked suddenly.

"You say what you are." I said sweetly and smiled innocently. He glared at me with pure hatred.

"Petrificus To-" Lily and Remus stood up suddenly.

"Look at the time!! We have to go to class!!" Lily yelled, grabbing my hand.

"And we have to set up that prank..." Remus said to the Marauders. They looked at him confusingly.

"What prank?" Peter asked.

"That prank." Remus said, nudging him. "The one you were talking about... with the slime."

"Moony, we did that already." Sirius said.

"No no. Not that one I mean... The one on Snape...." He glanced at us. "Go." He mouthed. Lily nodded and dragged me away.

Marlene and Alice soon followed. "Why did you drag me away?!" I asked. "I was going to hex him!"

"I know! And he was going to hex you! Do you really want a Detention?" Lily stated.

"Well no..."

"Exactly. Besides we have Potions now." We walked to the Dungeons where we had Potions.

"Good morning girls!!" Professor Slughorn said excitedly. "Ah Ms Evans! You're a Prefect!"

"Yes Professor." Lily smiled sheepishly. The rest of the class, including the Marauders came in. We sat as far away from them as possible. James glared at me. I glared back. We glared at each other as Professor Slughorn started talking.

Alice nudged me. "Are you listening?" I looked at her.

"What?" I questioned. She sighed.

"Now you will be paired up to make the Hate Potion. I will be choosing." The class groaned. "Now... Ms Bellatrix Black with Mr Malfoy, Mr Black with Mr Avery." Sirius groaned loudly. "Mr Snape with Ms Evans." Lily and the Slytherin Boy with Greasy hair smiled slightly. "Ms McKinnon with Mr Pettigrew, Ms Fortescue with Mr Longbottom." Alice and the other Gryffindor Boy in our year smiled widely. I'm guessing that was Frank, the guy that Alice obviously had a crush on. "Mr Lupin with Ms McDonald. Which leaves, Ms Fall with Mr Potter."

"NO!!!" I screamed and covered my mouth immediately, everyone looked at me.

"Is there a problem Ms Fall?" I blushed with embarrassment.

"I'm sorry Professor but did you say-"

"I said you will be paired up with Mr Potter." I bit my lip. "You will be paired up for the rest of the year. And will be required to sit with them." I felt like screaming and hitting my head on the table. The class sighed and walked over to their partners. I grabbed my stuff and walked over to James slowly and grumpily.

I glared at him and sat down. He seemed distracted, he kept looking in Lily's direction. Not surprising. I grabbed my cauldron and placed it on the desk furiously. He didn't seem to notice.

"Let's just make this bloody potion." I mumbled and walked over to get the ingredients. I came back and opened my book. He was still glaring at Severus Snape. "Potter! Oi! What are you staring-" I looked at Snape, who was working peacefully with Lily. I grinned. "You're-"

"Yeah let's work on this potion." He said and looked away from Snape. I laughed.

"No no. You're jealous! James Potter is jealous!" I exclaimed. He glared at me.

"I am not jealous. Who says I was?" I laughed again.

"You're jealous of Severus Snape! He's Lily's friend isn't he?" He frowned and I grinned.

"I am not jealous of Snivellus."

"That's exactly what a jealous person would say." He glared at me and I laughed.

"You're right-"

"Am I now?" I grinned even more.

"Don't push your luck." He said coolly. "Now what are we meant to be doing?"

"Making a potion. That's why we're in Potions, idiot." James glared at me and grabbed his book.

"Which one?"

"Hate." He nodded and we started working on the potion.

"You know... I think you did the potion wrong." James said after a while, leaning back on his chair. I frowned and looked at the potion.

"No I am 100% sure I got this right!!" I exclaimed, reading the instructions again.

"Maybe you're not as good as you think you are Fall." I groaned with frustration.

"You're one to talk Potter! You're just sitting there doing nothing!" He grinned and grabbed one of the ingredients. Which was a leech.

"Nope, I'm adding this ingredient." He held up the leech over the cauldron. My eyes widened.

"No! Don't! You're going to ruin-" He dropped the leech and immediately the cauldron exploded. I screamed. Our potion spilled onto the floor. "POTTER!!!"

Professor Slughorn walked over to us. "What's going on?"

"Isabel added the wrong ingredient!" James exclaimed. I stared at him.

"I added the wrong ingredient?! You added the bloody leech! It was perfectly fine!!"

"No it wasn't! If you let me do the potion it wouldn't have blown up!"

"You weren't even working on the potion! You were sitting there, staring at Lily!"

"I was not! I was looking through the Potions-"

"Detention Mr Potter!" Professor Slughorn exclaimed.

"Ha!" I grinned at James. He stuck out his tongue at me.

"And Ms Fall." My grin faded. James grinned.

"What?!"

"In my office. Tonight. Both of you." I opened my mouth to protest but thought against it and sat back down, sending James a death glare.

"I hate you."

"The feeling is mutual." He replied, also sitting down.

After the bell went I grabbed my stuff immediately and walked over to the girls.

"What happened?" Alice asked.

"I got Detention." I mumbled.

"How?" Marlene added. I sighed with annoyance.

"James added the wrong ingredient! Then the potion blew up and he blamed it on me! I hate him so much! He's a stupid, idiotic, dumb, arrogant, annoying, big - headed toe-rag!"

"Excuse me?!" We turned around and saw the Marauders, James, Sirius and Peter glared at me while Remus looked bored.

I glared at James. "Yeah, I called you a stupid, idiotic, dumb, arrogant, annoying, big-headed toe-rag!" Sirius grabbed his wand but James stopped him and grinned.

"You say what you are." He stuttered off. I gasped as the Marauders followed. Sirius grinned and winked at me. Remus sighed and gave me a 'Sorry' look. And Peter smiled and followed. I stared at where they walked off.

"Well that went-" I dropped my books into Lily's hands.

"Hold my stuff." I said, and was about to walk off.

"Where are you going?" Marlene asked. I turned to her.

"I'm going to go kill some Marauders." I ran off as they sighed.

I found them on their way to the Gryffindor Tower. I grabbed James's shirt and shoved him against the wall. The other three yelled in alarm. I grabbed my wand and pointed it at James's throat. He looked at me and put his hands in the air.

"What did I do this time?" He asked with a bored expression.

"You got me detention." I said. James rolled his eyes.

"You said that before Fall. Now if you would let me go. I have stuff to do."

"Well that stuff can wait! Listen here Potter, I don't know who you think you are-"

"HI PROFESSOR MCGONAGALL!!!!" He shouted. I let go of him and turned around quickly. I frowned, not seeing Professor McGonagall anywhere. I turned around again to see James pointing his wand at me.

"You're so gullible." James said. Sirius and Peter snickered.

"What is the meaning of all your fighting anyway?!" Remus asked. "In my opinion it's pretty stupid." James and I stared at him.

"Moony do you understand what's she's done?" James asked, sounding solemn. "She hexed me. Me!!"

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to ruin your beautiful face!" I said sarcastically.

"Yeah you should be sorry!!"

"And Remus, he threw me in the lake! Not to mention that he called me a bitch."

"Besides she's annoying."

"Thank you."

"That wasn't meant to be a complement."

"I know."

Remus rolled his eyes. "Why do I bother...?" We shrugged and I turned back to James, holding my wand up higher.

"Titillando!" James waved his wand. Immediately, I started laughing like invisible fingers were tickling me. I fell the floor laughing. James grinned. I laughed again, almost crying. "See you in Detention!" He and the Marauders walked off, leaving me laughing until my sides hurt.

I sat in the Great Hall with Alice, Marlene and Lily, eating dinner. "I'm glad Professor Slughorn paired me and Sev together." Lily said.

"Yeah, Frank told me this really funny joke. Want to hear?" Alice asked, smiling.

"I'm sure you had fun during Potions." Marlene said.

"Well why did-"

"It must be a pretty funny joke. But it'll have to wait." We turned around and saw James grinning. "Hey Evans go out with me?"

"No." Lily groaned. "What do you want?"

"Well I'm meant to be in Detention but I have to take Isabel."

"I can go myself." I stated coolly.

"I know. But stop wasting time and let's go." I rolled my eyes and stood up.

"See you guys later." I said to the girls.

"Good luck." Marlene said. I nodded and walked off with James.

We walked to the dungeons in silence. "Hey Fall?" James asked suddenly. I looked at him.

"Yeah?"

"What's that on your arm?" I looked down on my arms and suddenly felt panicking. The bruises and scars on my arms were showing. I pulled the end of my sleeves to cover them.

"I-its n-nothing." I said quietly. He frowned and raised an eyebrow.

"It looks like-"

"Well it's none of your business!" I snapped. He held his hands up in surrender and sighed.

"I was just wondering." I sighed and nodded.

James opened the door and moved out of the way, acting like a gentleman. I raised an eyebrow at him, making him grin.

"What?" He questioned. I sighed and walked in.

"Ahh Ms Fall and Mr Potter! I'm glad you're here." Professor Slughorn said. "You will be cleaning cauldrons today." I nodded and grabbed my wand. "Without magic." My jaw dropped.

"What?" I questioned, shocked.

"Yep. That's how we do it here Fall." James stated, grinning. "Cleaning with no magic." Professor Slughorn conjured two buckets of water and some sponges. James grabbed one sponge and bucket. I sighed and grabbed a sponge and bucket.

"Here are the cauldrons." Professor Slughorn pointed to the many cauldrons on the far side of the room. We nodded and walked to the cauldrons. I looked inside one and almost vomited. It was covered in green, brown, purple substances that I didn't really want to know what they were. I gagged and started cleaning.

"This is... disgusting..." I mumbled.

"This is fun!" James exclaimed, cleaning another cauldron. I looked up at him.

"What?"

"Oh not the cleaning. The seeing you annoyed and disgusted part." He smiled innocently as I glared at him.

"You're the reason I'm here."

"I know! You welcome." I sighed with annoyance and rolled my eyes before cleaning another cauldron.

"Isabel!! Wake up!!" Someone shook me awake. I opened my eyes slowly.

"W-what?" I croaked. Lily, Marlene and Alice stood around my bed.

"Come on Sleepyhead! It's 8 o'clock! We're going to be late!" Alice exclaimed. I jumped up.

"What?!" I quickly got up and started grabbing some clothes in my trunk.

"How was detention?" Lily asked.

"Disgusting...." I said and ran to the bathroom to have a quick shower.

After having a shower I got changed into my robes and looked in the mirror to do my hair. I looked at my hair and screamed. My hair was no longer black. It was bright, neon purple. The door bursts open.

"Why are you-" Marlene stopped and looked at my hair. "What happened to your hair?!"

"I- I don't know!!" I yelled, grabbing the shampoo I used. I took off the lid and spilled it into the sink. Purple hair dye mixed in shampoo came out.

"That's hair dye!" Lily stated. "Hang on, I can change your hair back."

"Oh thank you!" She took out her wand and pointed it at my hair. "If you set my hair on fire-"

"I won't!" Lily said the spell and nothing happened. "Nothing happened!" She tried again and still nothing happened. My eyes widened.

"Oh now I'm going to kill those four!!!" I shouted and stormed out of the bathroom.

"How do you know it was them?" Alice asked. Her, Lily and Marlene followed.

"Who else would it be!" I stormed to the Great Hall.

I opened the doors to the Great Hall and everyone stared at me. Some people started snickering. I ignored them and stormed to the end of the Gryffindor Table, where the Marauders were sitting. Remus' jaw dropped. Peter started giggling and James and Sirius both grinned. I stopped in front of them and crossed my arms.

"Hi Isabel!" Sirius said in a jaunty voice. "Did you do something to hair?" I glared at him. The Gryffindors laughed.

"Change. It. Back." I said, gritting my teeth.

"Aww but purple suits you!" James exclaimed. The Gryffindors laughed again. I banged my fist on the table and glared at him.

"Listen hear Potter! I don't care who you are but I've had enough with all this Pranking!"

"We prank everyone Fall. And by the way, your hair's going to stay like that for a month." James took a bite of the toast in his hand. My jaw dropped.

"A month?! My hair can't be purple for a month!"

"Ahh but it is. And also, every time you try to change it back it'll be like that for another month."

"Lily tried to change it back twice...." I muttered, making James grin even more.

"Then that's three months of purple hair!!"

"What?!? You know what? I am going to get you back! Then you'll be sorry!"

"We're already sorry." Sirius said. I smirked at them.

"Actually... I challenge you to a Prank War!" Their eyes lit up. "You four against me! We can prank anyone, students, professors, ghosts, each other. Whoever pranks the most people wins!" They stared at me.

"Are you crazy?" Peter asked.

"Maybe I am. Ends at the start of the Christmas Holidays. So what do you say Marauders?" I grinned.

"Of course! You're going down Fall." James said.

Sirius grinned. "You sure you're up for it Fall? You're new here. You don't know what you're up against." He said, his voice full of pride.

"Well neither do you." I answered, a small grin appearing on my face. And I walked out, already knowing what my first prank is.
