Chapter Eleven//Balance

Monday. Does anyone even like Monday? Monday is that day all other days hate. I bet they go to parties and don't invite Monday.

I don't even know if Monday is hated because it's Monday or because it's the day right after the weekend. It could be Tuesday or Wednesday or any other day, and they'd be hated too. Either way, poor Monday, a day that'll always be hated by mankind.

I dressed up and made my way to school. School had become even nicer than I thought it was. Linda hadn't said or done anything to me since. Neither had Sophia. That scared me, a little, I'll have to admit, but the peace was worth it.

I got to class, of course, I had Mr Corny first. Mondays always started with his class. I enjoyed chemistry before, but with Tyler in the class, I enjoyed it way better than I did before now.

He came early to class today, and since I've known him, he's never done that. We talked for a while before Mr Corny came in.

But even through the class, we still whispered. When Mr Corny heard us, we started passing notes. Basically, we were that couple you hate in class.

No, not the PDA kind. The annoyingly adorable kind. To be honest, it was only annoying from the outside. It was cute when you were the one in it.

The remaining classes passed by in a blur.

It was Tuesday.  I didn't get to see Tyler at all. I texted him when I got back from dance class, but while we texted, I slept off.

Wednesday came. Pretty much the same. I was so busy. I only saw Tyler at lunch, but I had to leave early because my help was needed for the cheer team. We had something coming up for a school event.
After school, I had to stay behind for cheer practice.
When I got home, I was so exhausted, so I slept off.

To be honest, Thursday and Friday were pretty much the same. I barely texted Tyler or saw him.
But I knew he would understand. I had things to do. I had told him this before the relationship even started.

On Saturday, I went to the gym and dance class in the morning.
I got started on my homework and work I hadn't caught up on. I wanted to be done before Monday, and considering how busy the week had been, I hadn't been able to do any work.

I was only a quarter way through when my phone rang. It was Tyler.

"Hey," I said. I was excited he called, but deep down, I wanted to get back to work and finish all I had to do.

"Hey," he responded, "you've seemed busy all week, so I figured you'd be free today. Can I come over?"

"Um. No, not really. Tomorrow evening?" I responded and bit my lower lip in nervousness. I knew I was making things weird, but I needed to finish up my work.

"I knew you'd say that. Which is why I made sure to be in front of your house when I called so that you'd have to see me now."

"Oh. So you're at my door?"

"Yeah."
.

.

"I'm sorry I said no at first. I do have a lot of work." I said and pointed to the pile of books on the floor.

"Yeah, I understand. I'm just kinda worried. I know we just started dating. But that's my point. We just started dating, so things like this usually don't happen until the relationship has gone on for a while." He paused, "What I'm saying is. It's too early to barely see each other."

"I know, " I said and held his hand in mine, "I didn't expect things to be this hectic either. I will ensure I make time at least twice a week to physically see you, and I'll ensure I text every day. "

"Thank you. "He replied and smiled, "So what are you doing?"

"Homework," I said, then sighed

"Let me help you. I'm done with mine." He offered.

"Really? Oh, thank you so much. You have no idea, " I said and hugged him.

"Oh, I do," he said and laughed.

About 2 hours later, we were done. It originally would have taken me the whole day and a little bit of Sunday.

"Your schedule. We can always work around it. Just let me know what you're doing. And if I can help. I'll be glad to." Tyler said while I packed the books off the floor.

"That means so much to me. I will."

"Now that we're done. I want to take you to the movies. A new horror just came out and-" Tyler started before I cut in.

"How to kill your bride?" I asked excitedly.

"Yeah."

"Oh my God. No way! How did you get the tickets? I thought it was sold out."

"The moment they started selling tickets. I bought two. I knew you would love it, so I was planning on taking you today."

"What if I wasn't available this Saturday? Geez"

"That would have been disappointing. " he responded with a laugh," Thank heavens you are."

"Alright, wait here, let me dress up," I said and excitedly picked a cargo and a crop top from my closet before rushing into the bathroom to get dressed.

The show was at 6 pm. Thankfully,  we got to the cinema by 5:30 pm.

We got snacks and got a nice seat.

In between making out and talking, time passed, and before we knew it, the movie started.

It was so good. The anticipation the studio had built up was so worth it when we actually watched the show.

Tyler said he wasn't scared, but he unconsciously grabbed onto my arm a couple of times. I also felt his leg shaking. It was actually very cute.

I got home feeling great and less stressed. Adding someone to your schedule is never a problem as long as they're your person.

My feelings for Tyler were growing more and more every day.
