Karina brought Winter to her house again that night. After a little talk with her father, the older Yu assures the two girls that they can let him handle the problems. The rest, Karina's parents just want to make sure that Karina would make Winter happy again, brushing every horror terrifying her mind.

Karina asked Winter to change into new clothes. Her clothes were drenched with cold sweats, and Winter's comfort was Karina's priority.

It wasn't like the first time they were being together in the same room, all shy and timid. Winter now tries to fit herself into the family, being as comfortable as she could be like the Yu wanted her to, being another half for Karina to care for.

When she slowly lifted up her shirt, Karina helped her as the older girl slowly pulled up the shirt for Winter, revealing the old scars and bruises on Winter's body that were still evident. Trying to dig more, Karina set the dirty shirt on the floor. Her eyes are all on WInter's, asking for an explanation.

"Tell me everything he has ever done to you, Winter", Karina asked softly in her low voice.

Winter hesitated for a moment, feeling ashamed of the ugly patterns on her body as she covered them with her hands. Head was down, facing the horror that she tried to push away all her might.

"Winter, I want to help you", Karina caressed the back of Winter's head gently while her other hand pulled one of Winter's hands away from covering her bruised body.

"You wouldn't want to hear my story, Karina. I'm-", Winter's voice hitched before she took a deep breath to continue her words again. "I am not a virgin. He did things to me, aggressively...", Winter's voice starts to tremble hard but before she can completely break down, Karina beats her fast.

"I don't care if my future girlfriend, fiancee, or wife wasn't a virgin. I don't care, as long as it is you, I will be fine", Karina smiled, holding Winter's hand tightly while rubbing the back of Winter's hand with her thumb.

Looking back at how Winter was still in her deep slump, Karina tried to smile again, even tho she would look like a complete idiot with her nostrils opened and a corner of her mouth lifted forming a weird smile.

"Look at me, hey", Karina called to bring Winter's attention to her.

Winter slowly lifted her eyes towards the older girl, only to be greeted with an edgy smile featuring wide-opened nostrils.

"Pfft-"

"You sneered!", Karina squealed happily, finally getting a positive reaction from Winter. "You found me funny! I saw you!"

"Sorry", Winter finally let out her tiny laughs between Karina's excitements. Seeing the younger girl laughing, Karina couldn't help but feel a rush of relief.

"Put your hands up! Shirts going in!", Karina said happily as pulled out a new clean white shirt for Winter to wear, sliding it into Winter's tiny body while the younger girl could only giggle at the attention she got.

When they finished, both looked into each other in the eyes. Karina's warm gaze succeeds to burns Winter's cheeks, feeling how fast her heart beats for the older girl like always. When Winter shyly smiled, Karina smiled back at her happily, not until she took the younger by surprise with a quick peck on the lips.

Oh god, how Winter could feel that her heart going to explode.

"What did you just-"

"Why? Can't I kiss my soon-to-be girlfriend, fiancee, and wife?", Karina smirked playfully as she held both of Winter's hands in a soft squeeze. Instead of answering, Winter's eyes went wide from the embarrassment.

"Why did she say it like that?"

"Can't I say it like that? You already know about the 'destined' thing", Karina answered Winter's thoughts immediately, only making Winter more fluttered.

"That's cheating! Gosh, I hate you!", Winter pouted with a soft smack on Karina's shoulder. The older girl just giggled happily, before turning back her attention towards the younger.

"So, girlfriends?", Karina winked, and oh god. Why all of sudden, Winter felt like her whole body was burning?

"Is that even a confession? We just get to know each other for like... few weeks! And I am not a virgin! That's-"

"No one ever messed up with how messed up the Yu destiny is. Even if you tried to say no, eventually you will say yes one-", Karina words stopped when Winter cupped her mouth with one of her hands as the younger girl eyes went wide for the countless times again.

"Don't you ever feel embarrassed when you talked like that? I would hide in the closet if others heard how much you keep talking about our destiny", Winter hushed her.

Karina gently slapped away the younger girl's hand, holding it with her own before the corner of her lips lifted into a playful smirk. "You just said 'our' destiny, Winter?", she smiled while the younger was at the loss of words.

"So, it is a yes or no?", Karina smirked.

"I'm not gonna say yes too fast, that will be embarrassing-"

Karina gasped happily, covering her wide open mouth hearing the younger girl's thoughts inside her mind. Looking at how Karina reacted out of blue, Winter was knocked back into realization with the fact that the older girl could read her mind.

"Shit!", Winter slapped her own lips before hurried herself on the bed, covered her face with a blanket, pretending to sleep like Karina did just few weeks ago.

Karina sneered playfully at her. She didn't get her answer, she knew. Winter might not be ready with all those messed up 'destiny' Karina kept talking about since her mind was busy recovering from the trauma that kept haunting her.

Also, about her mother. Karina keeps a mind note that she needs to tell her father and her grandfather about that old prick Lee later, and probably bring Winter's mother to safety first, just in case.

When the two girls were back on the college the next day, greeted by distraught Ningning and confused Aeri, Karina couldn't help but explain what happened yesterday.

The truth. Ningning and Aeri deserve to know the truth. They are the closest people to both of them, they knew.

With Winter's permission, Karina had explained to the other two girls that the dean threatened Winter. He even sexually harassed Winter before, not only once. Winter thought it might be already around four or five times he did her, unwillingly, of course.

As a result, distraught Ningning just got worse and confused Aeri burns in anger.

"Winter, oh lord! You should have told me this sooner! I could be there for you when he wants to hurt you!", Ningning eyes start to become watery, learning the dark truth. Guilty, Winter couldn't help but throw herself towards Ningning into an apologetic hug.

"I'm sorry, Ning. I'm really sorry. I'm scared. He told me that he could kick students as he please. I don't want you to get kicked out from the college, that sucks, Ning", Winter explained.

But then, their crying session was interrupted when Karina spoke, "Wait, Ningning. Is your dad a lawyer?".

The Chinese turned her head towards Karina in surprise, startled that Karina knew about it. "How did you know?", she asked.

Trying to find an excuse, Karina could see how Winter looked at her own arms around the Chinese shoulder and how Aeri just turned her head somewhere else, pretending not to hear anything.

Mind reading powers, yeah, sure.

Karina didn't answer her, so Ningning turned her attention back to her friends. "That's what I've wanted to say to you just now. If you told me sooner about this, I could help you, you know? My father is a great lawyer, and I could ask him for help. He could help you. I could help you, Winter".

"I'm sorry, Ning", Winter smiled in guilt, and the Chinese hate how Winter looks with that kind of expression. Trying to cheer the mood back up, Ningning slowly loosens herself from Winter's embrace.

"I forgive you. Just, don't hide anything from me anymore", Ningning smiling slightly just enough to assure Winter that she is honest with her words.

When Winter smiled back and nodded her head happily, the two friends pulled each other into another friendly hug.

At least things with Ningning are now resolved.

"I guess you are plotting a drama right now?", Aeri asked, shoving Karina by her shoulder.

"Oh, Aeri. You'll see", the girl smirked.

"It is gonna be interesting".

Ten in the morning, like the dean instructed, Winter excused herself from her class to meet the dean like she was supposed to. But there is something different this time.

She knows she wasn't alone, and she really is not alone. Ningning is going with her, and the Chinese didn't take no as an answer.

Winter had shown a letter made by Karina's grandfather, the president of the college, to the lecturer as an excuse letter. Ningning name was there too, Karina had told him to.

"Best students in each major in the department meetings with the dean, Winter, Ningning?", her professor read the letter in his hand before turning his attention back to the two girls. Winter looks nervous to say anything. She knew it too well that their psychotic dean had many connections with lecturers inside the campus. This man in front of her probably be one of his men too.

Seing how Winter became so silent and how her eyes trembled in fear, Ningning held her friend hand tightly, realizing that Winter's hand is now all sweaty.

"Well, it is what the letter said, sir", Ningning answered, only to leave the man in deep confusion.

"As far as I knew, only Winter is known as the best student in our major. Your grades aren't that... peculiar, Miss Ning Yizhuo"

"Then, are you denying what the president has told you in the letter, sir?", Ningning lifted one of her eyebrows, trying to fight back his words.

"It's not like that, Ningning. I just confused-"

"Then, we will get going first, sir. Thank you!", Ningning bowed her head slightly, pushing Winter's head along with her to bow down before the two girls rushed out from their class while being watched by the whole class.

"Now, where should we headed to?", Ningning asked as they walked a few meters away from their class.

Karina's plan as what she told them was pretty simple. Go to the cafeteria, and they would meet the older Yu, Karina's grandfather, waiting for them there.

She is not lying tho, because as soon as the two girls arrive at the cafeteria, the older Yu greeted them, more to Winter, to be honest, with a wide smile on his face.

"Look who's here", the older Yu gave a light tap on Winter's shoulder, "it's my granddaughter's person", he smiled. "You must be her friend, Ningning".

The two girls panic before immediately bent down their body in respect to the older man. "It's nice to finally meet you, sir", Winter blurted out shyly, remembering that she got that special 'connections' with the Yus.

"Let's go to the dean office. You don't need to worry about anything anymore, Winter. I've got it all under control", the older man nods his head, giving another soft tap on Winter's shoulder.

"Your mom has been brought to safer place, not even your crazy father knew about it", the older man nods again before pointed his finger to two man at the corner of the cafeteria, drinking some coffee. In Winter's eyes, they just look like another students in the department, having some drink.

"They are undercover cops", the older man laughs lightly, and hearing his statement sends Winter in ulter shock. Those two men are cops?

"We don't want to make a scene here with cops in uniforms, so yeah. Undercover cops", the older Yu nods his head again, giving a soft squeeze on Winter's shoulder.

"Let's go", he said with his little warm smile, and Winter couldn't help but smile back as warm as he did.

When Winter knocks on the doors, the man inside allows her in just in seconds like he has been waiting  for Winter for a long time already. When Winter got in, alone inside the office, the smirk on his face got wider as he started to unbuckled his belt in a quick move.

"You are late 16 minutes, baby. Your punishment is piling", the man smiled as he walked closer towards Winter with his belt in his hand.

When he saw how Winter's body started to shake in horror, the smug on his face got bigger. His desire to make Winter tremble with everything he planned to do on her right now sends a rush of adrenaline in his blood out of excitement.

"Tell me all your mistakes, baby girl", the man said as he unbuttoned two buttons at the top of his shirt. "If you got all of them correct, I will be less rough on you, today", he smirked.

Winter needs to tell herself again and again that she shouldn't be afraid anymore. Outside the door is Ningning, Karina's grandfather, and two undercover cops, waiting the exact time to start all the drama.

"My midterm grade is below A", Winter answered with her low voice as she calmed herslef down, knowing that she just needed to act like she was scared. "And I am late", Winter continued.

The smug on the man's face fell, unsatisfied with Winter's answer despite her stating them correctly. He reached his hand out to Winter's chin, pressing his thumb on the skin below Winter's lips as his face got closer to Winter's, gazing a deep, deathly glare into Winter's eyes.

"Where is your respect to me in your voice?", he asked. "You better say that again in the correct way, or I will fucking-"

The knocks on the door brought the man's attention to the sound.

"Fuck"

Pissed off, he sighed heavily on Winter's face before answering the door with the kindest voice he had.

"Who is that?", he asked, and before he could get his answer, the doorknob twisted open, and that familiar old man opened the door wide with his usual smile, an A4-sized white envelope is in his hand.

"Mr. President!", the old prick Lee scrambled his way back to his office table, tidying his own dishevelled self as he put back his button on properly to look more presentable.

"Sorry to interrupt you, Mr. Lee, with- oof", the older Yu scoffed while looking at Winter. "I guess I interrupted something, did I?", he smiled playfully.

"Oh, no-no, sir. It's not like what you think!", the old prick Lee is in panic mode, immediately throwing away the belt in his hand under the table to hide them. "This girl, she is my niece. I just need to teach her some lessons because she is a problematic students".

The older Yu just nodded his head like he bought the dean words that easy. When he walked his way towards the younger man table, he placed the white envelope on the flat table surface. " This is for you, Mr. Lee", he said.

"What is this, sir?", the dean asked.

"It is your removal letter from your position, from the department, and from the college. Simply explain, you are fired, Mr. Lee".

"Wait- What?!", the dean couldn't believe his ears.

When the older man walked towards Winter, putting his hand with warmth on Winter's shoulder, slightly squeezing them to assure her safety, his eyes went back to the terrified dean behind his office table.

"You messed up with the wrong person, Mr. Lee", he smiled.

"You just messed up with my family's bloodlines. This girl here is a part of my family, you know?", he continued.

"She is the future wife of my granddaughter, Mr. Lee. How can I not do anything about this?".
