October 1979

Lucius and Narcissa were spending a romantic weekend away after recent months had been rather testing for them. Lucius had a few close calls with members of the Order, including her cousin Sirius, who had become a member of the Order himself.

The owl had delivered the morning post, Narcissa handed Lucius the Daily Prophet, as he liked to check if any wizards had been outed as death eaters. He mainly checked for Theodore, he and Rebekah were expecting a baby, any day now, a little baby Nott could be born.

"Cissy, you might want to read this?"

Death Eater now identified as Regulus Arcturus Black has been pronounced dead along with Order of the Phoenix member Aimee Elizabeth Burke. As of this moment, there are no details as to the alliances or who might have changed their allegiance, Mrs Walburga Black is devastated at the news of her son's death, just a month after her husband Orion Black's passing. A dreadful time indeed for the Black Family, no word has been spoken from the Burke family in regards to Aimee Burke's death. We can only hope that both families are well in these harsh times.

"No, they can't be dead, I mean Aimee's a mother, how is Sirius going to cope, he loved Aimee and Regulus. What in Merlin's name was she thinking,"

"It's awful, many have died during this war, and more may still die, especially with the blood lust Bellatrix has gained,"

"Oh, Lucius you don't think she'd-

"I don't know, she never really liked any of the Burke, but killing Regulus, I don't know,"

Narcissa left the room wanting to be alone, Lucius didn't know what he could do to help, he may have unknowingly had a part in their death. Then again he didn't trust Peter Pettigrew while he was trying to prove his loyalty, Lucius couldn't see him betraying his long time friends.

Lucius knew he'd never give up Narcissa, Theodore, Rebekah, or Helene, they were his friends. If anything he was more loyal to the four of them, than the Dark Lord. Family above all, and they are his family. He did wonder if Peter was responsible for their deaths, that would prove Aimee's death but not Regulus, as he was a death eater too.

Narcissa thought about writing to Sirius, the parchment sitting in front of her, though her mind couldn't put into words what she wanted to say. Sirius and she were never close as cousins, she was closer to Regulus and Aimee than she was to Sirius. She had to write something.

Dear Sirius,

I heard about Reg and Aimee's death, I'm so sorry, I can't possibly imagine how you must be feeling. To lose a brother and the love of your life. At least you'll have your daughters to keep you busy, I'm sure Rhea and Phoebe will cheer you up. I know I mourned Andromeda when she left, and I know how close you and Regulus were, I just hope that with everything going on, that you can find peace somehow.

Narcissa lounged on the sofa, she highly doubted that Sirius would respond to her letter, at least he knew she cared enough to write. Lucius had no idea how this felt, he was an only child, losing a sibling was a feeling he only understood through Narcissa the pain she went through when Andromeda left, was nothing compared to what Sirius would have been feeling. A note appeared on the table 'Bekah, Baby, Now'

"Narcissa, it's happening!" he shouted,

Narcissa hurried through the room, taking Lucius hand they apparated to St. Mungo's hospital. She didn't waste any time running through the hospital to the maternity floor, loud scream echoed through the halls. Narcissa burst into the room to find Rebekah and Theodore, with Helene acting as their coach while she was pregnant herself.

"Hee hee, hoo hoo, hee hee, I think I'm going to be sick," Theodore said, Helene, slapped him across his face

"Pay attention to her!"

"Alright! There's a new to many people in this room there's about to be one more, so if you're not the father, out you go," the Mediwitch instructed.

"We love you, we're just outside," Narcissa said, kissing Rebekah's forehead.

Narcissa, Lucius and Helene sat in the waiting room patiently awaiting for the arrival of little baby Nott, they didn't want to know whether it was a boy or a girl, just that they were healthy. Narcissa took herself for a little stroll, while Lucius and Helene stayed waiting for news of the birth.

Narcissa and Rebekah never questioned the father of Helene's baby knowing full well who he was. Helene had rights to her privacy, even if she never usually kept things from them. Narcissa had arrived back from her stroll just in time, as Theodore came out.

"Do you want to meet him?" he asked, Helene and Narcissa hurried past him, Rebekah cradled a small newborn baby in her arms.

"He's precious, do you have a name?" Narcissa asked

"Yes, Theodore," Rebekah said

"Yay recycled names how unique," Helene said, "I'm joking, but I'll be calling him Theo Nott instead,"

"Congratulations mate," Lucius patted Theodore on his back.

"I think we best let them be alone," Lucius whispered to Narcissa,

He guided her and Helene out of the waiting room, he slung his arms around Narcissa and Helene. Helene hormonal tears had gotten the best of her, though she denied such tears. As Lucius and Narcissa arrived home, they lounged on the sofa together. Narcissa was so happy for Rebekah, marrying her true love and becoming a mother.

"What do you think of Draco?" Narcissa asked,

"Draco? For what?" he question, playing with her hair.

"Oh, nothing just in general," Lucius shrugged his shoulders

"It sounds nice, regal,"

"You sound like a robot," she said, nudging his shoulder, he sighed

"I don't know, it sounds like... that feeling when you hear rain, peaceful, but you understand it," he shook his head "why?"

"No reason," she said, smiling to herself, as she softly grazed her fingertips over her stomach

"Okay," he kissed her cheek, "let's get ready for bed,"
