Marlene, Alice and I got off the train. Immediately, Marlene linked arms with me and smiled. "Come on, let's go meet Lily!" She ran and I was pulled along with her.

"Woah Marlene, slow down!" I stated. Alice jogged up to us. Marlene stopped near the front of the train. Many people walked out of the train, wearing their Hogwarts Robes like we were, and all of them had a badge that had a 'P' on it. "So these are the Prefects?" I asked.

"Yep! There she is!" Marlene pointed to a girl with fiery red hair and emerald green eyes. The girl was talking to a boy with brown hair and green eyes. Both were in Gryffindor.

"Hey Lily over here!" Alice yelled, waving her hand in the air. The redhead girl looked up and smiled. She said something to the boy and ran to us.

"Hey guys! I'm so sorry I couldn't sit with-" Lily started.

"Oh don't worry about it! Anyway this is Isabel! She's in our year and she's transferred from America." Marlene introduced. Lily looked at me and smiled.

"Nice to meet you. I'm Lily Evans." She held out her hand. I shook it.

"Nice to meet you Lily."

"So how come you-"

"Lily!! Marlene!! Marauders heading this way!!" Alice said. Lily and Marlene's eyes widened. I turned around and saw three boys heading towards the boy Lily was talking too.

"Ooh Sirius-" Marlene smiled and started fixing her hair.

"Let's go!!" Lily yelled and grabbed Marlene's hand, before dragging her away from them. Alice and I glanced at each other before following them. We followed Lily and Marlene to the carriages that were being pulled by black, skeletal horses.

"Aww Lily! I just wanted to know how their sum-" Marlene said.

"You wanted to talk to Sirius. By any chance, I hope James doesn't-" Lily was interrupted.

"Oh he will! Sorry Lily." Alice said. Lily sighed with annoyance.

"Guys... What's the creatures pulling the carriages?" I asked. They looked at me confusingly.

"Nothing pulls the carriages." Lily stated.

"Yes there is. It's a black horse like creature with a very skeletal body..." They glanced at each other.

"I don't see anything..." Marlene stated. I shook my head and sighed.

"Maybe I'm imagining things..." they sighed and nodded. Then we all boarded the carriage.

I was not imagining things. I was sure of it. There were horses pulling the carriage. The others didn't seem to see them. And now they probably think I'm insane.

"So... Isabel, do you have any siblings?" Lily asked. I looked down, this was the question I was hoping to avoid. Obviously someone was bound to ask it. But on the first night?

"I had a sister..." I said sadly. It happened a year ago. That awful night. The night that led to the reason why I had cuts and bruises on my body.

"Had? Oh... I'm sorry..." Marlene whispered. "H-how? When?" I sighed.

"Last year. Car crash." I sighed. I left out the part of my Dad blaming me about my sister, Sophia's death.

Lily grabbed my hand and rubbed it soothingly. I smiled slightly at her.

"I have a sister. She hates me. She's a muggle-"

"A what?" I asked. She looked at me.

"A muggle. Person that doesn't do magic." I nodded.

"Oh, we call them No-Maj."

"Right you're American." I nodded and smiled.

The carriages stopped and we jumped out. I followed them into the grand castle. I stared at it in awe. We walked inside.

"Ahh Ms Fall." I turned around and saw a stern looking woman wearing green robes and her grey hair in a bun.

"Yes?" I asked.

"Professor Dumbledore would like to see you. So you can be sorted into one of the houses. I will explain it all on the way." I nodded.

"See you later then." Marlene said and they walked off. I followed the stern looking woman around the castle.

"I am Professor McGonagall, your Transfiguration teacher. Once we arrive at the Headmaster's office, you will be sorted into one of the four houses. Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff and Slytherin. These houses will be like your family. Any triumphs will earn you house points. Any rule breaking and you will loose points. We are here now." She stopped in front of a Gargoyle that looked like it was guarding a door. "Sherbet lemons." The Gargoyle moved out of the way and a spiral staircase appeared. I blinked rapidly, hoping I heard the password correctly. Sherbet Lemons?

We walked inside and a man in purple robes with long silver hair and a long silver beard. He also wore half-moon glasses. "Good evening Ms Fall. I am Professor Dumbledore."

I gasped. "Dumbledore? Like Albus Dumbledore?" He smiled and nodded.

"Yes indeed. Now you will be sorted into one of the four houses." Dumbledore stood up and grabbed a battered, worn out hat. "Please sit down." I sat down on a chair as he placed the hat on my head. Instantly it started to move. I froze and my eyes widened.

"Hmm.... well this should be easy..." A voice said above my head.

"What in the name of Merlin-" I mumbled.

"GRYFFINDOR!!!" The hat shouted and I jumped. Dumbledore took the hat off.

"This is the Sorting Hat. This is how we sort people into our houses. Professor McGonagall will escort you to the Great Hall." Dumbledore explained.

"Okay..." I stood up and followed McGonagall outside. We walked around the castle again, before stopping in front of the Great Hall.

"You may go in now." She said and walked off. I opened the door and everyone stared at me. I smiled sheepishly and looked around. There was four long tables with many students sitting on each one. One table was at the front, facing the other tables where adults sat. I looked at the floating candles and the roof that was bewitched to look like the night sky  in awe. I saw Marlene, Alice and Lily sitting in the table in the middle on the right. I walked up to them, noticing everyone's eyes on me. I sat down beside Marlene and sighed. Everyone looked away.

"Why was everyone staring?" I whispered to her and looked around.

"Hey, random girl that just shows up at the door while everyone is silent." She replied.

"Okay then. This is Gryffindor table right?"

"Yeah why?"

"Okay good."

"Where did you go?"

"Get sorted into one of the houses."

"How come you weren't sorted with the first years?"

"Hey, random fifteen year old girl getting sorted among little first years?"

"I would love to see that." She laughed and I glared at her playfully. The doors opened and the first years walked in.

After the Sorting finished and Dumbledore said a few rules as he glanced at the four boys we saw earlier, food appeared on the table. I smiled and saw everyone serving themselves. I did the same.

"So you're in Gryffindor then?" Lily asked.

"No, I'm in Slytherin that's why I'm sitting here." I said sarcastically and grinned. She rolled her eyes and smiled slightly.

"Oh haha." I grinned.

"Someone pinch me." Marlene said suddenly. We looked at her.

"Why?" Alice asked.

"Sirius just winked at me..." Lily rolled her eyes and pinched her.

"Ow!" Marlene exclaimed, everyone looked at her, including the four boys that we saw before. The one with the long hair grinned at Marlene. She turned red from embarrassment. "Thanks...."

"Anytime." Lily said and sighed.

The feast soon ended and the Prefects were asked to escort everyone to their dormitories. Lily stood up.

"First years follow me!" Lily said to the little children. Everyone followed her and the other Prefects to the dormitories. We stopped in front of a painting of a fat lady. One of the older Prefects stepped forward.

"Flapping Grindylows." The Prefect said. I blinked. The portrait opened revealing a room.

"You guys have some weird passwords." I whispered to Alice. She looked at me and laughed, before nodding in agreement. Everyone walked inside.

"This is the Gryffindor Common Room. Here you can chat with your friends, do your homework. The staircases on the right leads to the girls dormitories. Same with the boys on the left. You will find that all your stuff is already there." We walked to the right staircase and to one of the dormitories.

I found my stuff and went to the bathroom to get changed. I looked at the scars and bruises on my body and sighed, before putting my pyjamas on. I walked to my bed and lay down, when a paper aeroplane flew into the room and landed on Lily's bed. I sat up and looked at the aeroplane.

"What's that?" Alice asked.
"A paper aeroplane." I answered. She rolled her eyes and glared at me playfully. I grinned.

"No no no. I'm not even going to look at it." Lily said, moving the aeroplane away from her.

"Come on Lils. It's probably a note or something." Marlene said, grinning like she knew what it was.

"No no no. This happened last year." Lily shook her head stubbornly.

"Fine I'll read it." Marlene grabbed the paper aeroplane and unfolded it.

"No! Ugh, why do I bother?" Marlene laughed and grinned. "What does it say?"

"Dear Evans,

Will you go on a date with me now?

P.S. Who's that new girl you were sitting with?"

Lily snatched the parchment from Marlene. "How many times do I have to- No!" Lily wrote down the answer.

"Told you he won't stop." Alice stated.

"Yeah whatever."

"Can you also ask if Sirius is still sin-" Marlene stopped, as if she was realising what she was saying. "Actually no."

"And that new girl is none of his business. Whoever he is." I said.

"James Potter. King of Gryffindor. Marauder. Annoying toe-rag." Lily sighed and rolled her eyes. "Always asking me out on dates every minute he gets. Why would I want to date someone who always hexes and pranks people?"

The first day went rather quickly. We had Transfiguration first with Ravenclaw, which was basically revision while a boy with messy jet black and Hazel eyes with round glasses asked Lily out on a date. She immediately replied no. Then we had Charms, which was just like Transfiguration. History of Magic, where I fell asleep. Then we had Divination where I "predicted" that I will have a terrible life. I got full marks. And finally, I went to the library with Marlene, Lily and Alice to do homework. After that I decided to sit under the tree near the Black Lake alone and read.

I put my glasses on and opened my copy of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and began to read. I read for a few minutes when I heard someone. I looked up and saw two boys strutting (yes strutting) towards me. Two other boys followed, though they weren't strutting. One of the boys at the front was the boy I saw ask Lily out on a date during Transfiguration. The boy beside him had long black hair that touched his shoulders, and grey eyes. The boy at the back had brown hair, green eyes, hardly noticeable scars on his face and a book in his hand. He looked extremely bored. The other boy was shorter and chubbier then the others. He had light blonde hair and looked rather excited. I sighed and prayed to God that they weren't the infamous Marauders I've heard about and went back to my book.

"Hey New Girl!" The one with the glasses yelled.

"That's the Marauders' Spot!" The one with long hair added, I rolled my eyes.

"I'm sorry but it doesn't have your name on it." I stated, not looking up from my book. The one with the book and scars chuckled quietly. The others frowned.

"Well whatever. We ask you nicely if you could move."

"I'm kind of busy right now."

"You're reading." I glanced at the boy, who I guessed was the one Marlene never stopped talking about.

"Same thing." I turned the page, not moving. They sighed with annoyance.

Sirius Black walked up to me. He grabbed my book and held it in the air. I stood up and glared at him.

"Give me back my book." I said.

"Alright. As long as you move." Sirius said, grinning. I rolled my eyes but nodded. He gave me the book, I grabbed it and sat down, leaning against the tree. I continued reading, making them frown.

"What's your name, New Girl?" James Potter asked. I'm guessing this one was James, considering I've heard and seen him multiple times.

"Isabel Fall." I said simply.

"Look Fall, maybe you haven't heard about us-" I laughed.

"Oh I know a lot about you four. James Potter, asks Lily Evans on dates whenever he gets. But then he hexes and pranks anyone who goes on a date with her, making it hard for her to actually have a relationship. I also heard you're an arrogant, big-headed toe-rag." I smiled innocently at him as he glared at me. "Then there's Sirius Black, with his long hair and grey eyes. He's always winking and flirting with any girl he sees. From what I've heard, you're apparently the hottest one. But I disagree."

"What? Wait who said I was the hottest one?" Sirius asked. I ignored him.

"Then there's Remus Lupin. The one Marauder that actually studies and reads. I heard you don't participate in any pranks but you don't stop them either. You're also a Prefect. That one was pretty obvious." Remus shrugged and started reading his book. "And Peter Pettigrew, I heard you try to stop the others in getting into trouble. I also heard you adore them very much." Peter also shrugged.

James and Sirius, however took it as very insulting. It was meant to be very insulting.

"Exactly. We can hex and prank you. Unless you move." James threatened.

"And so can I." I stated, smirking. They both scoffed.

"Yeah right." I took my glasses off, placed my book down and stood up. I grabbed my wand and pointed it at James.

"You don't believe me?" James glared at me and grabbed his wand, before pointing it at me. Remus stood up and walked in between us.

"Let's not start fighting. This is unnecessary. We can just move somewhere-"

"Moony, move before I hex you." James stated, gritting his teeth. Remus sighed and moved out of the way slowly.

"Furnunculus!" I yelled and waved my wand. James screamed and staggered backwards, covering his face with his hands. "Not so good-looking now, right Potter?" James glared at me slightly. I grinned. Sirius stormed towards me and grabbed my wrist. My eyes widened and I hid my fear as if expecting the beating that always comes.

"Don't. Touch. Me." I said slowly. He let go of my wrist and quickly pointed his wand at my throat. I tried moving away.

"Do the counter-curse." Sirius said. I rolled my eyes.

"Are you dumber then you look?" He glared at me.

"I said do the counter-curse." I scoffed.

"You act like I care."

"Flipendo!" I screamed and flew backwards, unfortunately landing in the lake.

I swam upwards and glared at Sirius, who was laughing with James. I swam out of the lake. I gave Sirius a death glare and hexed James again, he screamed and fell backwards. I stormed off, still dripping wet. I walked into the castle, my shoes squeaking against the floor. I moved my wet hair out of my face and made a mental note to never go to the Black Lake again.

"Isabel!" I turned around and saw Marlene, Alice and Lily looking at me.

"What happened?" Marlene asked. I sighed with annoyance.

"I just met the Marauders!" I exclaimed. "How much fun that was!" They sighed.

"What did they do?"

"They threw me in the Lake! And I hexed James, but I'm not really upset with that."

"You hexed James!" Lily said excitedly. I nodded.

"Then they threw me in the lake! And now I'm wet! I don't-" Someone tapped my shoulder. I turned around furiously, getting water on the girls. "What?!" The person stepped back and I realised it was Remus Lupin. I sighed. "Oh. It's you. What do you want? Come to tell me that I shouldn't have hexed James and that all of you are sitting peacefully near the Black Lake?!" He blinked rapidly.

"Well no... you left your book and glasses." He gave me my book and glasses.

"Oh..."

"And James deserved to get hex. I'm sorry about them."

"It's fine." I said quickly. Remus nodded and sighed.

"Um.... I see you're reading Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them." He stated, pointing at my book. I looked at my book and nodded.

"Yeah, I was reading about werewolves before you guys came. I didn't realise that they are really dangerous." Remus nodded slowly and bit his lip.

"Y-yeah. Werewolves. Dangerous." He faked a smile and laughed. He cleared his throat.

"Anyway, I better go... see you later Isabel." He waved and walked off. I smiled and waved.

"See you later Remus."
