2. You again?

Once again, it's a new day, and I'm back at work. The only thing that's keeping me in check, is the hazelnut latte that's waiting for me in the coffee shop. The thought of the velvety, warm drink makes me drool.

I ferociously tap away on the keyboard, writing meaningless emails that have no impact on my life. When I'm not tapping away, it'll be the phone I'm answering, constantly having my ears take in the harsh words of the person on the other end of the line.

Pushing my shoulders back, I realign my posture. Wincing at the extreme tiredness I was overwhelmed with, sitting at this desk hours on end. I am at a point where my body was craving the coffee drink. The sickly feeling in the pit of my stomach was taking over, it was taking over my ability to carry on with the work.

A sigh of relief escapes my body as I notice five minutes left. Abruptly getting up from my seat, I make my way to the bathroom, ensuring I don't have to do anymore work in these precious five minutes I have remaining.

Entering the dingy bathroom, I walk over to the sink to wash my hands, trying to get rid of the office ambience that's evident on my hands. As water runs down my hands, I look up to the mirror in front of me. My light brown complexion is drained from the sheer stress of working, it felt like the blood in my face was drained. A fine shadow under my slender eyes perceived me to be drained.

I shake the access water from my hands, pulling copious amounts of tissue to dry my hands. My legs pick up the speed with the excitement of taking the valuable thirty minutes of my life.

When I am finally entered back to the outside world, the ever so familiar feeling of the cold wind stabs my skin. I suck in a sharp breath at the icy feeling attacking me, but that's no bother, as I get a giddy feeling with the thought of the coffee to warm me up.

As I'm making my way to the coffee shop, my mind wonders back to the encounter I had. Maybe he will be there again, my mind couldn't decipher whether I would be happy to see him. A shy smile curls my lips, I disapprovingly nod at my slight excitement, of the possibility of seeing him.

Upon entering the coffee shop, I scan around to see if he was there. Slowly the shy smile curls downwards, was this disappointment I was feeling? Surely, for someone I barely know I can't be disappointed in not seeing him. Shaking the thoughts away, I proceed to join the line with my arms folded and head lowered.

"Hey, it's you again!" A familiar voice beckons from behind me.

My head shoots up, for a moment I stop before turning around. I know that voice, I thought to myself. Without showing how truly happy I am, I slowly turn around to have him again in my sight.

"You again?" I calmly respond.

"Fancy seeing you again, I hope this time you won't steal my drink." He jokingly points out.

I let out a hesitant chuckle, shaking my head at the events that occurred previously between us.

"I'm sorry about that, I should have given you your drink, instead I was being an idiot." I respond though gritting my teeth and narrowing my eyes.

He shoots me a vibrant smirk, whilst laughing ever so subtly. "Don't worry about it, at the end of the day, we had the same drink."

Before I could reply, it was my turn to order as I was called from behind the counter. Turning around I see the same young girl, innocently smiling waiting for me to order.

Walking up to the counter, without giving it another thought, I make my order. "Two hazelnut lattes please."

"Someone's thirsty today." He snickered from behind.

As I turn to look at him, he lowers his eyes down to me with his lips pointing upwards, showcasing an alluring smile.

"One is for you, it's my treat, it's the least I could do for stealing your drink yesterday." I mentioned as I quickly swiped my card to pay, before he could interject.

I nodded my head for him to follow me while we wait for our drinks.

"For someone who likes to steal drinks, you sure are considerate." He teased as he places his hands in the pockets of his black coat.

Rolling my eyes, I playfully nudge him, as my hands go to nudge the top of his arm, I am suddenly alarmed, at the strong hold under the coat. The muscly feeling that is connected to the palm of my hands caught me off guard. I yank my hands back, nervously smiling making sure he didn't register my alarming looks.

Luckily, before my facial expression embarrassed me any further, our drinks were ready. Marching over, I quickly grab both drinks. Firstly, handing the drink over to him.

"So, you were true to your words, one was for me." He teased once again.

I can't help but blush at his playful and teasing character. There's something about him, something I can't quite put my finger on. He knows how to make me smile, and when he does it's like an everlasting effect on me, to which I will always think about.

As we exit from the shop, he looks down towards the black leather watch, sitting on his toned wrist.

"Thank you for the coffee." He quickly mentions before walking past me in a flash.

Without allowing me to respond, he is out of my sight. Once again, I stop in my tracks, dumbfounded at how swiftly he left, without saying much.

I scoff at the sheer rudeness, with me buying him a drink and him nodding off, away from me. For some reason I wasn't mad and I wasn't angry at him. I just hoped I would see him again tomorrow.
