Revealing An Identity: Chap 27
Elsa's POV
"Jack Frost?" He said. My eyebrows knitted together. "He's dead because of you." I spit out. "Oh that's right, they can't see you." He laughed. "But you were chosen, I see it didn't work out in your favor."
"Jack?" I asked North. "Is he alive?" North shook his head. "But is he here?" I asked. He didn't do anything after that. I'm was so confused. "Elsa, Anna, go upstairs." North said. "I can fight them." I argued. "Jack would want you to go." I almost cried at his words. Jack would want me to leave but I'm strong enough to protect myself. But it would give Anna better chances at surviving. I grabbed Anna's hand and I ran up the stairs. Is he really alive? I asked myself. "We need to get the others!" She said and I nodded. "But how?" I asked.
"Olaf! Give him a message, he'll give it to them." "Anna, it's like summer over here, he'll melt." "Then give him a flurry or something." I rolled my eyes. "I can't just magically make things happen." I commented. "There's no way he'll get away." "Not unless you help him." She pleaded. "And plus your a wizard!!! You can make lots of things happen." "I left my wand at Punzie's place." "Why would you do that?! You know I'm not as good as you. You get to learn all the cool stuff in your sixth year!" I shook my head. "It's not the time for this."
Olaf stepped out from behind Anna with a smile on his face. He looked at me for a few moments before he laughed. "What are you guys talking about?" He asked innocently. I crouched in front of him. "You have to warn the others. Tell them to come here. Tell him He's here." With the twirl of my hand a cloud appeared above his head. "Yay! My own personal flurry!!" "Shh!" I put my finger over his mouth. "Go down these stairs, you're our only hope."
I created an ice staircase that went down off of the balcony. Olaf started down them. "I won't fail you Elsa." He said before he continued on his way. My heart was pounding, I was so afraid. What if I hurt someone on our side? The idea made me freak out even more.
The men rushed up the stairs holding crossbows that appeared to be dipped in some kind of poison. "Elsa, come with us." I shook my head. "I've done nothing wrong! I didn't kill my parents!" I shouted. "Oh we know, the dark Lord needs you." "I will never join sides with that Man again." I spit out. "You don't have much of a choice sweetheart."
"Is Jack really alive?" I asked making them chuckle. "Of course his is, he was chosen just like his whore of a mother." They both then aimed their crossbows at Anna and I. I stepped in front of her. "Don't hurt her, you can take me but don't hurt her."
"Sorry, I've been told to take both of you. I'm only following orders." "Can you see him?" I asked. They nodded. "You can't because you believe he's dead." "I don't, not in my heart." I said letting a single tear fell from my eye.
Jack then jumped in front of me. "Jack?" He looked back and smiled before I sobbed with happiness. I wanted to wrap my arms around him and never let go. "Stay away from her." I placed my hands on his back, he was cold underneath my touch. He looked back at me. "Its going to be okay." he whispered.
Then one of them shot an arrow. Jack put up an ice barrier to protect all three of us. "Anna, take the stairs. Get out of here." she nodded and began backing up. I held my arm out protectively as we backed up watching Jack fight the other men. Jack swung his staff making one off them slip and Fire his arrow towards the ceiling. "JACK! The chandelier!" I yelled. We all ran towards the stairs as the ground shook, the loud crashing sound of breaking glass filling our ears as we made it to the steps. "Hurry!" Jack yelled. Anna was running ahead of me as Jack jumped off grabbing me in his arms. He then flew down and grabbed Anna before the entire stairwell collapsed.
"North is still in there!" I stated quickly. Jack placed us on the ground before he ran back inside. I heard a loud roar before I looked up. Toothless was flying around us with Hiccup on his back. Punzie and Eugene were riding on the back of Max, Merida riding her horse and Kristoff on his reindeer. "Elsa!" Punzie exclaimed jumping off the horse and running to me. Kristoff helped Anna onto Sven as Punzie hugged me tightly.
"Jack's alive." I blurted out. "H-how?" "He was chosen... We have to help him." I said before I began running up the stairs. I burst through the door to see the damage that the chandelier had caused. Everything I had created was breaking apart or holding on by a thread. I spotted Jack trying to help someone. I ran towards him to see that North was stuck underneath a huge piece of ice.
"North! I'm so sorry!" I yelled as I collapsed to my knees. I helped Jack push the piece of him. "It's alright sweetheart, I'm as tough as an ox." He stood to his feet and used both of our shoulders to walk him to the door. The ground began to shake as the entire thing collapsed. "RUN!" Jack yelled. "WE WON'T MAKE IT!" I shouted.
I let go of North and shot my hands upwards to make a shield above our heads. I took North's arm back and we ran as fast as we could out the door. "North!" Punzie said with relief. "Here he can ride with me back to her house." Said Hiccup landing in front of us. Jack and I helped him up. "I'll take you." he said before wrapping his arms around my waist.
"Elsa how are you flying?" I laughed. "I told you, it's Jack." Her eyes widened. "I can see him! I can see you!" Jack chuckled. "Come on let's get back before anything bad happens."
We flew just above the trees so we could see the others on the ground. Hiccup was close to our side as we rushed back. I looked over Jack's shoulder and my heart began to pound. "Jack, what is that?" I asked. He flipped us over and his eyes widened. "Hiccup!" He yelled. Hiccup looked back to see the wave of black dust heading towards us. We all knew what that did.
"We need to get to the ground! To protect everyone!" Hiccup shouted back before swooping down. "We need to help them." I said to Jack. "You are my first priority, always." I kissed him . "I thought you were dead." I sobbed. "Its not time for that. Look at me, okay. We are going to be fine." he took one of his arms around me and wiped my cheeks. "I love you." I said. "I love you too."
We both swooped to the ground. "What the heck is that?!" Anna yelled. "It's his dark magic! The same stuff he used on us at the celebration!" Kristoff told her. Anna looked at me pleading for an explanation. "He's after me, he's after my powers. He already has Jack's and if he gets mine he'll be able to destroy everything. His dark magic is getting stronger." I looked back towards the wave coming towards us. "Our parents tried to destroy his power a long time ago, but they failed. It's our turn to create the circle. We have to defeat him together." I said. I was trying to be calm but I was literally freaking out inside.
"My parents! They were part of the Phoenix, they have a bunker with an escape route that leads to the school!" "The room of requirement will protect us." Eugene interjected. "We need to get there and fast." Jack said before we all sped up as fast as we could.
"Jack the wave, it's going around us." I said looking over his shoulder. "Its going to block our way." He nodded. "Punzie!" He yelled. "Is there another way in that's closer? We aren't going to make it!" She nodded taking the reigns on Max. We all followed her to a tree with a sun symbol on it.
We all stopped. "Its in here! Quickly!" Punzie yelled opening the latch. "North passed out!" Hiccup yelled as he tried to help North up. "Here give him to me." Eugene said. He slapped his face a few times before he sighed. "He's out cold. It'll take almost all of us to carry him." "Toothless can carry him." Hiccup suggested. "Your dragon won't fit down there. A horse maybe, be a dragon? No." Punzie said with a frown. "If Toothless leaves now, he can meet us there." Jack suggested. "He can't fly on his own, I'll have to go with him." Hiccup said climbing back onto Toothless back. "Be careful." Merida whispered to him before she gave him a kiss. Hiccup blushed before he took off stirring up leaves in the process.
"Get the horses in first, put North on one of them." Eugene said. It took all 3 boys to lift North and put him on Max's back. He wasn't too happy about that. Max and Merida's horse went through the tunnel before we went in one by one. Jack and I were the last to enter. "Just in case." he said before he blasted his ice to block the entrance.
We ran for hours before we made it back to the school. Then Jack stopped. "What's wrong?" I asked. "He's already here."
Jack' POV
"This is exactly what he wants. He wanted us to come back to the school." Elsa said with and angered expression. Elsa closed her eyes and began to cry. "Elsa?" I asked before she opened her eyes and stormed out of the tunnels. I ran after her, is she crazy?!
When I walked out I saw him, I saw his face. Pitch Black. It all made sense now, why he was working at the school, why the headmistress turned dark. He was there to get information, to watch all eight of us, to torment us. It was all part of his plan.
Pitch was riding on a cloud of darkness with his army of nightmares at his side. "Surprised?" He laughed. "Or are you scared? Because they smell fear you know." I heard the others exit the tunnels and gasp. "You did this? Why?" Asked Rapunzel. "My father!" He shouted. "Your people burned him for turning dark! You all hated him even though he was more powerful then you could imagine! Look what I can do!" He raised his hands and created another black wave behind him. "He learned tricks and spells that weren't in the books. He didn't need no silly wand!" He laughed. "Only his two bare hands! People say that he went mad! He didn't! He saw the future! A strong race of wizards that could rule over the puny muggles!"
"But that's the thing. People say the darkness clouds your mind. They're wrong, it clears it! I can see what my father sees and world full of darkness." "But there will be people that are too pure and good for you to corrupt!" Punzie yelled. "Then I'll kill them."
"Now if we're done with the chit chat, I need to get to work." Instead of attacking us, him and his black dust floated into the sky. I began to ran after him but Elsa grabbed my sleeve. "Take me with you." I shook me head. "Please." she pleaded. "I want to destroy him." I ran my thumb across her cheek and down to her lips. "Killing him, isn't going to make you feel better." She surprised me when she kissed me roughly.
"You're taking me with you, no matter what." "No stay here. You'll be safer." she glared at me before she kissed me again. "Come on Elsa. Let Jack Handle this." Punzie pleaded. "He can't do it on his own. Jack let me help you." Elsa pleaded. I snaked my arms around her waist and kissed her again. "I'm sorry." I told her before I shot up towards the dark clouded sky. "PITCH!" I shouted. "Jack will you give it up already, with your powers I'm stronger then I ever was. My father learned how to take people's Magic a long time ago. I will defeat you and this time, I'll make sure your dead."
He chuckled. "Well it looks like it's just you and me Jack." He snapped his fingers and several nightmares charged towards me. I started swinging my staff around hitting a few. They fell towards the earth surface frozen, shattering into tiny piece from the impact. I dodged another one only to be hit in the back.
I suddenly felt a falling sensation, opening my eyes I realized I was. I had let go of my staff and I tried to grab it as I plummeted towards the ground. I reached out and grasped it tightly. "Wind!" I began to fly again, letting the falling sensation disappear.
I could hear him laugh as I turned around to face him. 'Strength of 10 men, speed of Lightening, the power to destroy.' I looked towards the sky. "Manny. I have to choose the other path. It's the only way to save my friends." I said quietly. "Jack this darkness will consume you like it did to Pitch and his father." "It's the only way to save them." "Are you sure with your decision?" He asked. "Yes."
I felt a new serge of energy fill my body along with the rage I felt towards him. He killed my family, He killed me, He took everything I cared about away from me. I clenched my jaw shut and glared into Pitch's yellow eyes.
"Oh Jack. Equaling out the playing field I see. Doesn't the darkness feel great." He breathed in and exhaled. "You feel powerful now don't you?" He chuckled. "When you were chosen I lost the powers I took from you. I just told you I still had them, because well I like to keep things interesting. Which gives me the joy of taking them all over again."
He then lifted his arms and the wave charged in my direction. I suddenly began to shake, feeling like electric currents were pulsing through my veins instead of blood. I yelled out in anger, clapping my hands together. A huge serge of frost produced from my hands freezing the black dust. I looked at Pitch to see the fear in his eyes before the whole thing shattered loudly.
I felt like my whole body was drained and I could no longer fly on my own. I watched Pitch fall from the sky before I felt myself lose consciousness. The falling sensation returned before my back connected with something soft. I opened my eyes and looked at Elsa's beautiful blue eyes. "Elsa." She looked down and gasped. "Jack your eyes." I closed them ashamed of what they might look like. "You have to let me explain." I whispered.
I closed my eyes again not having the energy to do anything else. I felt the thud of our soft landing before I was put into someone's arms. They carried me for a while until I was laid upon something comfortable. A bed or a couch I supposed. I tried opening my eyes only to fail. I was so tired. I thought to myself before I slipped into unconsciousness.
Elsa's POV
"It's just like it said in the book. Destined for greatness or destined for darkness. His eyes are blood red. He told me to let him explain but I don't think I want to listen to it." I told them quietly. "So he was chosen by the prophesier." Punzie muttered to herself. "He's stronger then all of us combined." Eugene commented looking at Jack's sleeping body.
"Pitch is still out there. Jack didn't kill him. I think we all have to... I was reading my mothers diary. Their circle never worked together fully. They never combined their powers together." Punzie stated making me nod. "Plus the connection with have with each other will make us stronger." Kristoff added.
I sat down on the edge of Jack's bed and moved his hair away from his eyes. "What are we going to do?" Anna asked. "Destroy him."
Pitch's POV
I laughed. "Finally, Someone who knows how to have a little fun." My nightmare came to me and rubbed his head against my back. "Don't worry my child. We'll destroy them soon enough. Jack's new gifts won't be a problem anymore. You know me, I don't make the same mistake twice." He purred while I petted his head. "Lets go home, shall we?"
I jumped on his back and we flew towards my lair. Those children are so naive, I've been living underneath them this whole time. We arrived in my lair and saw the frightened faces of all those I had captured. But I stared at my new prize. "Hello Rapunzel. I hope my nightmares treated you nicely." She spit in my direction and I chuckled. "Now that's no way to treat your host."
"I hate you!" She yelled at me. "My friends will come find me!" "Oh sweetheart, your friends don't even know you're gone." Her eyes widened as she backed up against the farthest bars. "Oh yes. Rapunzel, I'm sure you've met Madame Gothel."
